Personally I have always thought that Maypole ceremonies are really creepy. Like, why would anyone want to worship a giant penis?

There is a Wiccan herbal center near me which celebrates various pagan holidays thoughout the year. Every May 1 they actually set up a maypole out in the yard and a bunch of women come and run around it in circles, totally wrapping it in ribbons. The whole thing is really weird.

Could there be some connection between May 1, the flu in the news, and preventing disease?

You know I got to thinking that when the women run around the maypole in circles the circles are of course related to pi. Perhaps this ties in in some way...

Yes, and all of ther colors represent how the illusion is woven, and held together, with the fabric of space time.

Thanks for all your response and dialogue. I don't look at the world anymore as pop culture. I realize that all stories are about mankind regardless of the face, or name. The story is told in xstensive repetition , about the tragedy and triumph of the human soul.

That's a good point. I guess I just avoid TV and movies (and advertising!) because these things can be manipulative and also I just feel like there are other things I would rather focus on.

By no means did I mean to imply that your references to them are in any way bad - to each his own - and like I said, Wikipedia can be a help in trying to decipher your postings! Even with Wikipedia, however, 90% of it still goes over my head!

This is not out of fear it is about synchronicity between what 'they' may be telegraphing to happen or want to happen. But you certainly cannot deny that the use of marketing is a vehicle to telegraph information, over and above just entertainment, be it for the better or worse.

Well, I don't either, but maybe we just don't "get" it. I like to follow 777 The Great Work's threads because they are interesting (to me, anyway). 777 doesn't seem to have much faith in organizations like the disclosure project, but I don't let that stop me from enjoying his threads.

I don't even know who "Xmen" are... One problem I have with 777's material is that he makes many references to TV, movies, advertising, etc. I have absolutely no interest in popular culture and avoid all these things as much as possible. So that makes it even harder for me to try to understand his material. Thank God for Wikipedia!
