This is nothing new, although this article, NoCaste, does lump all the questions into one big pile...
I, being an environmental biologist and botanic, have never believed the "Global Warming" theory, personally. I do believe that the warming/cooling is a natural phenomenon. Here: http://www.globalweathercycles.com/manuscript.html you can get a free e-book, for a limited time, entitled "Global Warming - Global Cooling Natural Cause Found". It's very interesting! Apparently sunspot activity is not really necessary for CMEs - there was a story I saw yesterday (or the day before) - caught it on the web. Now let me go see if I can find the site.
Here's a story from 2000 http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2000/ast13sep_1.htm alys Last edited by alyscat; 04-27-2009 at 01:55 PM. |

Sept. 13, 2000 -- On Monday, Sept. 11, the sunspot number dropped to its lowest value of the year. The face of the Sun looked remarkably blank with only a few tiny spots visible in telescopes. That was is amazing for me don't know about you?The CME could be a result of the closing down as it were? Like a pressure cooker without the valve???? |
