Thanks P4BLO!
You are on your path my friend note I have come to understand (after spending time) as a novice in the franciscan order tradition, the friars wore a knotted rope around the waist of their habits~ The significance and meaning (of this humble fashion statement), reminded the confirmed postulate that he and she (yes the order of St Clair was the franciscan equivalent), were in preparation to return to the heavens and the knotted rope was their symbolic ladder. As bleak as the world's condition might appear presently and as empty as it can leave you feeling~ you were (then and now) being prompted (reminded) of your mission~ too look upward and climb back to your origins. Luminari~ as always wonderful contributional posts~ quite timely and insightful photos Last edited by giovonni; 10-12-2009 at 07:41 PM. |

Beautiful starry skies, lovely pictures! Giovonni you have given me a little knowledge here about the franciscan monks very interesting this has come at a time when i am looking into the franciscan's i actually had franciscan monks at my wedding many moons ago (38) years ago, strange to say the least!! Pagan perhaps! all i know is that i was married in an anglican church!
