How to Vet an Article Before Posting It

The thought has occurred to me that it would be helpful if we all (including me of course) took some extra time going forward to vet news articles before posting them and then not posting them if they're probably from untrustworthy sources.

Unless, of course, we want to post the article to show how disinformation agents work, in which case we should clearly state our purpose in the title of our thread or in the introduction of our post...

Anyway, one thing I think we should at least do is go to the "About Me" or "About Us" tab on the website in question and do some reading. If there is no "About Me" or "About Us," I think that is a red flag.

What do the rest of you think about this?
