Default Re: U.s. Gov't will collapse before summer 2009

"According to a Bulletin issued out of Cannes, France..."

i would be interested in reading the Cannes Bulletin if i could

link please?

anyways, i lived through Katrina. I saw what well-armed communites can do in a crisis. i doubt the police or military could do better.

people in our communities banded tightly together. vigilance was impressive. god be with the looter or trouble maker that accidentally wandered there.

a well armed populace bound by a common thread is a terrifying force to be reckoned with. look for example in afghanistan. russian and american might have been unsuccessful against the locals there despite all the sophistication of our armies. a sobering thought.

most of the shoot-em-up scenes about new orleans after Katrina that were shown in the msm were in poorer communities where most people were not armed cause its not exactly cheap to be armed, and/or most people had left and the thugs took over certian areas.

i personally dont believe in killing cause someone steals from you. i think its sad. if someone grabs some food then what? blow them away? naw.

while i was impressed how communities banded together after Katrina, i was very disturbed by the large number of people willing to kill another human because of theft. it disgusted me how they yearned (almost with excitement) to 'catch' some poor slob stealing a worthless flooded refrigerator or tv. this type of aggression scares me.

since katrina i never really looked at or felt the same about some of my neighbors... when law and order breaks down, and john q. public assumes absolute authority... john q. publics true personality becomes evident. i forgot the famous author of this quote but it goes something like this... 'nothing can test the character of a person greater than absolute power.'
