Exchanger!,that is a huge plan.....or a huge community I should say. It great to see all the work you have all done so far. The reason Im replying though is about the "150,000".
I myself do not have these resources, in fact Im pretty poor, and that is my biggest problem for the upcoming challenges. I f I decide to sell valuable stuff I own, I could maybe come up with 25,000 dollars.....I always thought that I would have to make it with just that. Don't get me wrong, the more money in the pot, the more "energy' to work with, but at the same time, if we talk about the spirit of the people you would want in your team, Im not sure that everyone with 150,000 would be spiritually aligned in the same direction. Here in Canada, that amount of money could be considered rich. Well, you might end up with rich people who have nothing else to contribute and just want to save their asses. In that spirit, you could end up with problems down the road. If you are not aware of Michael St-Clair, check him out....I really like his way of thinking when we talk about building mini societies for the futur. He mentions that your "team", or "society" is as weak as its weakest link...in other words, if you end up with people who are not grounded, spiritual, or minded to "work" in the same direction as everyone....the whole project could easily be compromised. Im just saying that some people with lots of money could have a selfish attitude and bog down the process of creating a community, just because they never really worked spiritually but more selfserving than anything else. Also, 1700 people, that would be hard to assure that everyone is on the same page! Im not saying that your views or project is vowed for failure, but it seems to me that 1700 people could end up being like you never left the city... I hope Im not being too negative here because its not that at al..OK? Cheers Olam |

we have a lot of idea
i have credit people need homes people need jobs people need to eXchange with one another our ideas / address all of those things we might even get someone with all the money to build it - so; then; we will ONLY be in debt to PEOPLE not banks -- this will be like the "good old days" i will detail more of it later some people might own a unit but, rent it out to people who are attending retreats some people might live there and, have a business and/or work for someone else it's almost like building a condo (sometimes; they sell out; before anything is even there) i will share more, in the days to come we have thought a lot of it through and, have concepts that are already working for others in being a go-green type of community we also; will have people who will be on the inside, that will help people, with NOTHING get into the project cheers i am Susan The eXchanger Last edited by THE eXchanger; 12-26-2009 at 11:51 PM. |

No, i have NOT read "anastasia" books
however, i am aware of them they are supposed to be, quite good i have a big hedge behind my house of cedars-- and, they do sing ![]() i am a sage, NOT, a scholar so, i enjoy "exchaging" and, "experimenting" and "writing" more than "reading" brightest blessings to you i am susan aka The eXchanger Last edited by THE eXchanger; 12-26-2009 at 11:53 PM. |

your project is quite utopic, first of all ,the required money is high for some of us and you must determine CAnada or Ontario will be safe in case of Nuke or Tsunami?

Hi eXchanger,
I've thought about some similar ideas of a shared structure, where the owners can rent out the space when not in use, but at a lower entry price point, $25-30k with private room and common space. If you can attract $50million, you have some talent; these days, not many people have $150k to spare. /Wayne |

Hi,
I plan to visit Toronto, and hoping to see few of you in person to discuss in details, I do not know how close missauga is from Toronto, but I’ll see what I can do. I don’t have a car and don’t really have much money because I am university student… (university of waterloo) I have one and few pontential like minded people they are like a year or 2 younger than me (I am 20) My parents…if I say few more times, I think my dad would send me to mental hospital. So if you could give me your e mail address in private msg, we could arrange a meeting for a better discussion and so on. Thank you |
