This is one of my favorite interviews of all time..Bill Moyers interviewing Joseph Campbell, the author of occidental mythology series and according to Lucas, campbells work was the main influence for his star wars films.
"The interviews were filmed at George Lucas's Skywalker Ranch during the final two summers of Campbell's life (the series was broadcast on television a year after his death). In these discussions, Campbell presents his ideas about comparative mythology and the ongoing role of myth in human society. These talks include excerpts from Campbell's seminal work The Hero with a Thousand Faces." The Power of Myth - Episode 1: The Hero's Adventure The Power of Myth - Episode 2: The Message of the Myth There are more episodes but I can't find them o/l at the moment. |

I love Joseph Campbell!
He is one of my top 10 heros. I was in a spiritual black dark abyss when someone introduced me to his work many years ago. He is brilliant light unto the world! Karen |

Thats a nice little story Karen, I can certainly see how Josephs work would have that effect. He definitely was a maverick as he likes to put it. I was only turned onto his stuff about a year ago. A great soul, I sent it love and thanks for its wonderful contribution in more then one prayer since.
