I reckon whatever we read it's been done many times before
Not sure why they do it though as there are already more than enough people on the planet, unless they are making hybreds then whats the point?
You can copy the body but the soul will be different

The baby girl, nicknamed Eve, was born Thursday, December 27, and weighed 3.1 kilos (seven pounds), according to Brigitte Boisselier, head of the Clonaid company, which is funded by the Raelian movement that has the six-pointed star as its emblem.

Notes -

The Raelians Cult

Clonaid, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, was founded in 1997 by the Raelians, who claim 55,000 followers worldwide.

The Raelians believe life on Earth was established by extra-terrestrials who arrived in flying saucers 25,000 years ago and cloned humans.

The movement's founder Rael, onetime French journalist Claude Vorilhon, describes himself as a prophet and claims cloning will enable humanity to attain eternal life.

Rael, who now lives in Quebec, claims to have seen long-haired, olive-skinned aliens land near a volcano in central France in December 1973 and has long preached about the aliens who created life on Earth.

In an interview with AFP just hours before the announcement, Rael alleged the cloned baby girl is "a major step for humanity, but it is the first step in the direction of the ultimate goal: the creation of life -- or, more specifically, a 100 percent synthetic being -- in a laboratory."

Council of Europe ban on human cloning ratified
9 March 2001

The additional protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine, prohibiting the cloning of human beings, came into force on 1 March, having been ratified by the required five member states (Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece, Spain and Georgia). The protocol has also been signed by an additional 24 countries, including several EU countries but excluding the UK, which is also not a signatory to the original Convention itself. Interestingly, the protocol leaves it up to individual countries to define what is meant by a "human being". If embryos created by cell nuclear replacement for research into embryonic stem cells (and only allowed to develop for up to 14 days) are not defined as "human beings", then the recent changes to the UK Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act permitting this research would not necessarily prevent the UK from signing the protocol.
