Greeting's Avalonian's,

The remake of the 1951 Classic 4 Star movie, is coming to a theatre near you!

What do you think, should they have made this again?

they are doing a lot of remakes, a few seem to have extra terrestrial themes to them.
Coincidence or planned?

Interesting times ahead. The remake of this old movie. The new one next year about 2012. and others.

If you watch the clip on the post i submitted earlier regarding "How the media controls your mind", the military sometimes contributes to the budget film makers to pass ideas along. This is the link.

burgundia,
Maybe, I should have let Patti answer this, but its from the original 1951 movie. if you have never seen it before; It is considered (one) If not the best scfi-movies ever made!! The phrase (in cosmic lingo), is a command to Gort the Galactic Robotic Policeman from his Space Commander Klaatu! I believe, if it was not delivered, by the young woman, in the movies climactic last minutes, it would have been curtains for the planet Earth!!!

Klaatu barada nikto!!!

The ending was VERY lame.

The basic story was good, but the ending was different...Didn't the original have the visitor remain on our planet to see that we do things right???

In a dramatic farwell on the Washington Mall>
With their silver saucer rising ever upward>
Klaatu and Gort left>
but with a stern warning too the people of Earth>
the Galactic Federation> would be watching!

liked the first half, but yes, the ending was oh so lame, empty ...

keanu played klaatu's role great

let's see what "2012", "knowing", etc. will have to offer ...

same themed movies ... coincidental?
