Default Hawaii, Maui: Lahaina has been wiped off the map

Not sure this has been reported here…. Dew ? Why ?

Fueled by strong winds from Hurricane Dora, wildfires left widespread damage across the Hawaiian island of Maui. Local authorities report at least 36 people have died, and hundreds of buildings have been destroyed.

"As the firefighting efforts continue, 36 total fatalities have been discovered today amid the active Lahaina fire," a Maui county statement read.

Three wildfires started earlier this week and rapidly spread on Wednesday. Preliminary estimates show nearly 300 structures have been damaged or destroyed, and more than 1,000 acres of Maui's Upcountry have been charred. Power is out for thousands across the west of Maui.

Makes me very sad to see the videos and the before and afters - as we visited that town on our honeymoon and that famous banyan tree and park was a memorable, magical place, now all ashes and death it appears.

Maui’s famous banyan tree scorched in fire. Will it survive?
The famed 150-year-old banyan tree in Lahaina, Hawaii, stands scorched at the center of wildfire wreckage Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023

Wildfires spurred by winds from Hurricane Dora ripped through Hawaii’s Big Island and Maui on Wednesday and devastated the town of Lahaina, while also threatening the town’s historic banyan tree, which has stood for 150 years.

Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz on Thursday posted a video on social media taken from the base of the massive tree, showing its scorched and ash-covered roots and branches. He noted that it was “smoldering at the base, but still standing.”

Others on social media wondered whether the iconic tree would survive the blaze and elaborated about its historical significance in Hawaii. “Only time will tell if it survives the injuries sustained in the fires, but it feels like a small beacon of hope in this disaster,” one person wrote on social media.

What is the Lahaina banyan tree?

Known as the oldest living banyan tree in Maui, Lahaina’s banyan is located near the town’s historic courthouse building, adjacent to Lahaina Harbor. The tree was imported from India and planted in front of the courthouse in 1873 to honor the 50th anniversary of the first protestant mission in Lahaina, according to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation. At the time it was planted, it was only 8 feet tall but now is the largest banyan tree in the U.S., according to the Hawaii Ocean Project.

The area around the tree is known as Lahaina Banyan Court Park and is a host to activities throughout the year.

    What happened to the tree?

Videos posted on social media and aerial photos taken Wednesday and Thursday showed the banyan tree was scorched by the fire that ripped through the city. However, the tree is still standing. It remains unknown whether the tree will survive the fire damage.

An update posted on Maui Information Guide Thursday said that the tree was charred but added “it’s said that if the roots are healthy, it will likely grow back, but it looks burned.”

James B. Friday, a forester with the University of Hawaii, told the New York Times on Thursday that “It certainly doesn’t look like that tree is going to recover” after he reviewed photos and videos of the damage. He said that the banyan would have been protected by a layer of bark too thin to withstand the fires.

What are the tree’s signature features?

The tree stands over 60 feet tall and features 46 major trunks in addition to the original trunk, and shades nearly two-thirds of an acre, according to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation. The tree is a member of the fig tree family and its aerial roots drape towards the ground, which allow the tree to grow vertically and horizontally, according to LahainaTown.com. It is home to hundreds of mynah birds, which were introduced to Hawaii in 1865 to control army worms.

Default Re: Hawaii, Maui: Lahaina has been wiped off the map

This is just heartbreaking for me and my family..

When I was 19, I moved to Maui... I moved there with my now husband, and it was the first and only time I have ever lived outside of California. I lived in Lahaina, in Puamana, just to the right of the end of Front Street, (to the right of the Banyan tree... from the aerial photos) I worked at Long's Drugs at the cannery, to the left (from the air) of Front Street... And my now husband, worked at MGM (Maui Gold Manufacturing... ) Just behind the antique train...

All are now wiped off the face of the Earth...

I grew so much during that time, and when my husband left Maui, I stayed, and the locals took me under their wings as their own little fledgling "Haole' Girl... " I was barely 20 then, and I was 2,500 miles away from home, and thought I was alone, until they "Adopted me"...

They made sure I ate properly, often times bringing me fresh fish, when their husbands would go out fishing, and invited me, like family, into their homes... They didn't respect tourists much, but they didn't consider me a tourist, I was family.. And many have experienced this once actually living there.

I cannot even fathom what they are going through at the moment... I knew people from all over the island, met their families, saw their homes and was always welcomed... To know they are all suffering, is heartbreaking... It's a helpless feeling not being able to reach out to any of them due to a lack of power and services... Many lost not only their homes, but their ability to make a living... And some their lives as well... I couldn't bring myself to even watch the news coverage until yesterday.

The poster of Puamana, framed on my wall in the bathroom, looks like a cartoon now. The lasting remnant of what once was, my entire past washed away, and now just memories... I am still in shock and I wasn't even there. I was not just there for a week or ten days. I lived with these people, and my heart breaks for each and every one of them...

I don't even know what to say... Sorry just doesn't seem like "Enough"... I wish I had the resources to help them all... I hope this thread stays active... I want to know how they set up methods of helping... so I can contribute in some way as the entire island helped me when I was so very young... And it touched my heart...

I also loved Maui and had many trips there starting around 1965, so I know how you feel about it. Late at night while camping on a beach near Lahaina was where I saw my first UFO's. There were 3 or 4 of them and we watched them come down from the mountains and fly around us for at least 15 minutes (which is a long time for a sighting). Surfing was also fantastic on Maui. I lived on the Big Island for 3 years but Maui was probably my favorite island. I do think there must be a reason for this to have happened as even the most horrible situations often turn out to be the most valuable lessons. I tend to see awful things from both perspectives... my mind knows it is terrible and painful while my soul knows it is perfect.

Just wanted to note that the mainstream news is reporting ‘55 dead’ on some reports I saw they used the number 53. The number of people actually deceased isnt what they are reporting… they are reporting a coded number. 55 and 53 are the reversal codes denoting or claiming this as a blood sacrifice by the cabal.

    https://ascensionglossary.com/index....versal_55_Grid

If you ever go through reports of the recent hurricaines, fires, floods etc, pay attention to how many times the number 55 or 53 is used. This is a hallmark number used by the cabal to tag the event as ritual or denote it as frequency fence metatronic reversal spiral / siphon architecture. Or look at how ‘payments made’ in things like restitution or fines or monies bequeathed to things like war or any controller pilllar of society structure/event/agenda will be done in $55 or $53 (billion or million or thousand, doesnt matter its the coding symbology is significant) encoded sets.

When you see this as an officially reported number, its the cabal talking making a ritual claim to the suffering and destruction.

See it for what it is and it ceases to have power.

The thing with the coding and the symbols used and the ‘archontic deception strategy’ is… these beings have no capacity to link in to creative source, they lack that which is why they are stuck in consumptive modeling and siphoning energy off living systems. As such, they only have the same few dance moves. Once you start to be able to see the codes and recognize the strategies as they roll them out, reality assessment shifts and its possible to make better choices given an accurate perception of the events. Its why they have done EVERYTHING to suppress awakening and target anyone who is a) awakening and b) making headway on waking up those around them with even the smallest of seed planting gestures. Once you see it and know the play strategy, it changes their camoflage and they are fully seen for what they are!

This fire is not natural, clearly. It targeted a major economic center on a sacred place and killed people and a sacred tree. When i see pictures I instantly recall the scenes in the Star Wars Rogue One film when they ‘test’ the Death Star technology on the sacred Jedi city of Jedda… this is a mirror of that.

Of course the reason why Star wars was so popular is because it is a mirror of the real galactic war timelines many of us intuitively remember or recall via our ancestral links via our living DNA light codes. I often see movies they make and its clear to me that if they are trying to obscure a lie, such as tech that already exists even though we are still so bass ackwards in so many ways with techniques we still have to rely on here, or even past events that occurred, its like they know they cant suppress this in the collective consciousness entirely, because its there - its all holographic to the whole. So they make a ‘movie’ about it, and then if awakened people proceed to discuss past timeline events or even current realities, and they resemble a movie script or a plot line of some controlled media propaganda piece, well then the truth tellers get dismissed as simply repeating ‘a script’ from a controlled source, rather than actual information. Easy camoflage. So… we just see that holographic hijack for what it is and proceed with a more accurate reality assessment and intuitive guidance.

The media is clearly totally broken. What is frustrating is that it WILL NOT help give info to keep one safe in the event od a coordinated assault attack like the Lahaina fire clearly was. So, situational awareness and internal guidance systems and beleiving one’s own intuition (however bizarre it sometimes seems!!) is mission critical. Its pretty clear the ‘death star’ tech is online and they are making examples of it known. See it for what it is, and proceed accordingly with divine guidance.

This is so very sad and devastating for everyone. I can only imagine what these poor people are going through.

I live on the Big Island, just below Maui Island. On Wednesday when the fires started they say that the hurricane was causing heavy winds, but not so much. It had suddenly turned way to the south and we experienced only the edges of the winds. I had been concerned about the 40 - 80 mph winds predicted. However, it was pleasantly breezy, not the 50 mph plus winds they spoke about.

The news readers reported that due to the heavy winds responders were unable to do much. However, there were helicopters flying overhead and others air lifting injured people to Honolulu. Trees not close to the fire were not moving as they would in a heavy wind.

In April and May I started seeing a lot of adverts and warnings about hurricane season approaching, noticeably more than I have seen before. My thought was they may be planning on a heavier hurricane season than usual.

Lahaina before and after. It was a lovely little historic town with deep roots in Hawaiian culture and history.

Below are a few videos I found helpful. This Youtuber, whom you may recognize, was researching during CV, Cali fires and more. Asks a lot of questions and is a fairly astute observer. She has one of two other videos on this.

Not usually a fan of Michael Jaco but a friend sent it and it has some relevant information, especially on DEW weapons. The Maui fires look like this. Some observers mentioned that fires started in several places at the same time.

Incredible video shows Lahaina church miraculously untouched by devastating Maui wildfires - while famous banyan tree that spans two acres IS still standing. *Makes me think of a directed energy weapon.)

The Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in downtown Lahaina is seen still standing amidst the rubble
The church, which has stood since 1846, maintained its stain glass and tower structure even as the ground around it smolders
Lahaina's 150-year-old banyan tree also appears to have survived the fires albeit severely scorched from the flames

I am beyond shocked at the 2 videos the gal created above, thank you for sharing them Franny... Perhaps this is too emotional an issue for me to comment on, but I will anyway... I do apologize ahead of time if I upset anyone...

It's my opinion, that the gal in the 2 videos above has no clue what she is talking about, and couldn't even identify Lahaina on a map... Sad really, yet I am sure she is "raking in the bucks for the clicks", while people try to learn if their friends and families survived...

Her "How Sad" when she watched the lady drive past the person in the smoke filled streets, probably left to die, while she laughed, was repulsive in my opinion...

Some bullet points about Lahaina.. For those who want to really know about the island... And the town specifically...

Many structures were built a long time ago, and were only shells with wooden siding on the outside, and that is why they went up like matchsticks. This was a tropical island... MOST of the hotels are built like the "mainland", as guests would expect that, but these were just very thin boxes... Many attached to eachother as on Front street. The hotels are further up on the coast, and from what I can tell, were not affected...

Boats have a lot of fuel on them, and can be very flammable... ESPECIALLY wooden ones... And more than likely they caught fire before they left the harbor...

There were tons of dive shops with large explosive tanks there

There were many gas stations in that area that could/would explode

Most people barbecued daily on that island... With propane tanks on their barbecues

Tires burst under excessive heat and they sound like an explosion.

    Winds CAN start fires...

Winds can shift where it pushes a fire and it can miss some things...

The emergency services were busy rescuing people, and there was no stopping this fire. AND they were the furthest away from Kahului... the hospital, and airport... Where the majority of the services are. More than likely the Lahaina fire Dept. burned down.

as far as fires "Missing things"...

People were driving through the fires to get out, more than likely that is why you saw random cars abandoned and on fire.

I am all for a good conspiracy... But this to me is tasteless.. They haven't even begun to finish the body count, and she is talking as if this happened 10 years ago. The fires are still burning.

The entire island gets sudden rain storms, mostly up country and through the Pali, but the winds coming into Lahaina on a good day would blow a vehicle out of their lane if the driver were not paying attention. And many times, it almost blew us off of our motorcycle as once up to speed, the wheels became a light barrier, and the wind would push them out from underneath us... The winds may not show in the videos but they come and go, like the rains, and they can be massive.

This woman posts an image of a roof structure that shows just how thinly built many of these buildings were... Yet goes on to imply they should have something left standing. And she suggests she is familiar with fires as she lives in California. I too live in California. born and raised, and have spent my entire life here, outside of my time living on Maui... And the two places, and their fire conditions couldn't be any more different. From the types of trees, to the winds and terrain. Living on Maui was like living on a different planet in that regard.

And I live in fire territory, the foothills, in Nevada City...... so we get evacuated ALOT. What we see here is loose pine needles blowing across the streets, decidious tree leaves... Bark flying in the wind storms the fires create, THAT is what gets flying through the air... Typically green grass pastures do not burn, only the dried out grass...

Those aren't the kind of trees Maui had, And Lahaina specifically... they had palms... Beautiful palms.. And of course the Banyan...

I just wish people would do more research before they present something like these videos, and at the very least, be able to point to the location on a map, before citing Physics... I couldn't even finish the video...

Granted, it could have been arson, but to jump straight to a DEW, is a BIG JUMP... And would require a lot more than pointing to the wrong location on a map, and yelling "CABAL"....

If they do find the starting of the fires suspicious, I would worry more about who else has DEWS than just the USA, and other large countries... But it's a bit too soon, in my opinion to point to some things and assert it was a DEW... Mother Nature is a tough opponent...

These DEWs are now being used to accelerate the cabal's "climate emergency" agenda and what better way to do that than to target high profile destinations like Lahaina.

Fortunately, there are enough internet sleuths around now to dig into this further in the coming days so it will be interesting to see what unfolds.

These DEWs have a laser like accuracy when fired from drones so they do tend to leave a unique signature and their trail is readily identifiable. The firemen in Paradise, California a few years ago saw it (video example below).

As someone living in Australia who is aware of the climate alarmist agenda and what the cabal is capable of, I'm very much concerned that they are preparing our East Coast for something similar because our winter is seeing zero rain fall and their use of geoengineering to steer rain in any direction they wish could mean we are in for an exceptionally dry summer this xmas (southern hemisphere) and massive DEW activity.

It's all very tragic and difficult to swallow the utter evil at work here.

I certainly couldn't say for sure at this point if these fires on Maui were started by DEW. I also live in Australia and have been in one of these fires with so many suspicious things that happened that was so different than reported on the MSM and all the aftermath that followed. There is no way to experess the devastation and evil involved, one never get over it. Knowing the furture agenda for different areas "planned" for whomever is left leaves me very suspicious now. Of course there are natural fires and now there are many unnatural fires too. I pray for all these people and the sadness that will follow that will never go away.

Much appreciated Denise, thanks. Common Sense is a rare thing these days in media attention grabbing and heightened suspicion. My heart goes out to you, Nancy and everyone closely associated with the devastated regions.
I've never been to Hawaii myself but understood that, in a special group of islands, Maui is particularly special, for whatever reason.

We've gone through terrible bushfires here in Australia; I understand the catastrophe and trauma of them. But to have a whole town wiped out like that, that's a whole new level of catastrophe. Perhaps this will trigger the release of state-of-the-art tech, for housing and infrastructure rebuild. I understand Christchurch in New Zealand was able to use their most recent earthquake disaster to create a whole new approach to rebuilding their CBD, for example.

In any case it's too soon yet to think further ahead but that might be one silver lining to this terrible occurrence. Sending much love to Hawaii.

I think it should soon be obvious who did it. Just wait for the rich "Rescue Teams" that show up out of the blue offering to "Help" by buying out everyone devastated and of course for pennies on the dollar and there ladies and gentleman will be the ones likely behind it all. They should at least be the number one suspects!

Not to say DEW not involved, but watch out for disinfo spreaders - like Stew Peters -who appears to have posted this without comment in a disinfo example..

(Maybe he just reacts without research but I have seen much crap from him)

There's a couple images floating around being faked as recent Directed Energy Weapon strikes in Hawaii - they're actually years old images that aren't of DEWs

The image on the left is a long exposure shot from a SpaceX launch in May 2018

The image in the tweet on the right is a meteor over Michigan in Jan 2018

P.S. - most DEWs are invisible to the naked eye. If the Deep State wanted to hit something with a DEW, you wouldn't see the energy beam

I read the reports that some of these efforts are intended to buy up control of this property cheap - time will tell....

Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos and fiancee Lauren Sanchez said they will give $100 million toward restoration efforts on Maui after deadly wildfires devastated the island.

Sanchez said in an Instagram post they are “heartbroken” by the recent events in Maui and are creating a fund to “help Maui get back on its feet now and over the coming years.” Bezos, who has a net worth of $163 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, owns an estate on La Perouse Bay at the southern tip of the island.

“The immediate needs are important, and so is the longer term rebuilding that will have to happen — even after much of the attention has subsided,” said Sanchez, a helicopter pilot and founder of Black Ops Aviation.

Meanwhile, Hawaii-born and raised entrepreneur and philanthropist Steve Case said he would contribute $1 million to support communities affected by the wildfires.

His donation is being made by the Grove Farm Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Case’s Kaua’i-based Grove Farm. In addition, Maui Land & Pineapple, where Case is the majority investor, has announced a series of steps, to provide on-island support, as well as a long-term commitment to assist in Maui’s rebuilding efforts.

“The destruction and loss on Maui is devastating to watch, and the impact on communities such as Lahaina is tragic,” said Case. “This iconic, historic town represents the best of the culture, natural beauty and warm Aloha spirit that has come to define Hawaii. My heart and prayers go out to all of those impacted across Maui by these horrific events.”

The $1 million donation will be directed to the Hawaii Community Foundation, which launched a Maui Strong effort to mobilize support for the relief and rebuilding efforts; World Central Kitchen, which is already on the ground on Maui providing food to frontline workers and people who have lost their homes; and the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army, both of which are working around the clock to provide shelter, food, and emotional support.

The rapidly spreading fires in the historic town of Lahaina on Maui have killed at least 59 people, a number that officials say is expected to rise as roughly 1,000 more remain unaccounted for and crews continue to search through the damage. Accuweather Inc. said its early estimates of the economic toll range between $8 billion and $10 billion.

President Joe Biden declared a major disaster on the island, which allows federal funds to be used to assist recovery efforts. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is looking at short-term housing for Lahaina, according to Anne Bink, associate administrator of response and recovery, and the agency’s search effort remains underway.
