Default Day One - Ex-NSA Analyst Reveals Unconstitutional Warrantless Surveillance Programs

Day One - Ex-NSA Analyst Reveals Unconstitutional Warrantless Surveillance Programs Under Bush

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/...81200#28781200

The NSA used "sweeping metadata" (specific words, groups, URLs, domains, name-tags) to filter EVERY SINGLE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION IN THE US, including phone, fax, and computer, according to Russell Tice, a former NSA analyst who was fired when he began asking too many questions and questioning his orders. Journalists were a prime target, 24/7. He himself admits to writing in long-hand (with a pen and paper only) to 'sources' because every one of his electronic communications were "filtered" and "scrutinized".

The Coverup has bred such an excessive paranoia that virtually anything could happen as we go forward into transparency.

Days Ahead will see more and more of this. Mr. Russell Tice was asked back again tomorrow night to answer even more questions. It was an amazing bombshell on the landscape.

Write to letters@msnbc.com and please thank them for their courage in allowing this broadcast, even though we know that with Bush out, these revelations will continue. Keith was almost speechless, as I guess millions of others were; if this is happening on Day One, NOW is a time to write because for the first time I think we might actually see justice.

Wake up - this surveillance has actually been occurring for years - every so often we get snippets in the media - e.g. jails in the UK have been secretly bugged - this story broke in 2008. The laws are only there for us, the Govt just breaks them as few have resources to take it to court & even if someone wins a court case against it, it simply pays with tax money (costing govt nothing). Now is time to unwire & regularly use pay-phones & throw away sim cards etc.

Helvetic -

Wow, 'unconstitutional' is a strong, true word!! Nice advice, too, and I did just that. It's beautiful seeing truth shine. Reality may be ugly, but a vision of Freedom is not.
