Electric Cars / Wind turbine

Does anybody on here have an electric car they've converted or had converted?

I'm looking in to doing it over the next few years. i've got a car to use but need to learn more about the options for the components... If i could fasion a free enery motor in to the system that would be great but unless one finally comes on the market or one of you guys is in the uk and has the abilty to make one it looks like a standard motor will have to be used.

I am in the UK and like you i am looking into converting a 4x4.
