Put garlic in your cooking, also onion will ward off those colds.
Start eating oranges, orange juice or taking vitc. Take Echinacea capsules or Homeopathic remedy to help prevent colds and flu use Anas Barba homeopthic drops. For a sore throat gargle 1-2 drops of TTree oil in a small glass of water or a Hot lemon drink with honey. There are some homeopathic remedies Gelsenium 30c,Belladonna 30c if you get a cold or flu.A good herbal cough mixture which you can buy at most supermarkets is Irish Moss.and euclyptus oil in a carrier oil or cream for your chest or blocked nose.If you have a cold or flu put 5-10 drops of TTree oil in a very warm bath before going to bed.Make an air spray with 5-10 drops of TTree oil in water to spray your whole house. IF USING FOR CHILDREN USE SMALLER AMOUNT OF DROPS, FOR INFANTS ONLY ONE DROP OF ESSENTIAL OIL. If you have chest infections you can also make a poltice with castor oil ( 10%dillute) and place it on your chest for an hour at a time. |

Tea tree oil is also excellent when taken through steam i.e. head under a towel and over a bowl of hot water - be careful though obviously!
I've also found that red grape and dark berries get rid of cold/flu in 2/3 days with immediate signs of relief. Although it depends on where you get your fruit/veg as well, if organic it's still not great unless the seeds used were organic too. The place where you buy from counts too in their growing/import practises e.g. I found that general supermarket 100% (probably from concentrate and not organic) red grape juice in Paris had instant healing effects whereas I wouldn't say the same of 100% juices from supermarkets in London. |
