I suspect that upon global awakening ~ if we all banded together in collective intention we have the ability to save ourselves.

I agree, I believe we will be able do anything we chose to do collectively when the time comes that we come together...BUT while the majority still sleeps, we can visualize also protection for the planet, while working together in conjunction with our allies who are surely doing the same.

In agreement with the statement the we will be able to manifest collectively in order to meet the needs of humanity and the planet. Definitely believe that we can do that right now if we choose. Which brings up the grid. Not the electrical grid, but the grid of energy surrounding and protecting our planet. For a day or two now I have had the idea in my mind that continuing to energize the grid in our meditations will help. I also am looking into making a faraday cage for some of our electrical items, and getting ready to plant a garden. And, like feardia, I am anxious for the energy being sent from Hunab Ku. The CME will be from the Sun is my understanding, but the energy coming from Hunab Ku is so much more. I started sending love to Hunab Ku several years ago, about the same time I felt the need to send light and love to the grid. Not that I have meditated every day for those years, wasn't in a position to do so mentally. Now I am trying to re-establish my meditation practice and get more involved during my awake time. I think we are all very much connected and hard at work during our dream time. Anyway I just wanted to bring up the grid because it keeps popping into my mind. Throw the idea out there and see if anyone else is getting the same thing. |

http://www.examiner.com/x-2383-Honol...2-solar-storms
Electrical power grid to be blasted by 2012 solar storms March 27, 12:56 AMHonolulu Exopolitics ExaminerMichael Salla, Ph.D. A report issued by the National Research Council (NRC) in January 2009 has warned of the far reaching consequences of a solar storm hitting the Earth as the sun becomes more active during solar cycle 24 which began in 2008 and peaks around 2012. A March 23 article in the New Scientist discussed the significance of the NRC report which details how a solar storm could wipe out the electrical power grid causing massive disruption in the U.S. and around the planet. The impact of the plasma energy directly bombarding the Earth during a solar storm could lead to electrical power stations being off line for weeks and months at a time, as overworked workers try to repair badly damaged electrical equipment. According to the NRC report, this would lead to “disruption of the transportation, communication, banking, and finance systems, and government services; the breakdown of the distribution of potable water owing to pump failure; and the loss of perishable foods and medications because of lack of refrigeration.”

You're welcome celticstar and thank you for the link.
Here is a little tidbit that is an eye-opener. On January 6, 2010 there were 1091 potentially hazardous asteroids. EMP? When I think of getting by without electricity my mind thinks of several things... 1. How to get water into the house as we are on a catchment system and need to pump water in just to flush toilets. 2. How to have hot water for showers, laundry and cleaning. We did get a solar generator but need to portect it.. however we're thinking sump pump or maybe something else if that doesn't work. Just installed a solar water heater... but it too has a pump that needs electricity. 3. How to keep food cold.. refrigeration system? 4. Illumination (oil laterns, candles, windup flashlights) 5. How to cook? Solar oven, propane oven, bar-b-que grill, gas oven 6. Communication (hand held short wave radio) 7. Transportation - bike, horse carts, feet Folks are looking for older cars but how to power them if gas pumps don't work?

![]() ![]() Oh my goodness Carol! Weelll, I'm not really that shocked by your list. It's not like I haven't considered all that before many times. You are leaps and bounds ahead of me with the solar water heater and solar generator. I want to have some sort of deep cell battery array to power just the things I will need like a small fridge (or maybe the big one) lights, and maybe a hotplate. Water is a different thing. Flushing toilets will be a problem. One item I did shell out some serious $$ (for me anyway) for was an ecoloblue. But it needs electricity also to work. So add that to my power needs. I do have a nice little camp stove that runs on canisters. The canisters I have-about 24 of them were purchased at the same time Dad got the stove for Y2K. The canisters look to be in good condition, no corrosion or anything so I have my fingers crossed there. I have about two weeks of dehydrated food for two people, but should get some more in, enough to last several months to a year. I am considering a gas generator, but would prefer to get a solar-one or two of the stick variety. Also want some of those seeds in a can. Will be planting a garden this spring. If we get solar CME/EMP/storms it could fry that so I want to seed to replant- maybe in containers. I am going to find the alternative energy orgs around here and see if I can't get some help designing and implementing my deep cell system. I want to be able to generate power to store with my bicycle as well as with the generators. Water and water storage are two of my main issues. 40 gal drums would be nice, but you have to be aware enough to get them filled, though I suppose they could sit around full until we need them. Hot water for showers would have to come from some sort of 5 gal hanging black plastic thingy. If there were sun it would be easy. No sun, you got me, sponge baths I guess. And you'd be surprised how quickly you can adjust to bathing in cold water. I have done laundry in the bathtub before having to heat some water and pour it in then pretend I was stomping grapes. It worked fairly well. But maybe the way to go there would be an old fashioned washtub and washboard. And once again with our new cold water detergents laundry could be done in cold water. I would truly like to have some modicum of comfort if we lose power for some time, but can make do when necessary. Makes me all the more grateful when we get services back. Medical supplies are a necessity. I just ordered some colloidal silver, c gold and MMS. I have a fair amount of first aid supplies left over from when Dad was making the transition. I would have to get a few more things like ointments. As for your water catchment-if possible a windmill could move the water up to a small thank that would gravity feed. Or once again the old bicycle would work. I would love to get an old car, but that doesn't appear to be in the works, maybe on the horizon. So I guess it's the bike or foot for now, though in my present location some roller blades would work too. Actually I hope to be out in the country by 2012. I would like to dig a kiva type residence. Still trailing after that idea. This is turning into a missal so I'll stop now. I do get a grin thinking about all the exercise I will get on that bike. ![]() Last edited by celticstar; 01-06-2010 at 05:41 AM. |

Hi Carol.
Have a look at this. Found it on a page referenced on the alternative energy for your home thread. Personal Utility Solar Power Pack While it may not resolve your challenges, it would run my ecoloblue and other things too. Link to thread Alternative energy for your home Some good and interesting info on this thread. Good links too. There are also some comments there about power for pumping water. Someone there, minimeister maybe, recommends using a DC pump for the water because it can run directly off solar panels. No inverter (I believe they are called). Good idea. A couple of more links posted by minimeister: Wholesale Solar Mr Solar And the site where I am looking at the solar generators I am thinking about: Solar Stick Education Page I am not incredibly knowledgeable about electricity and have tried to avoid it all my life-it always bites me. I get shocked in day to day life when others don't. Guess I'm going to have to learn a bit about it now. ![]() DC is a good choice. If I have to replace my fridge (and it's making noises) I'll opt for one that runs AC/DC/propane. Had one in my old RV a few years ago and it was great! To my embarrassment I have been using the term deep cell when I should have been saying deep cycle. As in deep cycle battery. Think I'll go nose about a bit more. Miriam |

ahhh, love the kiva idea. Think root cellar with old tires on top of the roof and then earth. I think the tires would help prevent against the solar but am not sure about gamma rays. Must have a least 5 feet of earth over head. I ran across some great root cellar plans and wanted to build one just to store the food, seed, tools and books. I had some ideas about the exterior as cinder blocks covered in polyurathane liner to prevent water leakage, covered in metal roofing and then lined inside with timber which could latter be taken outside to build a structure. But I also thought of a dome tent covered in layers of cement cloth built up and buried under 5 feet of used steel belted tires and earth as well. I just don't know yet as caves seem out of the question at this point. We have lava tubes but one really needs their underground shelter nearby if they want to get to it in a hurry.
The underground structure is to protect against CME and intense winds but how does one handle the ventilation in that type of structure given what may be going on outside? Is the structure also covered in copper lining?

Hello everyone !
Here's one of the things I've been noticing lately, regarding the sun, and still haven't got any satisfying answer to, yet. In the past months , several of these strange shiny "objects" have been sighted passing the sun and mostly disappearing, suddenly into thin air. An example can be seen right now as I am posting on the http://2012info.ca/EarthWatch/Solar_Observatory.php . It seems to have entered soho range for almost a month now starting with December 2009 , January 2010 . A similar one has passed almost the same route from soho's angle, starting with 25 october 2009. By introducing the exact dates, you can also see them here on http://sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-..._movie_theater Does anyone have any ideea / opinion on what they might be ? Love and peace , Perplex |

![]() It's the planet Venus. As you see in the diagram below ofthe current positions of the inner planets, from Earths perspective (same as SOHO's) you can see Venus is about to pass behind the Sun and Mercury is about to pass in front of it. You wont see Mercury with SOHO as the unlit side will be facing the spacecraft but as the planets pass on the far side they are lit up by the sunlight and appear as bright horizontal lines with a round middle. By the first week of February Mercury will be visible on SOHO the same way as it passes *around back* ![]()

![]() SLIDING PLASMA AND A CME (FEBRUARY 5, 2010) ![]() The STEREO (Behind) spacecraft could see streams of plasma sliding along magnetic field lines above a sputtering active region (Jan. 26-29, 2010). The dynamic streams were just over the Sun's edge and readily spotted as the Sun rotated them more into view. Then it gets more interesting. About mid-way through the clip, a small coronal mass ejection (CME) shoots out and into space at about a million miles per hour, carrying some magnetic field with it. Most CMEs are more bulbous and wide: this one is quite narrow and contained. Nonetheless, our solar scientists agree that its speed and characteristics suggest that it was indeed a non-typical CME. http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/pickoftheweek/

![]() Solar radiation warning:mainstream http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/s...ists-warn.html Stronger radiation from the Sun 'will cause sat-navs to fail', scientists warn Britain’s satellite navigation networks could soon experience problems and disruptions caused by higher levels of radiation coming from the Sun, scientists warn. By Andrew Hough Published: 1:00PM GMT 10 Feb 2010 Experts say solar flares interfere with signals from satellites orbiting the earth, causing receivers to lose track of their position. Scientists warn the Sun is now on its way to another "solar maximum", which will cause the stronger levels of radiation to hit the earth. Researchers said satnav devices were facing the threat from an expected increase in solar flares from the Sun that could cause unpredictable errors in navigation. Experts said the bursts of radiation caused by the flares interfere with signals from satellites orbiting the earth, causing receivers to fail and lose track of their position. Now British scientists say the Sun is on its way to another “solar maximum”, which will cause the stronger levels of radiation to hit the earth. It is feared this will cause satnav receivers to be blinded for minutes at a time and could result in drivers becoming lost or involved in accidents. It could also cause problems to emergency services, high-precision surveying, shipping and even military operations, they added. Prof Cathryn Mitchell, from the University of Bath, said while the sun’s affects on navigation were difficult to project, the errors could last hours or even days. “It varies quite a lot across the Earth; looking at the UK it will be about 10-metre errors in the positioning,” Prof Mitchell told the BBC. A study in 2008 found the natural light shows of the Northern Lights – or Aurora Borealis – interfere with the signals from global positioning satellites, which are used by Sat-Navs to pinpoint the locations of vehicles, boats and aircraft. __________________

Hi Carol, I see you were one of Ben Murphy's friends I saw what most of the people put on that why is Kinsue banned, the answer is no real reason as I posted on the Question to Bill, I have proof of Heather, proof of Bens info as I go back a good four years with the cat, so go take a look. Excuse my bad language mam.
For the rest they can say do whatever, I just had to bring it to light. Marco |

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2...ormwarning.htm
This is an older solar storm warning from NASA but some questionable insiders are pulling this url up and passing it around. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/news...d/1432901.aspx Space station at risk after US satellite destroyed WASHINGTON 13 Feb, 2009 01:00 AM http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap100203.html Astronomy pic UFO P-2010 A2-Ovni en el Space ~ all this stuff behind the artifact isn't dust. Michu Kako says they don't have a clue as to what this is? Possible ~ the collision of two astroids in space. He is also the person who warned about the solar flare 2012. However this may also be about the potential of somthing hitting the sun. Just discovered 01/06/2010 "what Hubble saw indicates that P/2010 A2 is unlike any object ever seen before The key here is to learn how not to rely on electricity or get extra microwave ovens (old ones that are broken will work) to use as a faraday cage and make sure they are grounded. Store communication systems in them like walkie talkies, batteries, solar recharging system, hand held ham radio, old fashioned ringer phone, flash drives, laptop and charging units - think what you will need. I have the entire mother earth series on DVD. Stuff that is important that one can use would need to protected. Gamma Ray Bursts. EMP? In part: "In scientific circles where solar flares, magnetic storms and other unique solar events are discussed, the occurrences of September 1-2, 1859, are the star stuff of legend. Even 144 years ago, many of Earth's inhabitants realized something momentous had just occurred. Within hours, telegraph wires in both the United States and Europe spontaneously shorted out, causing numerous fires, while the Northern Lights, solar-induced phenomena more closely associated with regions near Earth's North Pole, were documented as far south as Rome, Havana and Hawaii, with similar effects at the South Pole." More interesting (and more recent) from the same article: "In March 1989, a solar storm much less intense than the perfect space storm of 1859 caused the Hydro-Quebec (Canada) power grid to go down for over nine hours, and the resulting damages and loss in revenue were estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars." Nasa cam pick of the week. Today 3/5/10 ![]() Google Cronal Mass Ejection (2010.02.28) (HD) youtube Long scorned as “mysticism” and “parascience,” concern about the year 2012 has now surfaced in a mainstream NASA report on the potential impacts on human society of solar flares anticipated to peak in 2012. The Obama administration and other national governments are not aggressively focused on contingency preparations for the 2012 solar flare impacts, or on introducing available anti-gravitic, new energy sources that would transform centralized high-power electrical grid systems into de-centralized, anti-gravitic and quantum process energy sources. These new energy sources are less vulnerable to destructive solar storms, have no negative environmental impact, and could unleash unprecedented economic and social transformation. Electrical grids & anticipated solar flares of 2012 Mainstream scientific concern about 2012 has grown since a recent National Research Council report funded by NASA and issued by the National Academy of Sciences, entitled “Severe Space Weather Events - Understanding Economic and Societal Impact” which details the potential devastation of 2012 solar storms on the current planetary energy grid and because of the inter-linkages of a cybernetic society, on our entire human civilization. According to New Scientist, science’s concern is a repetition of the 8-day 1859 “Carrington event,” a large solar flare accompanied by a coronal mass ejection (CME) that flung billions of tons of solar plasma onto the earth’s magnetosphere and disrupted Victorian-era magnetometers and the world telegraph system. The New Scientist states, “The report outlines the worst case scenario for the US. The ‘perfect storm’ is most likely on a spring or autumn night in a year of heightened solar activity - something like 2012. Around the equinoxes, the orientation of the Earth's field to the sun makes us particularly vulnerable to a plasma strike.” The next solar maximum is expected to occur in 2012. New Scientist reports that Mike Hapgood, head of the European Space Agency's space weather team states, "We're in the equivalent of an idyllic summer's day. The sun is quiet and benign, the quietest it has been for 100 years," "but it could turn the other way." The modern electrical high-power grid magnifies the impact of solar flares. Since the grid is linked into major aspects of modern society, the effects of another Carrington event would be devastating. The National Academy of Sciences report states: “A severe space weather event in the US could induce ground currents that would knock out 300 key transformers within about 90 seconds, cutting off the power for more than 130 million people.” The New Scientist states: “According to the NAS report, the impact of what it terms a "severe geomagnetic storm scenario" could be as high as $2 trillion. And that's just the first year after the storm. The NAS puts the recovery time at four to 10 years. It is questionable whether the US would ever bounce back.” China, which is installing a high-power electrical grid more vulnerable than that of the U.S., Europe and other developed nations will be similarly impacted. The solar coronal mass ejection from the 1859 Carrington event arrived on earth in less than 15 minutes, which is faster that our early warning system NASA's Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) can detect. European Space Agency space weather head Mike Hapgood states, "I don't think the NAS report is scaremongering. “Scientists are conservative by nature and this group is really thoughtful," he says. "This is a fair and balanced report." More perfect storm - the hole in the earth’s magnetic field According to a December 16, 2008 report, NASA’s THEMIS spacecraft has discovered a hole in earth’s magnetic field which is 10 times as large as previously thought. The magnetosphere, which is designed to protect earth from the plasma of solar flares, now has a hole in it four time the size of the earth. According to the NASA report, “Northern IMF events don't actually trigger geomagnetic storms but they do set the stage for storms by loading the magnetosphere with plasma. A loaded magnetosphere is primed for auroras, power outages, and other disturbances that can result when, say, a CME (coronal mass ejection) hits.” The solar maximum is expected in 2012. University of New Hampshire scientist Jimmy Raeder states, "We're entering Solar Cycle 24. For reasons not fully understood, CMEs in even-numbered solar cycles (like 24) tend to hit Earth with a leading edge that is magnetized north. Such a CME should open a breach and load the magnetosphere with plasma just before the storm gets underway. It's the perfect sequence for a really big event." The Obama administration, 2012 and new energy The Obama administration and most modern governmental energy departments in the 192 U.N. member nations have focused on reducing dependence on conventional energy grids (petroleum, coal or nuclear power) by introducing renewable energy sources such as wind, geo-thermal, and tidal power. These alternative sources are thought to supply about 10% of current energy needs. For example, the Obama policy with regard to the electrical energy grid is stated its official energy and the environment agenda on the White House website: “Ensure 10 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025.” This policy, which replicates energy grid policy in many advanced industrialized nations, is not adequate for the challenges of 2012 solar flares. The policy does not promote new fuel-less non-polluting energy sources now sequestered in secret, national security and black budget projects, and which have been developed using U.S. tax-payer funds. These included reported anti-gravitic technology and free energy technologies, based on Tesla technology. So here is a key question: Is human society being set up to fail and suffer an effective systems collapse with great loss of life and property if 2012 solar flares materialize in the worst case scenario? Part Two
2012-13 NOAA predicts solar cycle 24 ”weakest since 1928” with $1 trillion damages in worst case May 9, 2009 NASA Hathaway Solar cycles 23-24 (1995-2020) In a report funded by NASA, NOAA (U.S. National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) has issued a formal, public prediction that, “A new active period of Earth-threatening solar storms will be the weakest since 1928 and its peak is still four years away, after a slow start last December, predicts an international panel of experts led by NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center. Even so, Earth could get hit by a devastating solar storm at any time, with potential damages from the most severe level of storm exceeding $1 trillion.” The prediction, published in a report at www.spaceweather.com, continues: “The panel predicts the upcoming Solar Cycle 24 will peak in May 2013 with a daily sunspot number of 90. If the prediction proves true, Solar Cycle 24 will be the weakest cycle since number 16, which peaked at 78 daily sunspots in 1928, and ninth weakest since the 1750s, when numbered cycles began.” The NOAA solar panel’s predictions appear to lessen the potential risk to the high energy electrical grid system of 2012-13 Solar flares set out in a Jan. 2009 National Academy of Sciences (NAS) report. According to a New Scientist article on the NAS report, “The [Jan. 2009] NAS report outlines the worst case scenario for the US. The ‘perfect storm’ is most likely on a spring or autumn night in a year of heightened solar activity - something like 2012. Around the equinoxes, the orientation of the Earth's field to the sun makes us particularly vulnerable to a plasma strike.” The 2012-13 solar maximum The NOAA panel has conditionally predicted the 3rd calmest solar cycle since 1755. The report on its findings states, “The panel also predicted that the lowest sunspot number between cycles—or solar minimum—occurred in December 2008, marking the end of Cycle 23 and the start of Cycle 24. If the December prediction holds up, at 12 years and seven months Solar Cycle 23 will be the longest since 1823 and the third longest since 1755. Solar cycles span 11 years on average, from minimum to minimum. “An unusually long, deep lull in sunspots led the panel to revise its 2007 prediction that the next cycle of solar storms would start in March 2008 and peak in late 2011 or mid-2012. The persistence of a quiet sun since the last prediction has led the panel to a consensus that the next cycle will be ‘moderately weak’.” 2012-13 solar flares & the high energy electrical grid Still, the report on NOAA’s solar prediction panel refers to the Jan 2009 NAS report's risk assessment, stating: “A recent report by the National Academy of Sciences found that if a storm that severe occurred today, it could cause $1-2 trillion in damages the first year and require four to ten years for recovery, compared to $80-125 billion that resulted from Hurricane Katrina.” Solar force multiplier - the hole in the earth’s magnetic field The revised NOAA solar prediction does not lessen the force multiplier effect that large holes discovered in the earth’s magnetosphere may have of the destructive effect of plasma from 2012-13 solar flares. An April 1, 2009 article (above report) on the risk of 2012 solar flares stated, “According to a December 16, 2008 report, NASA’s THEMIS spacecraft has discovered a hole in earth’s magnetic field which is 10 times as large as previously thought. The magnetosphere, which is designed to protect earth from the plasma of solar flares, now has a hole in it four time the size of the earth. “According to the NASA report, ‘Northern IMF events don't actually trigger geomagnetic storms but they do set the stage for storms by loading the magnetosphere with plasma. A loaded magnetosphere is primed for auroras, power outages, and other disturbances that can result when, say, a CME (coronal mass ejection) hits.’ “The solar maximum is expected in 2012. University of New Hampshire scientist Jimmy Raeder states, ‘We're entering Solar Cycle 24. For reasons not fully understood, CMEs in even-numbered solar cycles (like 24) tend to hit Earth with a leading edge that is magnetized north. Such a CME should open a breach and load the magnetosphere with plasma just before the storm gets underway. It's the perfect sequence for a really big event.’” The Obama administration, solar cycle 24 and new energy Though lessening the risk of probability of solar storms in solar cycle 24 (2009-2020), the conclusions of the April 1, 2009 Examiner.com article as to the vulnerability of the high-power electrical grid system still stand. “The Obama administration and most modern governmental energy departments in the 192 U.N. member nations have focused on reducing dependence on conventional energy grids (petroleum, coal or nuclear power) by introducing renewable energy sources such as wind, geo-thermal, and tidal power. These alternative sources are thought to supply about 10% of current energy needs. For example, the Obama policy with regard to the electrical energy grid is stated its official energy and the environment agenda on the White House website: ‘Ensure 10 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025.’ “This policy, which replicates energy grid policy in many advanced industrialized nations, is not adequate for the challenges of 2012 solar flares. The policy does not promote new fuel-less non-polluting energy sources now sequestered in secret, national security and black budget projects, and which have been developed using U.S. tax-payer funds. These included reported anti-gravitic technology and free energy technologies, based on Tesla technology. “So here is a key question: Is human society being set up to fail and suffer an effective systems collapse with great loss of life and property if 2012-13 solar flares materialize in the worst case scenario?” MORE INFORMATION ON SOLAR CYCLE 24 NASA: Deep solar minimum (2009) - [link to science.nasa.gov] NASA: The surprising shape of solar storms (croissant-shaped) - [link to science.nasa.gov] Do we know if this is the accurate projected date? Oct 28, 2011 This was an article from NASA about the CME a few days ago: STEREO (Ahead) watched as a strong coronal mass ejection (CME) and an eruptive prominence rose up and stretched way out above the Sun's surface (Feb. 28, 2010). The composite image and movie show the action in both extreme UV wavelength (orange Sun) near and just above the solar surface overlaid on the frames from STEREO COR1 coronagraph that shows the material as it rises out into the corona. The video clip shows about 8 hours of activity. This is one of the brightest and most substantial CMEs we have seen in several years. And the presence of such bright prominence material in COR1 is very rare and has only been seen twice before. This looks interesting. http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2...lHill2009.html http://www.greatdreams.com/2012.htm Cosmic Ray Chart 1990 - 2011 ![]()
