I realize that pretty much everything is imperfect...except pure mathematics. I'm idealistic...but I'm also pragmatic. Reinventing the wheel is not a good idea...just because a particular wheel is not perfectly round. Article 6 and the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution are problematic...but I'm pretty much OK with everything else...once the wording is adapted to apply to the entire Solar System.
