That is strange for sure. I enjoyed watching it. Might make a good screensaver. =) I have no theory on what that is but thank you for the link. Well, ok I think it might just be one fantastic show of nature.

I have done scuba ice diving, it is quite easy to cut a hole in the ice with a chain saw. There are trailings around the hole the same as being drawn up from a chainsaw blade. Also is you notice there is some gap between the circle and the ice, with the current of water it would cause a rotation of the disk. Although really neat looking, nature many times has the assistance of man often after a case of beer.I
