The decision by the White House to bestow an International Women of Courage Award on a member of an infamous far-right Ukrainian nationalist battalion is “disgraceful,” Moscow’s ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, said on Thursday. He claimed that the move was further evidence that Washington is ready to support Nazis in the fight against Russia.

Speaking to reporters, Antonov was asked to comment on the award received at the White House by Yulia Paevskaya, who goes by the nickname ‘Taira’. The ambassador said Moscow had noted the honoring of a member of the Azov battalion, a Ukrainian unit closely associated with neo-Nazi ideology, on International Women’s Day.

Antonov described Paevskaya as a “terrorist cutthroat whose hands are covered in the blood of the elderly, women, and children.” He alleged that in March 2022, as the fighting raged in the besieged city of Mariupol, which is now part of Russia, Paevskaya “pretended to be a mother of two children whose parents she had killed herself,” and then tried to escape disguised in civilian clothing.

“The abducted minors later confessed that Paevskaya had threatened them with violence,” the diplomat added.

Paevskaya was captured by Russian forces in Mariupol in March last year. In June, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced that Kiev had managed to free her from captivity.

Paevskaya also took part in the Western-backed coup in Kiev in 2014, trained neo-Nazis in the Donbass region, and “committed crimes against civilians,” Antonov claimed. He noted that the Azov battalion bears the symbol of a Nazi German SS division, referring to the Wolfsangel (wolf’s hook), an insignia that was used by the 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich during World War II.

Antonov asserted that Washington is well aware of this information, but “to hurt Russia, the United States is willing to glorify Nazism.” He added that the US authorities should be “ashamed” of themselves for dishonoring the American and Soviet veterans who fought against fascism during World War II.

The International Women of Courage Award is a prize annually distributed by the White House. This year, in addition to Paevskaya, it was bestowed upon 10 other “extraordinary women… who are working to build a brighter future for all.”

The missile barrage came in response to a terrorist attack on Russia’s Bryansk region, the Ministry of Defense has claimed

Russian forces have delivered a massive missile strike on Ukraine’s military infrastructure as retaliation for Kiev's terrorist attack on Bryansk border region earlier this month, the Ministry of Defense stated on Thursday. It added that all assigned targets had been hit.

In a statement, the ministry outlined that the attack involved “high-precision long-range air, sea, and land-based weapons, including the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system.” The latter has a range of more than 2,000 km.

“The massive retaliation strike” hit key elements of Ukraine's military infrastructure, defense industry complexes as well as energy facilities that contribute to their operations. “The mission has been accomplished. All assigned targets have been hit," the statement read.

The ministry went on to say that the barrage destroyed attack drone bases and disrupted the transportation of reserves and foreign weapons. The attack also disabled facilities used for repairing military equipment and ammunition production, it claimed.

The strike came after a Ukrainian raid into Bryansk region on the Russian-Ukrainian border on March 2 left two local residents dead and injured a ten-year-old boy. Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the incident, calling it a “terrorist attack” and labeling the saboteurs “neo-Nazis.”

Responsibility was claimed by the Ukraine-based Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK). While Ukrainian officials denied responsibility for the incursion and dismissed it as a "provocation" by Moscow, Denis Nikitin, a neo-Nazi fighter involved in the incident, told the Financial Times last week that Kiev had “signed off” on the raid.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian authorities reported attacks on energy facilities across the country, with partial blackouts sweeping through several cities, including the capital Kiev. General Valery Zaluzhny, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, claimed that the latest strike involved over 80 missiles.

That was an excellent video, Helvetic. Scott Ritter was spot-on and succinct as usual.
I'm now looking forward to the (mentioned at the end) video on the WMD in Iraq. Although it was a very long time ago, there are still many unanswered questions, and Scott Ritter may be just the person to address them. Gordon Brown said in a YT video that the Americans were aware there were no WMD before the west invaded Iraq, and so imo it's unthinkable that Tony Blair didn't know as well. Also worth mentioning while off topic, on the day Prince Harry was emblazoned across the front of the tabloids for wearing the swastika shirt, there was very small article on an inside left-hand page announcing that the official search for WMD in Iraq had been called off, which of course was hardly noticed.

Only a well-trained intelligence service could have carried out the Nord Stream sabotage, Putin’s spokesman says

Western media reports claiming that a “pro-Ukrainian group” was behind the explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines last year are not plausible and must not distract from an investigation into the actual perpetrators of the sabotage, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

“As for a pro-Ukrainian ‘Dr. Evil’ who organized this, it’s hardly believable. The task was too difficult and was only within the scope of abilities of a well-trained, state-run intelligence service, and there aren’t too many of those in the world,” Peskov told journalists on Thursday.

Moscow believes that the investigation into the attack on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which were built to deliver Russian gas to Europe via Germany, shouldn’t be allowed to be “swept under the rug,” Peskov added.

“It’s also unacceptable for attention to be distracted to what we call an ‘unworthy object,’ to some secondary versions and theories,” he asserted.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has also commented on the recent reports in the Western media, branding them “blatant low-rating B-movie stuff.” Medvedev claimed they were aimed at “bamboozling” European citizens, who have suffered most of all from the destruction of Nord Stream.

On Tuesday, the New York Times claimed that a “pro-Ukrainian group” may have been behind the sabotage of the pipelines at the bottom of the Baltic Sea last September. The US outlet’s anonymous sources insisted that “no American or British nationals were involved” in the operation.

Also this week, several German outlets have reported that the country’s investigators probing the Nord Stream blasts had established that a yacht allegedly used in the attack belonged to a Polish-based firm but was “apparently” owned by two Ukrainians.

Commenting on Wednesday, Peskov said that the articles in the US and German media were aimed at overshadowing last month’s report by veteran American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, who blamed Washington for the attack.

The Aftermath of the Battle for Marinka (Extra Scene from 'Ukraine's Failed Ceasefire')

On June 3, forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) attacked the Ukrainian-controlled town of Marinka, around half a mile west of the rebel stronghold of Donetsk. The assault came three months after the signing of the second ceasefire, agreed in Minsk between the DNR and the Ukrainian government after the collapse of the first truce in early January.

This ceasefire though, much like the first, failed to bring an end to the fighting. The attack on Marinka was the first large-scale assault on a Ukrainian-held town since February, and led many to believe a feared DNR summer offensive had begun. The assault failed, however, after the Ukrainian forces swiftly counter-attacked and forced the DNR to retreat — with both sides blaming each other for the escalation.

It's the first time I hear a MSM commentator mention the Biden administration's "intentional" push to WW3, as Tucker Carlson is doing in this interview with Tulsi Gabbard below.

We need more of this on MSM. More importantly, we need the MSM to say clearly that in fact, WW3 between nuclear powers could only result in major world depopulation. Only a few well-prepared wealthy elites would survive this in their luxurious bunkers. So, it follows that the elites' push for WW3 is really a plan for world depopulation. If this was out front and centre in the media, would everybody drop what they're doing and go after the criminals in high places, like right now???

You will find early on in this thread that I have never supported the United States supplying Ukraine with money or weapons. It is my belief that the extreme faction of the progressive party is calling the shots on behalf of Biden. These political extremists have made a deal with military contractors for money and power. These same contractors are now flooding our planet with weapons of death on a scale never seen before.

Mankind cannot continue on this path of perpetual war without expecting deep repercussions. Choosing sides in this horrific man-made event is analogous to participating in the war. How could anyone in their right mind look at the videos and still images of Maryinka and say.................it was full of Nazis therefore it is OK to murder every man, woman and child in this town. Justifying murder on a grand scale is nothing more than a mental illness and I mean that in the most literal sense of the words.

No matter how many real or perceived Nazis were crammed into the country of Ukraine and no matter how much death and destruction they unleashed on the Russian citizens living in Ukraine it will never match the long-term life-altering, catastrophic destruction Putin has inflicted on a neighboring country.

Regardless of how many sabers NATO rattled in the direction of Putin's home, it does not rationalize murder on a grandiose scale. It is time for the USA to abandon NATO and turn its operations over to the Europeans. If they choose to keep NATO in place it should be funded entirely by NATO countries.

What is happening in Ukraine wreaks of Obama's last year in office (yes, it is relevant) when he dropped more than 30,000 bombs on Syria, essentially dropping three bombs every hour for 24 hours every day for a full year. Most Americans would probably be astounded to realize that the president who has been painted by Washington pundits as a reluctant warrior was actually as hawkish as they come. In 2016 under Obama's personal direction, US special operators could be found in 70% of the world’s nations, 138 countries – a staggering jump of 130% since the days of the Bush administration. This is relevant to the war in Ukraine because Obama has the stomach for war, he has the disposition to tolerate a high level of death and carnage without concern for human life. He has always spoken about peace but his actions always shouted war.

Putin has sadly been goaded into a scorched earth behavior by the American shadow leadership of Obama and others. They want this war to drag out as long as possible and it appears that Putin is going to be accommodating. Each passing day weakens Putin's position at home and ingratiates him even deeper into the geopolitical shift toward China. Putin has relegated himself as nothing more than a vassal of China simply to cling to power in a country where he is slowly losing grip.

Can anyone explain to me how mankind benefits from this war? I am not talking about leaders of countries or opportunist countries like China but the greater good of mankind. Who wins, and who benefits from murder in Ukraine?

There has always been a perceived rivalry all over the world between good and evil and has it ever made a difference? Not really, maybe this is one of the lessons that mankind is put on this planet to collectively learn.

We are now in a situation where Putin can only lose. The United States and Europe can only lose and Ukraine has already lost.

Yes, there is a lot to be destroyed in times to come.

For example, Saudi Arabia is a somewhat artificially-made, modern tyranny, while Iran has been so Iranian throughout recorded history, that at one time, the Germans wanted to name themselves after them, the Aryans.
