The scheme allegedly resulted in the diversion of hundreds of millions of dollars from Braskem to a secret slush fund used, in part, to pay bribes to government officials, political parties and others in Brazil to obtain and retain business. Grubisich, who also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Braskem, and in various capacities for Odebrecht, was charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the anti-bribery provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), one count of conspiracy to violate the books and records provisions of the FCPA and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.”

Notice the ‘slush fund’ reference? Yeah, me, too.

All of this started with the idea that Ukraine was the KEYSTONE. That if you somehow removed it from the ‘fabricabed structure,’ as built by Joe Biden and Barack Obama, the entire thing would crumble.

Again, what was created in Brazil with all of this money? That’s right – a SLUSH FUND...

“Grubisich and other senior executives at Braskem and Odebrecht allegedly engaged in a massive and sophisticated international bribery and money laundering scheme, employing secret slush funds, shell companies, and false accounting,” stated Assistant Attorney General Benczkowski. “As demonstrated by the charges unsealed today, the Department continues to work closely with our domestic and international partners to root out and prosecute corporate fraud and corruption at the highest levels.”

Sure enough, his name shows up. He resigned from Halliburton, 18 January 2019.

It was his first visit to the country, and the president used the opportunity to pledge that he would be resuming ceasefire discussions with the Taliban, the insurgent force the U.S. originally invaded Afghanistan to oust. Trump made the announcement during a meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.

Trump secretly left his Mar-a-Lago Florida resort Wednesday night and set out across the globe to produce the type of made-for-TV moment the commander-in-chief relishes. The White House planned in advance to keep the president's Twitter account active during the trip in order to not raise suspicions.

Air Force One landed, interior lights off and shades drawn, at Bagram Air Field at 8:33 p.m. local time. Trump was greeted on the tarmac by Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who had arrived in the country separately on Wednesday.

When he traveled to Iraq last year, he had just ordered a full withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria and had pushed for halving the nearly 14,000-strong U.S. military contingent in Afghanistan. This year, Trump is still working through a U.S. drawdown in Syria — recently saying that hundreds of troops would remain to protect oil facilities — and still pushing to reduce the military presence in Afghanistan to around 8,600 troops.

Every time he moves closer to troop drawn down, something happens to derail it.
Maybe this time, that won't happen.

President Trump China Strategy: Death By a Thousand Paper Cuts…

Within this dynamic lays the real reason why Beijing cannot wait for a 2020 election hoping that Biden or Bloomberg can stop their bleeding. Before going into more depth, this brief explainer from Charles Payne will help establish a framework.

What Payne outlines is correct; however, the internal Chinese ‘tariff-offset’ dynamic is actually even a little deeper. Overlaying the NY Fed research we can see that Beijing has attempted to offset the Trump tariffs in four majority ways:

• A devaluation of their currency by roughly 10% since the tariffs were implemented. This makes the dollar a higher value when purchasing. The U.S. dollar purchases more stuff.
• Direct subsidies by the communist control authority. That is a direct payment to the exporting Chinese company to offset the drop in prices they may need to be competitive.
• Indirect subsidies. Remember, China is a communist system. Beijing can tell a province to cancel the electricity bill to a company within that province. Beijing absorbs the cost.
• Incentives for enhanced end-product delivery. As Payne noted in the video the Chinese company just give the purchaser more stuff at the same price. That additional stuff offsets the tariff cost. This free stuff shows up in new contract terms.

Bloomberg’s incomplete pass with NFL ads

I hope all my readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with special times with family and friends.

As I celebrated the holiday watching a little football I noticed early on the Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg ran two commercials during the early game and then additional ads throughout the day.

I’m pretty sure the nationwide NFL football audience is not part of the billionaire’s core supporters. His ads point to his work on climate change and social causes, which probably do not resonate with most of the country.

Nevertheless the media tycoon, who is said to be worth $54 billion, has already pledged roughly $40 million in ad buys as well as $100 million in digital ads directed against President Trump and an additional $20 million for a voter registration drive.

I do not believe — but I could be mistaken — that in the ads Bloomberg identifies as a Democrat. His campaign is also directed towards Trump and not his fellow primary opponents.

This may be the smartest move on his part as upcoming reports on the Spygate fallout from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz and US Federal Attorney John Durham will damage long-time entrenched Democrats currently in the running for president.

Although he's putting in tons of money, like Biden, he seems a bit half-hearted about it all.

Biden oscillated about running for president until about the time that Ukraine opened an investigation back in March this year.

At the time, I thought it was because he had hoped that he could claim that the investigation was because of political rivalry when it became public.

Which is exactly what he did.

I've often felt many of the Democrat candidates are running for a similar reason.

There are many on-going investigations that are not being covered by the political / establishment elite media proxies.

How many of these candidates are trying to get ahead of this, to claim political rivalry?

I think Serial Brain uses geomancy, and is not necessarily what clif is looking for in terms of the Phi relationship.

Not many people know, but Atticus used mathematics in at least three of his posts when he was active here back in 2011.

I recognized this mathematical potential in the Q posts almost from the beginning.

It'll be interesting to see what more is learned on this potential aspect of the Q posts.
