Default Mother Earth is a Receptive Partner

Mother Earth is a Receptive Partner

Several years ago, I’d walk Wolfie, my dog along the pine trees. While he poked around, I’d send ‘hellos and thanks’ to the trees. After a time, I noticed they'd move when I’d share in conversation. I’d experiment. It wasn’t consistent, but it was more apt to work when I kept to a heart connection and stayed out of mind.

Fast forward to last winter when I was on a walk. The blustery wind hit straight on. When I’d experience the wind go through me, the push back lessened. The intellectual part of me said the wind died down. So I envisioned the wind go through only the one arm and switched to the other. The same for the legs; resistance on one and none on the other. Too, when I noticed my face stung from the bitter wind, I relabeled the belief. The face warmed. (relatively speaking)

I’d get that tickle in the belly or just below the belly button, i.e. the energy center called the dan tien. The feeling is similar to when you're high on a swing and are just about to come down. I relaxed the body and made friends with the wind.
What’s the point? I’m experimenting with how I’m more than I once believed. And as it happens, Mother Earth is a receptive partner and always available. The discovery is concrete and the feedback is immediate.

    Experiment: Relaxed Body

How I’d explain a relaxed body is stand on one leg and tense up your muscles. How long can you stand?

Now, compare that to when you relax as much as you can: the foot, the toes, the bottom of the foot, the ankle, the calf, the knee, the hip region, the butt, all the muscles, even the upper body. You stand for a lot longer; that’s grounded, rooted, relaxed. If you have trouble then notice where you’re tense, then relax-relax-relax.

It’s helpful to check in with your body, even when you’re sitting. A common area that builds up excess energy is the shoulders and neck region. Relax them. Notice again. Relax. Often folks tense up immediately. If you’re prone to headaches, run a check to see if your housing tension.

    Relax. Inhale. Exhale.

Thanks for starting this thread RunningDeer
You just led me back to a memory of when I was very young and how I used to experiment with stopping and starting the wind.
The place we lived in was very windy and I would spend hours every day talking with the wind and it always seemed to respond whenever I asked it to slow down, stop or get faster again. I'd completely forgotten about this up until right now

My son and I now go cloudbusting. I learned this from the same site that led me to Jane Tripp's time travel photo's.
    It really does work!

Friday we, me and kids, went to pick some wild berrys... We didn´t see much of them until we started to ask for permission and thanking for the berrys, as soon as we thank our eyes started seen berrys all over. Great moment. Sweet and nice big berrys, we came back home with a bag full of them, i am eating some now and the taste is fantastic.
    Thanks Paula.
    Much love

I was meditating during a clear sunny day a few weeks ago and reached for a part of my brain I hadn't touched for at least a year. A great thunder suddenly sounded close to my house, I stopped reaching

breal, thanks for the link. Cloudbusting, that’s what I call cloud zapping. I wasn’t cognizant of the wind when I was young. These are the things that need to be encouraged and developed early on. Imagine how quick we’d access much more.

Thanks everyone for the great examples of how we are able to connect with Mother Earth and discover/recover our innate abilities.

This is a good thread. I have noticed, this year especially that when I get barefoot, ground and start relaxing that I get breezes consistently on what appear to be still moments outside. Sometimes I'm just taking deeper breaths clearing my spine or other times I might think of my energy centers and I almost always get nature confirmations and the wind is one of them and consistent. I'm good at being in my heart but it seems I can be there to a good degree and yet still be too much mind chatter.
    It's time to change this.

Be cautious of placing oneself in a category it may serve to box you in and not even be correct.

The quotes alone on peoples signatures are reason enough to be here.

I agree wholeheartedly with you RunningDeer.

Imagine if babies all around the world right now had the opportunity to explore all 7 of the divine elements?

My heart energies just explode with this thought.

    "Relax. Inhale. Exhale."

Truly "the breath is the key" many short poses for this in a day makes my day even in a chaotic place.
