‘Doug Richard, an advisor to David Cameron and former Dragons’ Den star, has been charged
with a series of child sex abuse offences. Richard, who was arrested on 5 January, is accused
of three counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of causing or inciting a child to
engage in sexual activity.

The alleged victim is a girl who was 13-years-old at the time the offences are alleged to have
taken place, on 2 January 2015.’

‘NASA employees were caught buying child pornography from a criminal ring in
Eastern Europe that distributed images of minors as young as three, it can be revealed.

An investigation by Daily Mail Online found staff members from the space agency
paid for pictures and videos of children in sexual situations, but were never prosecuted.

Their names have never been released because of government guidelines which
protect their privacy.The probe found that in 2010, the employees paid for the
pornography using personal credit cards or PayPal while working for the government.’

Their actions were uncovered during Project Flicker - an investigation by the FBI and
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) into American citizens buying child
pornography from Belarus and Ukraine.


An investigation by Daily Mail Online has revealed staff members working for NASA
purchased child pornography from Eastern Europe, but avoided prosecution. Pictured

The investigation began in 2007 when more than 33,000 images of minors being abused
flooded into the country.Investigators identified more than 5,200 citizens across the
country who had paid for a subscription to illicit websites in order to access the content.

In 2010 it was revealed that 264 of these worked for the Pentagon as either employees
or contractors. Some of them worked for the NSA and had top security clearance.

But the Daily Mail Online can reveal for the first time that NASA employees were also
identified in the sickening scheme in the same year.

However their names have been redacted in documents obtained by Daily Mail Online
via a Freedom of Information Act request from NASA's Office of Inspector General.

The documents initially stated that 16 employees were identified. However NASA
contacted Daily Mail Online to clarify that eight employees were involved and they
are all no longer employed by the space agency. Transactions from the workers
were discovered after a FBI special agent tipped off investigators.

Therefore it is not known whether they were disciplined or sanctioned within the
department - meaning they could still be working for the government.

When the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) investigated the Pentagon
employees identified in the scheme, they only investigated 52 of the suspects and
212 people on ICE's list were never questioned at all.



They were part of a group of federal employees who downloaded more than
33,000 explicit images of children between them (FBI headquarters pictured)


Some had highest available security clearance.

After the probe was completed just 10 were ever charged with viewing or purchasing
child pornography - prompting fears some of those caught could still be working for
the military.It is not known whether any of the NASA employers were questioned,
but it is clear they were not prosecuted - as their names have not been revealed.
If they had been found guilty of a crime, their names would not have been redacted
in the disclosed files.

A spokesman for NASA told Daily Mail Online they would not be commenting beyond
what was stated in the FOIA documents.

A former bishop has admitted sexually assaulting two young men in the 1980s and
1990s.Peter Ball, 83, former Bishop of Lewes and Bishop of Gloucester, pleaded
guilty to two counts of indecent assault at the Old Bailey.He also admitted
misconduct in public office between 1977 and 1992.Ball faced allegations of abusing
boys and young men in Litlington, East Sussex, after a review by the Church of
England in 2012 prompted police action.He had failed in a bid to get his case
thrown out after he claimed he accepted a caution in 1993 and was told it included
other offences of the same nature.


'Bishop in dock'

It was argued Ball and the then Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord George Carey, had
been assured by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) at that time that there would
be no future action over the allegations.

But Mr Justice Sweeney refused to dismiss the case earlier this year.

The court was told the church avoided scandal in 1993 when Ball accepted a
caution for a single allegation of gross indecency and resigned, despite Gloucester
Police being aware of allegations from two more men.Ball's lawyer, Richard Smith
QC, suggested the CPS may have settled on the caution to avoid the publicity of a
bishop in the dock.The court heard Lord Carey also sought assurances the case was
closed.But allegations resurfaced when the Diocese of Bath and Wells reviewed the
cases, prompting Sussex Police to reopen the investigation.The Sussex force later
charged him with misconduct and a string of sex offences.

'Misused position'

Ball, who has suffered ill health but was deemed fit to stand trial, pleaded guilty to
the charges weeks before his trial was due to start.Appearing via video link from
Taunton, near his home in Langport, Somerset, Ball admitted assaulting two victims
between 1980 and 1983 and between 1990 and 1991.He denied two other counts
of indecently assaulting boys - one aged 12 or 13 and the other aged 15 - which
will lie on file.According to the charge, Ball committed misconduct by "misusing his
position in authority to manipulate and prevail upon others for his own sexual
gratification."Details of the history leading to the former clergyman being charged
could only be reported after Mr Justice Wilkie lifted reporting restrictions.

'Tried every trick'

After the hearing, one of the men who was due to give evidence against Ball said
he was glad the disgraced bishop had pleaded guilty, but he wished he had done it
sooner.The man who was abused by Ball as a teenager in the 1970s said the guilty
plea saved him going through the trial and facing defence barristers.
But he added: "He knew he was guilty and he could have saved me and the other
victims the trauma we've been through."He tried every trick to get out of admitting
his guilt, saying he was too ill to stand trial, so I view his guilty plea very cynically."
Det Ch Insp Carwyn Hughes, from Sussex Police, said Ball had systematically
abused the trust of his victims, who included aspiring priests.He said he used
religion as a cloak behind which to carry out his grooming activity, in order to
satisfy his sexual interest and desire for young men.And he said the misconduct
offence involved 16 young men in their late teens or early 20s.Det Ch Insp Hughes
paid tribute to Ball's victims, who had "a long wait for justice".

'Unreserved apology'

The Church of England has apologised to the victims.

In a statement, the Bishop of Durham, the Rt Rev Paul Butler said: "We offer an
unreserved apology to all the survivors and those affected by this news.
"We commend the bravery of those who brought these allegations forward,
acknowledging how difficult and distressing this would have been."

He said the church co-operated fully with the police throughout the investigation
and takes allegations of abuse "very seriously".

Ball will be sentenced on 7 October.

A former bishop and friend of the Prince of Wales has admitted sexually abusing 18 young men
amid claims that the upper echelons of the Church colluded and conspired with the criminal
justice system for decades to cover up his crimes.Peter Ball, who served as Bishop of Lewes
and later Gloucester, used his position as a senior cleric by inviting aspiring vicars to his home
and abusing them over a period of at least 15 years from 1977.

Ball, 83, denied the two most serious charges of abusing boys aged 13 and 15, and he was
spared a trial after a behind-closed-doors deal struck between prosecutors and defence lawyers.
One of the alleged victims, Phil Johnson, who came forward to police in 1996 to claim that he
was abused as a 13-year-old, complained that nearly two decades later he still would not have
the opportunity to tell his story in court.

“It should be for a jury to decide whether Peter Ball offended against little boys who were under
16, not him and his lawyers doing deals in yet another attempt to belittle his behaviour and
reduce his punishment,” he said in a statement. “This does not feel like justice.”

Ball accepted a caution in 1993 in relation to the abuse of one young man, Neil Todd, and
resigned his post as Bishop of Gloucester.

The deal – which helped the church avoid a major scandal – was struck despite police knowing
about two other complaints at his then home in Litlington, East Sussex.Prosecutors wrote to Ball
at the time to say that there was enough evidence to prosecute him for indecent assault and
gross indecency but “having regards to all the circumstances” he was offered a caution.

In a statement at an earlier hearing that can be revealed for the first time, Lord Carey, who was
Archbishop of Canterbury at the time, claims he was told by a senior prosecutor that “he has
resigned. He is out of it. The matter is closed. We are not going to take anything any further.”

Lord Carey had said in 1993 that the resignation was a cause of great sorrow as the bishop was a
“highly gifted and original man”.

But after a report into the scandal of child abuse and cover up in the Chichester diocese, police reopened
the investigation in 2012 and charged him with a string of sex offences.Todd, who lived in Australia,
committed suicide in August 2012 shortly after being contacted by police.Ball pleaded guilty at the Old
Bailey via video link from Taunton after an attempt to have the case against him thrown out failed.

The Church of England issued an “unreserved apology” to the victims.

'Britain’s police watchdog is today investigating 13 new claims corrupt
police repeatedly sank child abuse investigations into at least two MPs.Special Branch
officers from Scotland Yard, who dealt with matters of national security, are accused
of being part of an alleged conspiracy to protect VIP paedophiles in the 1970s and 1980s.

One MP – likely to be Cyril Smith – was believed to be a child sex offender but officers
who tried to arrest him were silenced using the Official Secrets Act, one former detective
has said.

‘High-ranking officers’ have also been accused of closing cases ‘prematurely’ and stealing
and destroying crucial evidence taken from inside police stations.

Army told them to ignore it, a New York Times report says.

“At night we can hear them [Afghan boys] screaming, but we’re not allowed to do anything
about it,” Lance Corporal Gregory Buckley Jr. reportedly told his father Gregory Buckley Sr
before being killed in 2012.

Buckley Sr said he told his son to tell his commanders about these incidents. “My son said

Leftist media is now promoting “pedophile rights” as the next “social justice”
movement, not long after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriages.

movement, not long after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriages.

Salon.com published an op/ed by a self-described pedophile asking Americans to
“learn to accept” pedophiles and be “understanding and supportive” of their
“sexual orientation.”

“So, please, be understanding and supportive,” pedophile Todd Nickerson wrote.
“It’s really all we ask of you.”

He blamed his “sexual preference” on his brain while asserting he’s “not a monster.”’

“In essence, your brain knows what it likes and isn’t going to take no for an answer,”
Nickerson continued. “For that reason, the nature or nurture question with respect
to sexual preference is ultimately irrelevant — it becomes all but hardwired soon
enough, until it’s all you know, and it’s self-reinforcing, no matter how much you
wish to dig it out.”

Numerous political commentators predicted that pedophiles would try to hijack
the June 26 Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriages to argue that they
too are “suffering” discrimination over their “normal” sexual orientation.

“Using the same tactics used by ‘gay’ rights activists, pedophiles have begun to
seek similar status arguing their desire for children is a sexual orientation no
different than heterosexual or homosexuals,” wrote Jack Minor for the
Northern Colorado Gazette.Minor also added that “psychiatrists are now beginning
to advocate redefining pedophilia in the same way homosexuality was redefined
several years ago.”

This trend began in 1998 when the American Psychiatric Association claimed the
“negative potential” of adult sex with children was “overstated” and that “the vast
majority of both men and women reported no negative sexual effects from childhood
sexual abuse experiences.”

And in 2014 Margo Kaplan, an assistant law professor at Rutgers University, argued
in favor of civil rights for pedophiles in an op/ed published by the New York Times.

“Arguing for the rights of scorned and misunderstood groups is never popular, particularly
when they are associated with real harm, but the fact that pedophilia is so despised is
precisely why our responses to it, in criminal justice and mental health, have been so
Inconsistent and counterproductive,” she claimed.

Simply put, pedophilia is emerging as the next “sexual rights” revolution.
