Default 'MARTIAL LAW' Invoked As Congress Scurries To Avoid Another Government Shutdown

Earlier on today, ‘Martial Law’ was invoked as Congress scurries to avoid another Government Shutdown. A temporary government spending bill is expected to clear the House and Senate just before a midnight deadline on Wednesday, averting a government shutdown and providing funding until December 11. As a precaution, House lawmakers have invoked “martial law.” The use of martial law fast-tracks a spending bill by BYPASSING typical procedures. One of those procedures is that the House of Representatives has to wait a day after the Rules Committee produces rules for a floor debate before a vote on the bill can occur, according to the Hill. By invoking martial law, House lawmakers can vote on the short-term government spending measure on the same day.

Also, if Martial Law is not withdrawn before the 2016 election then Obama can take a 3rd term because of an Executive Order that he signed in 2010.
"...As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

if it came to the idea of a third term, if this thing about a executive order is true...things would get very very messy.

However, I don't think that any directly circular 'I give me money because I say so' executive order can hold up to even the slightest scrutiny. Meaning any executive order about the self, in which the self is directly the beneficiary of the order... is automatically invalidated and is up for review, with respect to conduct. Ie, the US President cannot use executive orders to make a change in his office position or change his conduct with respect to the office's legal responsibilities.

Thus, any statement about executive orders 'to give me what I want', are very very likely to be rumors.

the president CAN issue an order of marital law and become a de-facto dictator, and rule like a dictator over the US population, and can declare it, detail wise, in roll-out and act, as a secret record.

What is left, is the declaration of martial law being declared, and then the order that it is all secret. That is a total of about two lines in the official open record of presidential acts.

But the president cannot declare the office of president and rules of conduct of the president as invalid, and try to use secret executive order to subvert that.

They MAY do so in secret, maybe. But those records have to go clear, with a legal limit called a statute of limitations. IIRC, it was 50 years or thereabouts.

When you see a different president who is in the office 50 years later, declaring that the records of the office of the president NEED to be held secret beyond those years of limit, THEN you know you've got a problem.

This is indeed what has happened.

The offices of the president have declared the time period of secrecy for previously hidden acts of the president's office be held secret for even longer than the standard legal limit. Repeatedly so.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I have heard the emergency air horns being tested lately. One was tested near the Jacksonville (Arkansas) Air Force base last week while I was at work, and another one just went off in North Little Rock 10 minutes ago (although the one in NLR gets tested every Wednesday afternoon). I never realized how many military bases there are around here, and apparently I live really close to one. I get paid this Friday, maybe I should get a one way flight out of the states while I have the chance On to the "Living Off The Grid" forum!

Hm that's interesting... I read an article not too long ago (haven't been able to find it again, unfortunately) about how Donald Trump was purposefully running for President so that Obama could stay a third term.

I can't remember the exact details of it, but in broad terms it explained how Trump was a setup, an illusion for us to argue about, and that there is no plan for him to win the presidency (which I personally think was obvious from the beginning). Because, according to this article, Trump is very good friends with the Clintons and isn't actually running against her, but with her - for the democrats from the other side of the isle, so to speak.
And so, because he's making such a mockery of this election, the republicans won't have a viable candidate for the presidency. But, at the same time, Clinton isn't doing so well either - her polls have been in decline since July and have only been slightly coming back up this month - due to which there's a good chance the democrats won't have a viable candidate either.
And so what happens when election day creeps closer and there's not a serious candidate for the presidency? Obama.

And on top of that he has already made comments that he's not going to leave...

Apologies if this explanation turned out to be a bit vague, my knowledge of politics isn't very good plus I had to do this from memory, but I just thought it was interesting because this was the second time for me that the possibility of Obama running for a third term came up.

I will add a link to the article if I can manage to find it again. It obviously explained the matter much more thoroughly than I just did ;p

Little update from the same source

    https://www.rt.com/usa/317127-house-...spending-bill/

Quote Ninety-one Republicans voted for the bill, with 151 Republicans voting against it and, therefore, in favor of a shutdown. Every Democrat voted to pass the bill.
