Well this was predictable after all without 'war & terror' there is nothing
for the SAS and 'Elite' troops to do apart from training, and by definition
'combat or active deployment' is much more exciting and exhilarating

‘Colonel Richard Kemp, the former commander of UK forces in Afghanistan, said
the elite troops should be moved to Syria, Libya and Iraq to fight jihadist thugs.
Following the atrocity in which at least 30 Britons were killed on a Tunisian
beach by an IS gunman, Col Kemp said the regiment should be expanded
and equipped for long-distance desert warfare while Allied airstrikes should
increase 10-fold.
He said: “The gloves must come off. It has to be brutal and harsh.
There will be casualties but politicians will have to accept that.
“To succeed, this must not be a half-hearted effort. It requires a significant financial investment.’

‘British Prime Minister David Cameron has warned of “a very severe threat” in the UK following
Friday’s deadly terror attack in Tunisia, where over a dozen Britons were gunned down.
Cameron, who took part in the national Armed Forces Day event in Guildford, Surrey, called on
Britons to keep calm, noting, “There’s no doubt we are under severe threat of terrorism. Today
is about paying tribute to our Armed Forces. There will be heightened security at those events.
The most important thing is to carry on and thanking our Armed Forces for the work they do,
knowing in our country we face a severe terrorist threat.

‘The people of Iraq are increasingly blaming the United States for the spread of ISIS in their
country, a Wall Street Journal report reveals.
While interviewing Iraqi refugees in a tent city in Baghdad, journalist Yaroslav Trofimov
discovered that a growing number of residents believe ISIS is receiving direct support
from the American government.
“We all know that America is providing ISIS with weapons and food, and that it is because
of American backing that they have become so strong,” said Abbas Hashem, a 50-year-old
who recently fled Ramadi.
Others, such as prominent lawmaker Alia Nusseif, made equally striking comments, accusing
the US of using ISIS as a proxy army to split up the country.’

‘Kuwait’s Interior Ministry says the individual who carried out a recent
bombing attack in a Shia mosque in the country was a Saudi national.
In a statement carried by the official KUNA news agency on Sunday, the
Kuwaiti ministry identified the assailant as Fahd Suleiman Abdulmohsen
al-Qaba’a, saying he had arrived in Kuwait at dawn on Friday.
The bombing, which was carried out on June 26 at Imam Sadiq (PBUH)
Mosque in Kuwait City, left 26 worshippers dead and over 220 others
injured. The Takfiri ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.’

The fight against Islamic State is "the struggle of our generation", David Cameron
has said, as it emerged the British death toll in the Tunisian attack will rise above 30.
Home Secretary Theresa May has laid flowers at the scene of the attack.
A total of 38 people were killed on a beach near Sousse by a gunman with links to
Islamic State extremists.
All Britons injured in the attack will be returned to the UK within 24 hours, Downing
Street said.
An RAF C17 transport plane left Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on Monday at
lunchtime bound for Tunisia to help evacuate casualties.
The prime minister said that if families wished, aircraft could help return their loved
ones' bodies to the UK.
He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the "absolutely horrific" events
had "shocked the whole of the world".
He said IS posed "an existential threat" to the West, and its members in Iraq and
Syria were plotting "terrible attacks" on British soil.
Mr Cameron - who chaired another meeting of the Cobra emergency committee on
Monday morning - said the UK must have a "full-spectrum response" to the IS
threat - including continuing with air strikes.
Asked if British troops were needed on the ground, he added: "Our strategy is to
build up local armies. It's much easier to just invade a country... it's easier and
faster, but that has consequences."

Ministers gathered to observe a minute silence at the scene of the attack
Tunisia has made its first arrests over the massacre of 38 people, mainly tourists,
by a gunman at the beach resort of Sousse on Friday, the country's interior minister says.
Mohamed Gharsalli said 1,000 troops would now be deployed to protect the country's beach resorts.
Speaking at a press conference in Sousse, he thanked European ministers attending for their solidarity.
Islamic State (IS) has said it was behind the attack.
On Sunday the BBC learned that at least 30 of the dead were from the UK.

The seven suspects are currently being interrogated in

are taking part in London's largest counter-terrorism exercise to date.
The simulation of a terror attack has been six months in the planning.
The exercise - codenamed Strong Tower - involves 1,000 police officers
at locations across the capital until Wednesday afternoon.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said it would
test responses to extremists using firearms.It comes days after 38 people
were killed by a gunman in Tunisia, the majority of them British holidaymakers.
The Metropolitan Police says this week's exercise in London is not based on
any specific intelligence and is part of a long-term strategy of planning and
preparing for all possible types of terror attack.
Loud noises
Scotland Yard began planning the two-day event in January and only a dozen
people know the full script to ensure that the officers and other services taking
part face the maximum challenge.
Senior officers say that while much of the exercise will be hidden from view,
there may be occasions when the public hear loud noises or see areas being
cordoned off. Scotland Yard will be posting updates about the exercise to
Twitter, using the hashtag #999exercise.
The exercise was planned in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris in January

Sir Bernard said the threat level for terrorism had been raised over the last year,
making it vital "that we train and we learn".
He said: "The reason we have exercises like today is because, obviously, we are
concerned there are people planning terrorist events. We intend first of all to stop
them from getting to attack. But should we not stop the terrorists in their planning,
it's essential we disrupt them in any of the attacks that may take place."
Ch Supt Paul Rickett told the BBC it was "incredibly important" that the emergency
services were prepared for this type of scenario.
"Events have told us around the world that the last thing you can be is complacent,
so that is why it is important we continually respond to the emerging threat, change
our tactics and we test our capability and readiness to respond," he said.
Fire and rescue teams have a legal duty, alongside police, to prepare for civil emergencies

Although the nature of this "live play" exercise sounds similar to the attack in Tunisia, this
event has been six months in the planning and is part of a regular programme.
The officers who came on shift this morning knew they were taking part in an exercise -
but nothing about what they would be facing. Not even the "gold commander", the senior
officer making the big decisions in the operations room, will know what's going to happen.
The exercise is influenced by what happened during two incidents: the Charlie Hebdo
attack in Paris and the cafe siege in Sydney.
Scotland Yard stresses that whatever happens during this exercise, it doesn't mean they
have specific intelligence that such an event could occur. But they do want to ensure they
have planned for every conceivable type of incident in case it should ever come to pass.
How safe is the UK a decade after 7/7?
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Maxine de Brunner, the exercise's director, said the aim
was to test and challenge police and other agencies in an "ambitious multi-site marauding
terrorist attack".
"This exercise will be an on-going fast-paced terrorist situation and we will explore how we
as London's agencies respond," said DAC de Brunner.
"The exercise is at the extreme end of what might happen."
Crisis-management skills
Emergency services are under a legal duty to test their preparedness for all manner of crises
from terrorism attacks to flooding. Many counter-terrorism training exercises take place out
of view around the country and the last comparable exercise of this nature was in London
was in 2012. In that exercise, the Metropolitan Police and others tested how they would respond
to an attack on the London Underground involving a possible radiological or chemical device.
But while Tuesday and Wednesday's exercise is likely to involve comparable numbers of people,
it has been designed to stretch them much further by moving the incident around the city -
although nobody other than the directors know exactly what is going to happen. The agencies
involved in the operation include the police, London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service,
Transport For London, the NHS and a string of government departments who will face tests of
their decision-making and crisis-management skills.

Kirsty Murray and Steve Johnson, who were in entirely different parts of the
complex, as well as Mr Johnson's friend Michael Perry have all now said that
they believe Seifeddine Rezgui was not the only gunman last Friday.
Retired police officers Mr Johnson and Mr Perry have both described how they
saw a second man shooting at tourists as they hid on the third floor of the hotel.

‘Armed policeman were “paralysed by fear” and allowed the Tunisian gunman
Seifeddine Rezgui to freely massacre British tourists for more than half an hour
before shooting him dead, witnesses claim.
Even though two police officers arrived at the scene within minutes, it was said to
have been around half an hour before Rezgui was killed. In that time, 38 people,
including at least 30 Britons, were fatally wounded. The armed policemen who
arrived at the beach were “paralysed by fear”, a Belgian tourist told The Independent,
speaking anonymously because she said she was afraid. “Some youths told the police,
‘We’re not afraid of dying, give it [the gun]to us.’”
The youths took the gun and ran up to the pool area, shooting in the air to get his
attention, but then the gun jammed. The gunman turned around, threw a grenade
at them and chased after them.’

‘Scotland Yard has created an SAS-style unit of armed officers to counter the threat of a terrorist gun attack in Britain.
The 130 counter-terrorism specialist firearms officers (CTSFOs) who make up the elite unit have been equipped with
new weapons and retrained in new tactics, such as fast-roping from helicopters and storming burning buildings to
rescue hostages.
The unit has trained alongside the army’s special forces to respond to assaults such as the 2008 attacks in Mumbai and
the 2013 Westgate shopping mall attack in Nairobi, which developed into a siege. It will also be looking to see if any
lessons can be learned from Friday’s massacre in Tunisia.’

homeland, a new report shows, even as the Islamic State takes
responsibility for more terror attacks around the world and inches
closer to gaining access to Syria’s chemical weapons stockpile.
America is ill-equipped to handle the spread of a deadly virus, much
less the exposure of U.S. citizens to biochemical weapons, said Ellen
Carlin, one of the participants of the Blue Ribbon Study Panel on
Biodefense, which will release a final report this fall.’

‘Just one year after Syria’s formal accession to the Chemical Weapons
Convention (CWC), the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical
Weapons (OPCW), the international body responsible for implementing
the treaty, announced this October that almost all of Syria’s declared
chemical agents and precursor chemicals had been safely and
irreversibly destroyed.
This was an enormously ambitious and difficult effort, especially in light
of the ongoing civil war in Syria, the refusal of Syria to cover the costs
of demilitarization, the strong reluctance of any other country to destroy
the Syrian chemical stockpile on its territory, and the ongoing allegations
of continued and indiscriminate chemical weapons use against rebel
forces and civilian populations in Syria.’

FBI Exploits Baseless 4th of July Terror Threat to Establish ‘Command Centers’

‘Although the government admits it has absolutely no credible evidence that
ISIS or anybody else plans to attack the United States over the 4th of July
holiday, the FBI has moved to establish command centers around the
United States.
The command centers will integrate local, state and federal law enforcement
agencies “so officials can gauge the threat level and respond quickly,”
according to Fox News.
Additionally, the move appears to be an effort to engage in precrime tactics:
Another law enforcement source told Fox the FBI’s strategy has shifted toward
getting ISIS supporters off the streets as soon as possible, given that it’s hard
to predict when one might go operational. This could include arresting individuals
on lesser charges and then building a broader case once that person is in custody.’
