My Monroe Institute Experience

An opportunity to have a week long "Gateway Program" presented itself soon after we moved to Nelson County, not far from the Monroe Institute. Bob Monroe's secretary, Helen, was a good friend and would occasionally offer a discount to local people whenever an opening became available due to a last minute cancellation. Bob would sometimes mildly object to the discount but Helen persevered.

Much may have changed since 1993, but this is about my week there. Bob was still in this reality then. There was only one building used for the check units then. Now, programs are also conducted in Bob Monroe's home. A separate building was used for lectures. Bob and others would give presentations during the week.

The food was great.

The check units, where one slept and experienced the Hemi-Sync sessions, were either 1 or 2 people per room. Approximately 25 people could be accommodated in a week long session.

The check units, enclosed beds, were wired for audio (Hemi-Sync), and had curtains to help block light and distractions. A nice private and comfortable space. The bathroom(s) were shared with other rooms.

At the beginning of the week, watches were collected to help remove distractions. The intent was not to be concered about time.

The Hemi-Sync sessions were associated with various focus levels (not sure how to define a focus level) and Bob Monroe's voice guiding the experience. Hemi-Sync CD's designed to take one to specific focus levels are for sale.

After each Hemi-Sync session, the participants gathered together with the trainer to discuss personal experience.

My peak experience was flying through stars arranged in the shape of an eagles head. Passing through, I felt much love. And I knew I had the freedom to choose anything for my next adventure.

Other than my own experience, I remember one person who was gifted the Gateway Program by some friends. He had little interest in being there, but he decided not to disappoint his friends. He was consistently bored with the experience in the early sessions. During the Hemi-Sync sessions he would intentionally imagine himself on a golf driving range, sending golf balls out into the darkness, the result of being bored. Then there was a complete change during the debriefing session. With much excitement he said "Someone hit the ball back." We all thought that was funny.

Everyone's experience seems to be unique. My wife Maud (now-ex) and my sister Lynda also have participated in programs.

Maud experienced a past life experience in a Nazi concentration camp and an out of body visitor (a fellow participant) to her check unit. The visit was confirmed by the other person. Both remembered. Maud also had an out of body experience. She found herself standing on her head, got scared and popped back in.

Lynda was able to see the energy field around plant life, the trees and grass, in full color. That ability stayed with her for years after the program.

It used to be a requirement that one must go through the Gateway Program before one could participate in more specialized programs. I understand that requirement has been relaxed for some special programs.

The "Lab" is where the various focus levels were designed for the programs. An option, offered at extra expense, was to spend time in the Lab, wired up to sensors, for a custom designed experience. I did not do this.

Years later, after my experience, I heard stores from the Monroe Institute staff that Major General Albert Stubblebine was a popular participant and brought some of his staff with him. {update follows} There were several sessions when all space was reserved by the government. Background checks, normal for others, were not allowed for these participants. During one of these sessions, one participant freaked out and needed hospitalization. That was the end of the government only sessions.

I would consider going again if conditions were right.

Here in rural Nelson County, with only one stoplight, seems to be an unlikely location for those with metaphysical interests. Many people who have participated in the Monroe Institute programs purchased land (called the "New Land") from Bob to build their houses near the Institute. Dr. Stephen Greer (no association with Monroe) lives a few miles away.

Time is one moment of Now (when our consciousness rises high enough to experience it). Not only is time One moment, but each one of us is One person.

Here is a first-hand experience, though told in words lifted from a PBS documentary. It is an incident from a life offered as reminder to us to be the best that we can be as we wend our way through our lives.

At age 74, in 1958, Eleanor Roosevelt agreed to speak in rural Tennessee to black people. The Ku Klux Klan learned she was going to speak at a workshop in a school in Tennessee. They put a price on Eleanor Roosevelt's head, a $25,000 bounty, for anyone who would kill her. The day before she was going to speak the FBI told her they could not guarantee her safety and she could not go.

She responded that she had not asked for their protection, and that she appreciated their warning, but that she had a commitment and she was going. Speaking about this later, Mrs. Roosevelt said if you don’t take a stand, you leave the impression that you are cowardly.

So Eleanor Roosevelt flies alone to the airport at Nashville, Tennessee, and is met by a 71-year-old white woman. There is no security, no policeman, no young, strong bodyguard. These two elderly women are, in effect, going to stand down the Klan.

Alone, these two old women get in the car, put a loaded pistol on the front seat between them, and drive through the night, into the back country of Tennessee, through the mountains, through areas where the Ku Klux Klan had expressed hatred for her, to a tiny school – to conduct a workshop on how to break the law, how to conduct non-violent civil disobedience.

She was tough as nails – she had MADE herself tough. She didn’t stop because she was convinced she was doing the American thing, working for the better future.

She died November 7, 1962, at age 78. Tributes say she was the most admired woman in the world, that she transcended politics and religion. She was recognized as the best that America could be. Who she was, the vibrations of it, continue to echo.

Your experience was more extensive than mine. Through my Reiki teacher I participated in “Hemi-Sync" i.e., “Hemispheric Synchronization” from the Monroe Institute in 1989. It was over two weekends. I explain it as a technique that synchronizes the brain hemispheres to evoke relaxation, learning and to reach altered states of consciousness through the use of sound.

Before that in 1972, I did “Silva Mind Control” which is now called “Silva Method”. It’s alpha and theta exercises, visualizations, positive programming methods, creativity-boosting exercises, dynamic problem solving techniques, and what I now know to be called remote viewing.

"The Silva Method" is really just like when you catch yourself in the daydream-like stare, you’re open to free flow imagination or hone into a specific goal like, "Where are my keys?". The answer bubbles up or a visual pops in your head or gut knowing. I'd wager most already use the techniques already.

"The Silva Method" is really about our innate ability and not ‘special powers’.

I’d suggest save your money. There’s lots of information, courses and YouTube vids, or purchase the book, “The Silva Mind Control Method” or “The Silva Method: Home Study Course” CD, too.

A couple of other techniques/mental gymnastics I'd play.

Example One:

I use to have three Christmas balls that looked like bubbles hanging from my ceiling by thread at different lengths over my bed. It gave the illusion that they were floating.

A friend randomly picked the ball for me to move. I’d make only the one he chose. He’d upped the challenge and had me swing left to right, back and forth, or circle. I did, while the other two were stationary. Then for the finale, he included the other two.

I demonstrated the power of the mind and belief to him. I just visualized. See them moving. I had him try it. He didn’t believe he was doing it without my help. So I told him don’t tell me which ball you pick and just make it move. It worked. He still didn’t believe he did it. Which also demonstrated that the abilities are there even when one doesn’t believe.

If you try it, you may feel a sensation in the heart, stomach or belly button region.

Example #2 (common place now):

I use to demonstrate to my students that you can zap clouds. I showed them that you just visualize them gone. In the case where there’s a lot of cloud cover, just zap a hole in them. They not only accomplished it, but went home and taught their parents.

Good Morning!

My mother loved Elenore Roosevelt! She would go on and on about her so I didn't have much trouble in school when the subject came up.

Robert Monroe...I tried his methods. There was one part that did work. The Hemi-Sync did not work for me for some unknown reason. I suspect it's because at the time I was "stuck in a room". In fact everything in my brain is compartmentalized into "rooms'. Sounds weird no? It is! Believe me I know I live with it.

There is 'stuff' in my memory I've yet to discover I know this. There is some information I believe is the reason I'm here in fact. It also somewhat scares me. So how do I retrieve it?

The vortex. The one thing I learned from the Gateway series from Robert Monroe. In the gateway series is one CD that tells you how to create a vortex bubble around your body to separate and do OBE. Well DAMN! That worked!

But I was still stuck in a room...so this meditation thing just never worked! In fact it still doesn't. Why? Because of all the damned rooms I have to go through. But this Robert Monroe method involves focus on a vortex to move out of body. In that guess what? I can review the rooms and see the content in said rooms. In fact I have some drawing somewhere I did of some very interesting technology in one of the rooms.

In February of 2014 I started to do some serious session work with this vortex and my guides of which I have four. They are Artemis, Bartholomew, Mortimer, and Eros.

Artemis takes me to a room/tomb of my own. Where indeed the theme is Egyptian.

here it is:


I greet Artemis and the boys in my usual manner. Send them my love and I ask Artemis this session, "Where we going today"? He gets a sparkle in his eye and says hold on.

Then I'm shown a huge Eye of Ra/Horus and I start to move into the center of the pupil....like a wormhole...I'm transported to the room with me and all my stuff.

I tell Artemis the last session did nothing. He says not so fast...and I look toward a wall with shelves carved in the stone. I instinctively reach for a scroll there.

On it is written (and I completely understand it due to the meld I figured didn't work):

Where I immediately connect the Ennead: In Greek means collection of nine things

The Egyptian Ennead are Nine Deities.

Then I get stuck on number 6 and all kinds of information floods in.

Primarily that of "time" and past/present/future of such. Then I put together the computer reference of a program. A simulation of life as it exists from the future...reaching back to the past leaving clues.

Is that possible?

Unfolding this perception of mine and mine alone I've stumbled upon some interesting dots to connect.

Artemis ~ Master I

My primary guide I've written about and time stamped upon this journey of discovery is indeed a real conscious being. But what kind is he? Well he's part of me but individual indeed. We bump heads often when I question everything he brings me which in the end turn out to be more than relevant and validated as real as it gets in hindsight.

So let me share my experience of Artemis and the boys. Remember there are three others; Eros, Mortimer, Bartholomew. Each having their own distinct function of a guide to me personally. Thank god I time stamped these writings. Something told me even if I got it wrong to do so. Eventually there would come a purpose for the "observation" of data and writing about it to refer back to. In this case it turns out to be very relevant.

Time stamped Feb 13, 2012 in the writing but I discovered these guys in 2010. Decided to write about them and share my findings thus:

When I first sought to find what it was that festering in my current state of being and seek to find some answers several years ago I got TRIGGERED by a word. That word was PTAH. That being said I had some assistance to peel that first layer of the onion. In doing so the very next day I went into a very intense period of physical memory recall. This was the time when the black lines on my hands started. It was primarily benevolent memory in the form of block pixel.

After that I went through a series of memory recall with two people until such time as I was able to do it myself. In fact there were four assigned to me to "take over" four names to take into account. One was the head very adept and talented in many ways assigned to me for assisting in this recall. His name is Artemis. Then there is a "scribe" named Bartholomew. A financial assistant named Mortimer, and a very adept and stealth thief and gatherer of information for my needs....Eros. My own personal spy. These were the names assigned to me to 'take over'...from there....

Then through discovery I start seeing logic gates and things start getting REALLY confusing. Until I discovered the possibility of my guides being named after computer programs of a very SIRIUS nature.

So in these past writings I'm seriously questioning what the nature of this really means.

Oct 21, 2012 I write:

In the beginning as I had mentioned before I actually did have some help because I really didn't know much and trying to even meditate was difficult as I was stuck in a damned room. The room I later discovered had some interesting technology....learning to see exactly what it was that triggered these visions and memories and most of all those black lines on my hands. A physical reaction to what? Some magic dust? Particles that spin? One of the first things I said the day the lines appeared was what I viewed. The phrase..."pay attention to the vortex".

This help I had was to get me to focus and ground. Raise my energy and frequency high enough to gain access to view exactly what this was that was triggered. But to what exactly? Well my first goal was to learn why I was gaining all this Egyptian memory. Ptah was the trigger word. Then next was the block pixel download of the strangest information. All of it was concerning DNA, mummification and preservation. Bloodline and genetic codes. Which was all recognized from what appeared to be an ancient past and somehow I was remembering this past and the people in it. These people were not Gods. They were simply people. The only difference was these people had extraordinary technology for such an ancient civilization. And with that they appeared and ruled as Gods in many ways to the surrounding people they ruled. They built Pyramids, and had extensive knowledge of the human body. Their scribes recorded what they felt was necessary for future reference. Keeping some things a hidden mystery. Hidden mysteries that even today have not been revealed to the general public.

However if you were in the circle of trust and part of the privileged cult that held these secrets you would have great access to what ever these secrets held.

One such cult was the Cult of Osiris. They held great weight and power over ancient Egypt for which Egyptian folklore has spoken about on the temple walls with direct reference to such things as sacred geometry and human anatomy. Isis writing the Book of the Dead for those traveling to the underworld to travel in the style of the rich and famous eh? The purpose of mummification to travel well. Mummification is the preservation of DNA with Amber Resin the best preservative known! To make that journey only fit for a king or queen. Laid in a sarcophagus with remnants of blue lily to show you the way on that journey.

From what I have viewed these Gods were not gods...they would however make the greatest daytime soap operas. Fantasy love affairs which included the ever popular soap opera theme of "who's the father?!?" at every turn. Least we not forget the magic dust/sand Isis made a penis for the dead corpse of Osiris to birth the son Horus. Whoa!!!!!!!! Who is jerking who's chain here? Who in their right mind is going to believe a story like that eh? Certainly not me. Certainly not after what I viewed in this recall of Past Egyptian folklore.

So what exactly was this magic dust?

Chapter 1. Introduction to Artemis
What is Artemis?
Artemis is a DNA sequence viewer and annotation tool that allows visualization of sequence features and
the results of analyses within the context of the sequence, and its six-frame translation. Artemis is written
in Java, reads EMBL or GENBANK format sequences and feature tables, and can work on sequences of
any size.

The "Entry"
An "entry" in Artemis-speak is not necessarily a complete EMBL or GENBANK entry. In most places in
this manual when we refer to an entry we mean a file that contains just the feature table lines (the FT
lines) of an EMBL/GENBANK entry (see the section called "Tab" Files or "Table" Files). After loading a
sequence and opening an entry edit window (see the section called Open ... in Chapter 2) it is then
possible to overlay many feature tables (see the section called Read An Entry ... in Chapter 3). Each of
these feature table files is called an entry by Artemis and it's features are kept separate from those of other
entries.
This meaning of the word "entry" is used by most of the items in the File menu (see the section called
The File Menu in Chapter 3) and by the items in the Entry menu (see the section called The Entries Menu
in Chapter 3).


EMBL/Genbank Features
A "feature" in an EMBL or Genbank file is a region of DNA that has been annotated with a key/type (see
the section called EMBL/Genbank Feature Keys) and zero or more qualifiers (see the section called
EMBL/Genbank Feature Qualifiers). In an EMBL or Genbank formated file the features of a piece of
DNA are listed in the feature table section (see the section called "Tab" Files or "Table" Files).

Feature Statistics
The overview window also shows the following statistics about the features in the active entries (if there
are any features). Note that the "genes" are the non-pseudo CDS features.
• Number of features in the active entries (see the section called The Active Entries in Chapter 1).
• Gene density - the average number of non-pseudo CDS features per 1000 bases.
• Average gene length - the average length of non-pseudo CDS features (not including introns). • Number of non-spliced genes.
• Number of spliced genes.
• Number of pseudo genes (ie. CDS features with a /pseudo qualifier).
• Protein coding (CDS) features.
• Protein coding (CDS) bases.
• Protein coding percentage - ie. the number of coding bases excluding introns.
• Coding percentage (including introns).
• A summary of the number of features of each key (type) and their colours.

Event-Related Oscillations: A Measure of Cognitive Functions

Until recently, ERPs were the basic electrophysiological indices of cognition that provided valuable insights into human brain processes. Substantial literature now indicates that some ERP features may arise from changes in the dynamics of ongoing EEG rhythms/oscillations of different frequency bands that reflect ongoing sensory and/or cognitive processes (Basar 1999; Basar et al. 1999; Buzsaki 2006). In other words, the EEG oscillations that are measured in a resting state become organized, amplified, and/or coupled during mental activity, or the network activity induced by an event or stimulus may trigger specific oscillatory responses, thus giving rise to an “evoked” (strongly locked to the stimulus/event) or “induced” (weakly associated with to the stimulus/event) rhythmicity (Basar 1980; Basar 1999; Makeig et al. 2002). These EROs can influence the timing of neural activity and coordinate synchronous activity in groups of active neurons (Fries 2005). Thus, EROs represent a basic mechanism of neural communication, providing links to associative and integrative brain functions. Highfrequency (i.e., β, γ) EROs are implicated in short range communication, whereas low frequencies (i.e., δ, θ, and α) EROs are involved in longer-range communication between brain areas (von Stein and Sarnthein 2000).

commonly used technique in human EEG research involves a continuous
wavelet transformation, with Morlet wavelets appropriately scaled within the
frequency range to be explored (Tallon-Baudry, Bertrand, Delpuech, &
Pernier, 1996). The result of this transformation is a time-varying function of
amplitude power along the frequencies of interest. When these time–frequency
functions are interpreted in relation to cognitively important events whose
timing can be determined accurately (e.g., stimulus onset, eye-movements),
they are called event-related oscillations (EROs).

Global Change Master Directory

he Global Change Master Directory is a directory of Earth Science data sets and related tools/services, many of which are targeted for the use, analysis, and display of the data. The directory holds more than 23,000 data set descriptions, known as DIFs (Directory Interchange Format). This format is compatible with the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) standard and the international ISO 19115 standard. More than 2,300 descriptions of tools and services, known as SERFs (Services Entry Resource Format), are also available to users. The purpose of the directory is to provide users with information on the availability of data and services that will meet their needs, along with efficient access to those data and services. Links are provided, when available, to connect directly to the data or services of interest.
The directory is part of NASA's Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) and also serves as NASA's contribution to the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS), through which it is also known as the International Directory Network (IDN) the international participants contribute descriptions of data and services that are held around the world and have provided valuable guidance in the development and direction of the project over the years.
The directory also offers an online metadata authoring tools for those wishing to share knowledge of available data. One of the cornerstones to effective searches within the directory is twelve sets of controlled keywords that assist in normalizing the search. The development of these keywords was initiated over a decade ago. Currently, over 7,000 keywords are controlled, with new sets created for better search refinements, as time permits. The keyword sets are widely used throughout the world and are being translated into many languages. Within the GCMD and the IDN, these controlled keywords can be used in combination with a full-text search engine and also for search refinements.
In addition, virtual subsets of the directory can be created as "portal" for groups wishing to identify their contributions or for those wishing to select a subset for their special interest group. The directory currently receives approximately 5 million hits per month.

Mortimer is a kind of quite fellow as well. As guides go his function as my "guide" was "financial accountant".

Now this threw me for awhile. I just could not see where money/finance had a place in inter-dimensional guides. Made absolutely no sense to me. Now I thought for a time perhaps this guide would help me with my money and guide me to have abundance. For in fact I was making a pretty good income as a Finance Director. But what in heavens name did that have to do with any of this stuff? What was it that had "value" in a financial sense.

So I looked at the wealthiest and realized most of the truly wealthy retainded one thing they "prized" of value. Money was certainly a way of getting places in a material world. But what was of MORE importance to these "elite" types....you know...the ones who ruled Egypt...the ones who are said to rule kingdoms and basically the world? Seems to me "bloodline" took presidency in monarchies and henceforth were handed down from one member of that line to another eh? Apparently money was the "result" of the thing that had REAL value.... and that was a genetic line. Just as the Merovingian's about bloodline. Or the Queen of England. Ask the elusive "33" what they value and try to get an answer why bloodline/genetics seem so important?

I know this is a long discussion at the fireside but I tell you this because in about a month I'm going to work at discovering what exactly is locked up in my brain in these rooms that a computer program wishes me to discover. I have to prepare energetically because it requires energy use for me to do this and keep the field and I figure if I'm going to do this for this reason It's going to be quite a ride!

Is it any wonder why I cannot do a real meditation with all this information floating around in my brain? Truth is I have no real idea why it's there. But a trail of clues has led me to believe it's been going on for quite sometime. Why? I just don't know but I'm going to do a concerted effort in a month from now to actually find out hoping I don't fry my circuits!

I have come across lines of computer code when my consciousness has flown through what I term “the black ethers”. Mostly I see “lines of force” (this is my term for energy lines that flow through the black ethers) that curve gently and are of differing colours and intensities– but when I see lines of computer code snaking through the “black ethers”, they are always a glowing greenish colour. Once I visited an entire world that was based on computer code, and when I returned to my present personality, I contemplated how “unsettling” this visit had been for me. This was long before I’d heard of AI on this forum. I had reached out far, far with fingers of my consciousness and had visited this world. I shook my personality's head in mild amazement that such places exist.

I offer to her the idea of the “RA-TA Project” which Edgar Cayce wrote about, and later, Cosmic Awareness spoke of. This was a project conceived perhaps 10,000 years ago (I do apologize for not having facts clearly in mind – but it was long ago). It was foreseen that there would be a period of great darkness on earth, and volunteers came together to offer themselves for mummification, in order that part of their consciousness (a high frequency) would be released in waves in this world of ours and help the transition out of the darkness into higher frequencies. Consciousness is linked to the DNA. A thought arose, Shadowself, that perhaps you are linked to this Ra-Ta Project.

I add this aside about DNA. Once I was having a discussion with companions in some higher vibrational plane, and the topic came up of “What are LIGHT CODES.” As we were discussing this, there ZOOMED down a huge being of light joined us, and who instructed us (because we’d asked). We were told that light codes are used for direct communication with god. DNA is made of, is a carrier of, a holder of, light. So far as I can tell. Long ago the phrase came that DNA is “frozen light”.

This sentence which I clearly remember being said to us (...light codes are used for direct communication with god...) touches on the DNA genetic manipulation that occurred in the Garden of Eden. It was subversive, and was done without the "bosses" knowing it was being done, so that mankind would have embedded in his DNA the codes that would "awake" one day and enable mankind to be fully children of god and not subservient slaves.

Thanks for your lengthy post. You leave me wondering about the HOW, the mechanics, of this projected session, this “concerted effort”, you plan to have in a month. Can you say more about it?

I don't know what this “RA-TA Project” is. It's quite unfamiliar to me. Have I mentioned that I recognize and sometimes speak an ancient language that stems from an older version of the language?

Well RA-TA is a bit strange to me. Because when one thinks of RA as the sun god that comes from the new kingdom of Ramses and that era. Before that is was "Re". Changes to Ra later on with changes in language as well. "Ta" means old kingdom measure.

So Ra-Ta means literally: "[new kingdom] Sun god old kingdom measure. Strange in and of itself in one sentence as a project.

So in essence Ra-Ta Project means: Sun god old kingdom measure project. Curious indeed!

Don't know anything about that but I have a pretty good picture of something along the lines of mummification that would suggest a later awakening with preserved DNA. Which is quite interesting but too long to mention here. I know I didn't just "happen" upon this information and it's very suggestive of just that.

Well in my case one size does not fit all. I can't and don't follow anything of a "method" of mechanics. I just do it. Easy peasy. What works for me will not necessarily work for others because we all have our own unique imprint and matrix design. The concerted effort is the amount of energy it takes me not to "get there" but to "get back". What seems to me to be a matter of a few minutes can be as long as an hour and a half or more according to the clock when I come out of it. I've even gotten scents from some of these rooms...once it was Amber another time Lilys....when I do I usually have to sort through what I just saw/smelled and such which can often include another language. I think I shared this earlier on but will share this once again. One time I was reviewing a code in a tomb/room. Now what I found there was quite interesting in itself. But had nothing to do with what I said during that session which was this:

Har te teht tat saiu maau

Har - means District in Syria

te - means Injustice

teht - leads war

tat- means Other world

Saiu - means guardian, watchman (eye of Ra)

Maau - means district

Meaning:

The injustice in the district of Syria that may lead to wars in other worlds is viewed by the guardian Ra in this district (Egypt). ...by the action of this meeting.

Other worlds?

I actually said that in late 2010, but didn't get it deciphered until late 2011 and shared it in 2012 when I wrote about it due to the current events in Syria and felt there was a ritualistic connection. Little did I know what the "peripheral" view of this tomb at the time meant.

At that time I was "viewing" this tomb the tomb was done during the 18 Dynasty and as such this tomb carried with it that imprint that I found most disgusting. Because when I saw the tomb I uttered those words just like that.

That tomb was done during the reign of Hatshepsut:

The records of Hatshepsut's reign claim that she led military campaigns against several foreign lands including Nubia and Syria.

In fact during that dynasty and Thutmose III:

Conquest of Syria...The fifth, sixth, and seventh campaigns of Thutmose III were directed against the Phoenician cities in Syria and against Kadesh on the Orontes. In Thutmose's twenty-ninth year, he began his fifth campaign where he first took an unknown city (the name falls in a lacuna) which had been garrisoned by Tunip. Now it starting to make a whole lot of sense as to why I picked up Syria with indignation in my voice when I said that.

As to mummification when I first ran into this subject here is what I thought and for the most part viewed and gathered in the sessions I did then. Pay attention to the DNA part. I'm now not so certain about the "Genesis" part of the video or the Israel content I added. Remember I just posted about that perception thing but this is what I saw back then. And the part two....well I've got that all written down in a big way. But here's an interesting thing. I just now had to change the music on the video because two complaints were made about the music being copywrite infringements. Which I found quite interesting because in the video comments I showed where I got that music straight from Youtube from one of their own recommended Royalty free Music sights. So I made it private and thought no more about it until today. I just added again one of their own music recommendations to make it public and we'll just have to see if they complain again eh? Perhaps I struck a nerve somewhere in this video?

A year or so ago I was walking within a body in ancient Egypt, in a procession. I was following a broad-shoulder wolf-face being - a "god" if you will. This procession passed through a rectangular open stone doorway in a temple.

I recall being mildly suprised in my personality self that the tips of the ears of this dog-being were blunted and not pointy. This image of "Set" is not quite right. I had one that was closer to the being I was following, but cannot find it in my computer.

My Monroe Institute Experience

An opportunity to have a week long "Gateway Program" presented itself soon after we moved to Nelson County, not far from the Monroe Institute. Bob Monroe's secretary, Helen, was a good friend and would occasionally offer a discount to local people whenever an opening became available due to a last minute cancellation. Bob would sometimes mildly object to the discount but Helen persevered.

Much may have changed since 1993, but this is about my week there. Bob was still in this reality then. There was only one building used for the check units then. Now, programs are also conducted in Bob Monroe's home. A separate building was used for lectures. Bob and others would give presentations during the week.

The food was great.

The check units, where one slept and experienced the Hemi-Sync sessions, were either 1 or 2 people per room. Approximately 25 people could be accommodated in a week long session.

The check units, enclosed beds, were wired for audio (Hemi-Sync), and had curtains to help block light and distractions. A nice private and comfortable space. The bathroom(s) were shared with other rooms.

At the beginning of the week, watches were collected to help remove distractions. The intent was not to be concered about time.

The Hemi-Sync sessions were associated with various focus levels (not sure how to define a focus level) and Bob Monroe's voice guiding the experience. Hemi-Sync CD's designed to take one to specific focus levels are for sale.

After each Hemi-Sync session, the participants gathered together with the trainer to discuss personal experience.

My peak experience was flying through stars arranged in the shape of an eagles head. Passing through, I felt much love. And I knew I had the freedom to choose anything for my next adventure.

Other than my own experience, I remember one person who was gifted the Gateway Program by some friends. He had little interest in being there, but he decided not to disappoint his friends. He was consistently bored with the experience in the early sessions. During the Hemi-Sync sessions he would intentionally imagine himself on a golf driving range, sending golf balls out into the darkness, the result of being bored. Then there was a complete change during the debriefing session. With much excitement he said "Someone hit the ball back." We all thought that was funny.

Everyone's experience seems to be unique. My wife Maud (now-ex) and my sister Lynda also have participated in programs.

Maud experienced a past life experience in a Nazi concentration camp and an out of body visitor (a fellow participant) to her check unit. The visit was confirmed by the other person. Both remembered. Maud also had an out of body experience. She found herself standing on her head, got scared and popped back in.

Lynda was able to see the energy field around plant life, the trees and grass, in full color. That ability stayed with her for years after the program.

It used to be a requirement that one must go through the Gateway Program before one could participate in more specialized programs. I understand that requirement has been relaxed for some special programs.

The "Lab" is where the various focus levels were designed for the programs. An option, offered at extra expense, was to spend time in the Lab, wired up to sensors, for a custom designed experience. I did not do this.

Years later, after my experience, I heard stores from the Monroe Institute staff that Major General Albert Stubblebine was a popular participant and brought some of his staff with him. {update follows} There were several sessions when all space was reserved by the government. Background checks, normal for others, were not allowed for these participants. During one of these sessions, one participant freaked out and needed hospitalization. That was the end of the government only sessions.

I would consider going again if conditions were right.

Here in rural Nelson County, with only one stoplight, seems to be an unlikely location for those with metaphysical interests. Many people who have participated in the Monroe Institute programs purchased land (called the "New Land") from Bob to build their houses near the Institute. Dr. Stephen Greer (no association with Monroe) lives a few miles away.

Another TMIer (The Monroe Institute) here. I love participating in Gateway. That was back in 1989 when I lived in Virginia.

Your experience was more extensive than mine. Through my Reiki teacher I participated in “Hemi-Sync" i.e., “Hemispheric Synchronization” from the Monroe Institute in 1989. It was over two weekends. I explain it as a technique that synchronizes the brain hemispheres to evoke relaxation, learning and to reach altered states of consciousness through the use of sound.

Before that in 1972, I did “Silva Mind Control” which is now called “Silva Method”. It’s alpha and theta exercises, visualizations, positive programming methods, creativity-boosting exercises, dynamic problem solving techniques, and what I now know to be called remote viewing.

"The Silva Method" is really just like when you catch yourself in the daydream-like stare, you’re open to free flow imagination or hone into a specific goal like, "Where are my keys?". The answer bubbles up or a visual pops in your head or gut knowing. I'd wager most already use the techniques already.

"The Silva Method" is really about our innate ability and not ‘special powers’.

I’d suggest save your money. There’s lots of information, courses and YouTube vids, or purchase the book, “The Silva Mind Control Method” or “The Silva Method: Home Study Course” CD, too.

A couple of other techniques/mental gymnastics I'd play.

Example One:

I use to have three Christmas balls that looked like bubbles hanging from my ceiling by thread at different lengths over my bed. It gave the illusion that they were floating.

A friend randomly picked the ball for me to move. I’d make only the one he chose. He’d upped the challenge and had me swing left to right, back and forth, or circle. I did, while the other two were stationary. Then for the finale, he included the other two.

I demonstrated the power of the mind and belief to him. I just visualized. See them moving. I had him try it. He didn’t believe he was doing it without my help. So I told him don’t tell me which ball you pick and just make it move. It worked. He still didn’t believe he did it. Which also demonstrated that the abilities are there even when one doesn’t believe.

If you try it, you may feel a sensation in the heart, stomach or belly button region.

Example #2 (common place now):

Yes, Tai Chi taught me the importance of ground/root to Mother Earth rather than head in the clouds. The energy moves through out the systems which includes the part that's not the physical, the within and without, the body-whole.

A friend of mine is a huge Silva fan and enrolled me in a course in it (back in 2007). He claims Silva Method is how he became a billionaire.

Recently I thought about the different techniques we were taught mostly because of my current thinking on unintentionally opening to non-beneficial energies and unspoken contracts. For instance, I wouldn’t use the helmet technique. At least not while the astral are actively engaging us.

For those unfamiliar with the technique it’s a method to detect trouble spots. We partnered up and one person provided the person’s name and state they lived in. The name on the card said “Joshua,” (forgot the state). Before his name was spoken, I began to have trouble sitting up. I felt dizzy and like I was choking. My tongue got in the way when I tried to talk.

Then, I applied the helmet technique. This is where I put an energetic helmet of Joshua over my head. A visual popped up. He was a little boy about 4 who was mentally challenged, with poor balance. I picked up that there were things he wanted to say but it was frustrating to him that he couldn’t express. I had a sense that there were great ideas locked up. Afterward, I learned Joshua was either 4-5 years old (forgot exact age) and mentally challenged.

One early confirmation of the benefits of the course was for my son who was about 10 months old. He was born with a growth near the corner of his eye. So I used the technique which was simply to ‘see it not there’. I forgot about it until a couple of days later. It was gone.

The more we streamline technique and belief, the quicker the Q&A's become one in the same.
