Seems like a fairly lengthy pitch to read the bible more, putting yourself into the shoes of the characters of the stories you read, so to speak.. In a nutshell.

Putting Judaeo and Christian values aside for one moment, as other far greater minds than mine have successfully argued, we can do this experiment with subjectivity with any large tome, from Harry Potter all the way back to war and peace, or further still to Malory's Arthur and beyond...

So what's the question exactly? Have we noticed feeling like the bible was written and directed solely for us? Not me, personally, what do you think about things? What's YOUR take on this website? Do you think the bible was written solely for you?...x... N

    .
Well, if the Holy Bible is really about me, someone please tell me how the Biblical references cited in #s 1-10 below all fit with my values. (Or anyone else's reading this, for that matter!)

The context is this. On her radio show, 'Dr. Laura' [Schlesinger] a little while ago said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstances.

Now, enjoy the following open letter — written by an American teacher:

    Dear Dr. Laura:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.

    1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

    2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

    3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

    4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

    5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

    6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?

    7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

    8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

    9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

    10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

French Canadians are used to be owned and be treated like slaves, for générations back. Does it make the cut to obey the bible? After all, they are not reaaally Canadians aren't they?

The council of Nicea in 325 AD decided what books to include and which ones to leave out ... Enter the king of England giving his seal of approval and there is your authorized version... The writings of the prophets were corrupted by men to control other men ... There is universal truths contained in the scriptures, yet much of history has been changed to fit an agenda... The book of Enoch should have been included... They say he walked with god and then god took him, that's all they want known about him...the Quran is the same , corrupted by men to control other men ...

you can read the bible many times and never understand any of it.

but then one day, you hear someone who does understand it, they are excited, sharing with everyone they can...

through their eyes, you see why it is so important to so many...

give this guy a few minutes and tell me you aren't smiling...

I thought that noone really knows what the bible "Really" had to say...

Since the versions that we read are ones that have been manipulated / re-written to suit the modern church. The original scripts are locked away in the Vatican along with a lot more material in relation to all of that. Never to be revealed to the public. I wonder why?

The Bible is not about YOU!

The Bible is an aborration of the history of planet Earth.

The Bible Code is the following:
    The Old Testament
The Old Testament is a description of the events that occurred at the collapse of Saturn, our red Sun. This formed the continents as we know them now. Most life on Earth was destroyed but regenerated again into smaller forms. changing all DNA in the process. People were Giants before and now the sizes began to diminish. Planet Earth went on from this point into its "golden age".
The Hebrews who stole the artifacts from the Egyptian pyramids were unable to read the glyphs on the scrolls perpretrated the birth of their own "uniqueness" and used this knowledge to succour "interest" by divination of ascribing the master-slave paradigm of ownership. Effectively, describing and justifying the "false" birth of Judaism.

    The New Testament
The New Testament describes the the arrival of the Moon and the impact that event had had on mankind. This was an equally extination level event as occurred by the tribulation of Saturns demise.
The star of Bethlehem, the arrival of the Moon, was the story of the rebirth of mankind, even smaller in size now than even the seperation of Earth from Saturn had been to mankinds physiology. The star of Bethlehem, the Moon brought three "kings" each bringing gifts of gold, frankinsense anr myrrh. These were the the equivalent two thousand years ago to, "sex drugs and rock and roll" and "gold, oil, and drugs". All valuable commodities considered luxury items back then. Gold was abundant by the energy emmissions between the two celestial bodies proximity and the frankinsense and myrrh were the by product of the collapse of the wilting plants that exuded the commodities as they died.
The "Jesus" guy is a fiction, yet based on the mankinds newly benevolent character of peace and tranquility was prescribed as some sort of god. It was easy for people to relate to their natural character traits yet made them defenceless against those supporting the Old testament who to "cover their theft and lies" would steer them away from truth at every opportunity and when that didn't work, kill them instead.

The Bible is NOT ABOUT YOU the person. It is about the transition of mans journey from Saturn, collecting the Moon and settling to our current state of mankind.

This is what I believe to be true. I am no mans slave.

As far as my trying to understand "religion" and who "GOD" might be and "HIS" plan, Mauro Biglino appeals to my hard-headed rational thinking side. Since his initial exposure when he published his first book, he has since written several others:

Quote Mauro Biglino translated 23 books of the Bible for the Vatican. He had to translate the Leningrad Codex (the version of the Bible which all three major monotheistic religions - Cristian, Jewish and Muslim - recognize as the official Bible) from the Hebrew, word by word, literally and with no interpretation whatsoever. That is to say, he's not a wannabe kabbalist, conspirationist or ufologist, since the official publishing organism of the Vatican approved and released those books, at least 17 of them. While working on the Bible, he realized that many of the stories this book tells where mistranslated, misinterpreted, mostly on purpose, in order to insert the notion of a spiritual, all-mighty and unerring God. The picture he gives us of the bestseller of all times is surprisingly different from what we all were told. Actually, as soon as he released "THE BOOK THAT WILL FOREVER CHANGE OUR IDEAS ABOUT THE BIBLE - THE GODS COMING FROM SPACE", the Vatican suspended all further publications of Mauro Biglino's works: Let's discover why!

"THE BOOK THAT WILL FOREVER CHANGE OUR IDEAS ABOUT THE BIBLE - THE GODS COMING FROM SPACE"
    http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00GX5OHYQ/re...

    The Author
Mauro Biglino is an Italian scholar of history of religions, he published in Italy five books, two of which are focused on the research and re-translation work of the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament of the Bible in a literal way, word by word, from the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. The Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia is the first printed edition of the Masoretic text, derived from the Leningrad Codex of 1008 AD, which is the original text of reference of the Bible for the Roman Catholic Church, for the Bible of the Christian Protestant Churches - the King James Version - and for the Torah of the Jewish religion. Mr. Biglino's books focused on the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament are entitled "Il Libro che cambierà per sempre le nostre idee sulla Bibbia" and "Il Dio Alieno della Bibbia". Prior to writing these two books, Mauro Biglino had worked for ten years for the main publishing house of the Vatican, Edizioni San Paolo*, as a translator of ancient Hebrew from the original Masoretic text of the Bible. Mr. Biglino translated for the Vatican publisher 19 books of the Bible from the ancient Hebrew text of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. 12 books were published by Edizioni San Paolo in the book "I Profeti Minori", 5 books were published in the book "Cinque Meghillot".
In relation to his work on the Bible, Mr. Biglino has been interviewed on the Italian National Television and on several radio networks. He is a keynote speaker at conferences and seminars throughout Italy. *Note In writing that "Edizioni San Paolo" is the main publishing house of the Vatican, we do not mean that "Edizioni San Paolo" is financially owned by the Vatican. We mean that "Edizioni San Paolo" is the main Christian Catholic publishing house in Italy, it is the main publisher of books written by Catholic Cardinals and Bishops, and the main publisher of religious and Theological books for the Catholic community in Italy.

Well, if the Holy Bible is really about me, someone please tell me how the Biblical references cited in #s 1-10 below all fit with my values. (Or anyone else's reading this, for that matter!)
I used to be in this mindset, too, back in the day when I was more in the Scientism camp. But then I learned that the stories of Jesus in the Bible are not to be taken literally...at all. The whole reason we are in such a mess on this planet is because people take stories from the Bible literally, when they were meant to be taken metaphorically. The journey of Jesus is both an astrological and alchemical one. Deeply disguised in allegorical messages, the Bible is a framework for how to navigate one's inner darkness using the Zodiac as a compass. In fact, the Gospels are entirely about just this...with each story of Jesus correlating with each sign of the Zodiac.

Even "walking on water" is supposed to hold a much deeper, esoteric meaning. Christians take the Bible literally, which is not only incorrect, but extremely harmful. Those of us in the Alternative Community need to look at the Bible from a different lens. There are elements of slavery in the book as well, one could be sure are planted there to deceive people and make understanding this alchemical journey an arduous one. But these nasty elements should not supercede the overall message, which is that the story of Jesus is indeed what every human being needs to go through to reach a higher state of consciousness.

    Your adoring fan,

    James M. Kauffman,

P.S. (It would be a damn shame if we couldn't own a Canadian.)
French Canadians are used to be owned and be treated like slaves, for générations back. Does it make the cut to obey the bible? After all, they are not reaaally Canadians aren't they?
    Hey, aren't we French Frogs?

More seriously: an early scholar called Marcon concluded that if one honestly studied the entire Bible — the Old and New Testaments together — one could see clearly that there were TWO DIFFERENT 'GODS' described: one a loving God, the one that Jesus knew and discussed — and the other a cruel, badass 'God' who was very likely not the real one at all.

This heresy got him excommunicated from the early Roman Church. But he had a most excellent point.

The early Gnostics, of course, said pretty much exactly the same thing, pointing to the extremely unpleasant 'God' of much of the Old Testament as being the 'Demiurge'... an evil, Archontic impostor.

It's virtually impossible to read the books of Leviticus and Numbers and not come to the same conclusion. Then, when you read the rest of the old testament within the same context, we see in Genesis the discussion of the first creation of chimeric hybrids by these imposters, as well as the second chimeric hybrids. The story of the fall and the expulsion from the garden are all metaphors written by these alien imposters, and the whole context of "damaged goods" and "savior memes" are all designed to keep us from our power and to dumb us down.

The divine right to rule was declared by these aliens and is only held in place in the matrix of all manifestation because we have acquiesced to this cursive trust, and have not rebuked its curse. If we really understood energetics and how it works, how astrology and numerology are the oldest sciences of reality and manifestation, we could shift consciousness. Manifestation is held in the matrix because of our beliefs.

Why do you think they still spend so much time and energy keeping us in fear? Because fear and love cannot occupy the same space and love is more powerful than anything else in the universe, but we don't understand it or know what it really is. Fear keeps the energetic curses in place while love dissolves them. Fear rituals, which they use on key astrological nodes (like the Paris attack), hold the curses in place.

We stop buying it and we counter it with love and see what happens.

What we may be actually witnessing in the world today is the beginning of the great battle between good and evil as mentioned in the bible.....we will most likely annihilate and kill each other off and become extinct, thus evil will be eliminated and everything will be back as it should be, everything will be "good" again.....

It was as though Jesus came to correct the thinking/teaching of the Old Testament.
The late Dr David Hawkins did a muscle test (Kinesology) on the bible Here is what Hawkins says about the Bible:

    Quote:

The Old Testament calibrates at only 190. However, Genesis is at 660, Psalms is 650, Proverbs is 350. If these are excluded then the remaining Old Testament calibrates at only 125. The New Testament calibrates at 640. However if Revelations were removed (calibrates at only 70) then the New Testament would calibrate at 790.

The current bible calibrates at 475 as a whole. To make it authentically “Holy” as the title implies, it would have to exclude all of the books of the Old Testament (except Genesis, Psalms and Proverbs) and Revelations. If that were done, then the bible would be truly “Holy” and calibrate at over 740. Importantly, the Lamsa version of the bible (Translated from Aramaic, Jesus’ language) is more accurate than the King James Version (translated from Greek). It calibrates 20 points higher. If the Lamsa bible excluded the old testament (except Genesis, Psalms, Proverbs) and revelations it would calibrate at 810. If Revelations were removed from the Lamsa version of the New Testament, it would calibrate at a whopping 880.

Society calibrates at 204 I think he said, with great minds on earth calibrating around 499-510 ranges.
