I live in a permaculture village Ulli.

Even though the village is still relatively new and people are still building here, plant life here is starting to look amazing!

We are building a community house and we also have a community garden right in the middle of the village for the kids.

They are constantly raiding the strawberry patch which is just delightful

Strawberries have to be grown overhead then, where the kids can't reach.

I was once one of those naughty kids myself. Nothing better than a strawberry field raid.
I would love the overhead grown ones even better as they don't need to have the earth washed off. I'd probably be dragging chairs in there now, if I was too short to reach them.

The strawberry patch IS for the kids to raid but now that you mention it, maybe it shouldn't be?

Oh Ulli, I could see you dragging a chair from inside the house to the outside and then wobbling on the chair as you try to balance and your tiny hands are just out of reach...I would have been just the same...
However, just like when I used to climb the pantry cupboards to get to the forbidden biscuits, I always got caught. On my way to the bedroom my mother would always say to me "Here, let me just tuck you in". Biscuits stuffed underneath the jumper you see

This afternoon I happened to think about how living organisms, such as all humans together (but also more micro, or macro if you like) compose a higher branch. (I know I already said this last year on the H&N but it comes back every now and then) If every human were a macro cell (in itself a collection of cells) what higher organism do we constitute together? And how many more of such branches to go, to zoom out of planet Earth? And if it means that our planet is as living and intellectual an organism as we are; in what manner. And how do planets and other astronomical matter relate to compose even higher branches? Do they also communicate with each other? And if it ends, and where it ends, and so on...I stop when I get a headache.

But in the light of these thoughts, thank you for this beautiful thread, Ulli.

    Thanks, Violet.
All of us are pretty varied, and who knows what I am in truth?

Could be just a cell in the toenail of some larger being.
I do know that here in this forum are some who are definitely cells in the eye nerve of someone greater.
Or brain cells, or even heart cells.

headaches are reached yes. When we think about the micro and the machro. Your post just happens to stir the mind very deeply. We as cells on these bigger cells on the bigger cells and to infinity within this universe are all the same as I might think. If we think about the smallest form of life, A quark or even smaller and continue up the size it is infinity that brings us to no end. Worlds/planets or what have you are just the same. Our finite minds and if you really go into it we have infinite minds/thoughts. It is for us to understand and learn the reality to move forward into infinity. The one place or movie that brought this into thinking to me was the Men In Black Movies. Yet here we are in our finite minds which are really infinite so we think ourselves to live and die in a very short time period and even that is just an illusion. Most folks I know believe in re-incarnation and I tend to believe that also simply because we cannot surpass this finite existence, so we continue to live short and gummed up life spans. Do worlds do the same thing? Do solar systems do the same thing, Do Galaxy's do the same thing only on bigger scales. Do you think do we think? our minds our infinite but we build walls and fences to keep ourselves from going beyond.

Our love and I say love because that is the base or common denominator that moves all of us into the infinitive. The word that we know that we have created within our finite minds maybe not knowing that it is real and only thing that is real in the entire universe to create a oneness. I am just a rambler but these things inundate my dreams during the night and during the day. I am no different or do not know anymore than anyone but I do feel and my mind does expand.

All I can say is that I love you.

Water bears, known to scientists as tardigrades, are famously adorable microscopic creatures who can survive anything: freezing, total dehydration, radiation bombardment, and even the vacuum of deep space.
