I feel it is indeed about mind control. They have shown that they can control a mouse's brain using light. How is this not mind control? (I am asking in the uttmost respect...sometimes that does not come through in black and white text.)

Does mind control actually exist? Science has the answer with optogenetics.

Most inventions and techniques can be used in good and bad ways.
Humans have options, so we use them.

I've had to stop two great, fun inventions, because I realized they could also be used in very negative, harmful ways
No compensation for me but I do have the the far greater, knowledge that I didn't add to the negative side of humanity, there is my reward

So yes the OP's subject is used for negative MC, it's a given!
