As mentiond by Mr Dollard: Thomas Tallis

Quote Thomas Tallis (c. 1505 -- 23 November 1585) was an English composer. Tallis flourished as a church musician in 16th century Tudor England. He occupies a primary place in anthologies of English church music, and is considered among the best of England's early composers. He is honoured for his original voice in English musicianship

Thanks it was super interesting! 2 hours of that noise makes my brain spin, so I have to take it in, in small doses at a time. What a poor audio quality.

I can't listen to the first video as my pc keeps freezing up; but I can just mention anecdotally that the first time I heard the music of Varese I felt as if I had encountered real evil.. . . perhaps one gets used to or inured to certain frequencies with age. Now there is a lot of dissonant and aleatoric music that I enjoy in small doses.
