    Default Trump's Sickness?

    Is Donald Trump mentally ill?

Try matching his behaviour with any of these symptoms (taken from Wikipedia's entry on NPD and, later, Psychopathy)

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which a person is excessively preoccupied with personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity, mentally unable to see the destructive damage they are causing to themselves and often others. It is a cluster B personality disorder.

It is estimated that this condition affects one percent of the population, with rates greater for men. First formulated in 1968, NPD was historically called megalomania, and is a form of severe egocentrism.

DSM-IV-TR (The diagnostic manual for the American Psychiatric Association)

Symptoms of this disorder, as defined by the DSM-IV-TR, include:

    1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements).

    2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.

    3. Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).

    4. Requires excessive admiration.

    5. Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations.

    6. Is inter-personally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends.

    7. Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.

    8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.

    9. Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.

Other symptoms in addition to the ones defined by DSM-IV-TR include:

Is inter-personally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends,

    - has trouble keeping healthy relationships with others,

    - is easily hurt or rejected,

    - appears unemotional, and

    - exaggerates special achievements and talents, setting unrealistic goals for himself/herself.

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by an over-inflated sense of self-importance, as well as dramatic, emotional behavior that is in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.

In addition to these symptoms, the person may ...

    -display arrogance
    -show superiority, and
    -seek power.

The symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder can be similar to the traits of individuals with strong self-esteem and confidence; differentiation occurs when the underlying psychological structures of these traits are considered pathological.

Narcissists have such an elevated sense of self-worth that they value themselves as inherently better than others, when in reality they have a fragile self-esteem, cannot handle criticism, and often try to compensate for this inner fragility by belittling or disparaging others in an attempt to validate their own self-worth.

Comments and criticisms about others are vicious from sufferers of NPD, in an attempt to boost their own poor self-esteem.

Another narcissist symptom is a lack of empathy. They are unable to relate, understand, and rationalize the feelings of others. Instead of behaving in a way that shows how they are feeling in the moment, they behave in the way that they feel they are expected to behave or that gives them the most attention.
    [end DSM description]

In addition, on a more severe, psychopathic level, it seems pretty apparent that there is too much correlation with these traits to dismiss "The Donald" as merely a braggart and bully who is tapping into a part of the American psyche that wants "authenticity" in its leaders.

    From Wikipedia on Psychopathology:

"The manipulative skills of some psychopaths are valued for providing audacious leadership. It is argued psychopathy is adaptive in a highly competitive environment, because it gets results for both the individual and the corporations or, often small political sects they represent.

However, these individuals will often cause long-term harm, both to their co-workers and the organization as a whole, due to their manipulative, deceitful, abusive, and fraudulent behaviour."

So this all begs the question, Why is he so successful?

I shudder at the possible answers.

Yep, in spades. So? The sheeple will never elect a politician without an extreme personality disorder and they're all narcissists. But I'll take any of the garden variety narcissism over a pedophile, conscienceless murderer, zionist, cabal member or secret society member. Right now that leaves Trump.

in the country where I live since I have the right to vote, presidents have always been crooks... some other countries still have queens and kings so I think "americans" are definitely not the most unfortunate.

Narcissists do not respect other people's boundaries. It is fun to watch him bully the bullies, but he would sooner bully the people. It is my feeling Trump is exposing the bully in us. I finally understand why we go to war all the time. At some deep level, the people must support it because America is a bully.

These candidates are all so psychopathic and dreadful because we allow it. In Dr. Peck's book People of the Lie he points out how it is laziness that allows evil to flourish. We are lazy. As long as we do nothing ourselves it will continue. As Catherine Austin Fitts advises, start at the local level. If every local community is solid and united, we will have a power base of decency and liberty. Whine and complain and do nothing, then you get what you get.

According to the late Dr David Hawkins, a Psychiatrist of note, in his book "Power vs Force/the hidden determinates of human behaviour" the rulers/politicians/dictators reflect the level of the people/electorate.
Raise the collective consciousness of the people and the leadership will automatically reflect this.

Im afraid that Trump mainly reflects the base nature that is within us all.
However we can and do rise above our lower nature.

Fellow Aspirant, you've just described 90% of politicians and probably multinational corporation CEO's. But I've never heard any of them talk about the things that Trump is talking about, like ending the TPP, common core, obamacare, auditing the FED, talking openly about vaccines and 9/11 truth, a strong 2nd amendment, bringing manufacturing back to the country, halting illegal immigration, etc, etc. I won't be voting in this rigged election but I find it interesting how violent the opposition is to someone who has spoken more truth to power than any candidate in our history. I do recognize this is just the campaign and people lie during the campaign, just like every word out of Obama's mouth (sorry if you already called that out, too). He may be a psychopath but let's not single out one fish in an ocean of lunatics.

How could a deceiver (elected) be the reflection of the deceived (electorate)? I don't know about Dr. David Hawking but that saying alone reflects lack of understanding and could easily be taken as an insulting.

They get elected because they sell a story that people want to believe---they ignore the small print.

You would have to read the book to get the context of where Hawkins was coming from.
Its an energy thing according to him--like attracts like energetically.
He did have the largest Psychiatrist practice in America at one time--so he had a lot of experience of human nature.
Experts of course are inclined to disagree

I dont necessarily agree with all that he said---its just another point of view.

    Best wishes

So what that Trump is NPD? Most other politicians are also NPD, but it isn't as excessively obvious. Most of them have the cunning to conceal this fact. With Trump it is on full display in his strech limo gold plated cigar chomping whore pimping glory.

The fact that matters is that the overlords of this Earth, the ones that control the media and many networks of power have decided to put this vulgar, dismal icon of Narcissim on display. They put him on TV 24/7 and make sure all the newspapers are writing about him so that all you think about is Trump, Trump, Trump. Be very, very, very worried about Trump, Trump, Trump. Basically, he is a little puppet made of paper and cloth being secretly manipulated by shadowy people who pull the strings, and you have mistaken him for real. Trump, Trump, Trump is taking over! Be scared! Live in fear! The little cloth and paper puppet is coming for you!

It's time to turn off the TV. It's time to stop reading those in depth analysis of who Trump is. It's time to ignore the little puppet and look at the reality that dwells behind it. You're on Avalon for heaven's sake and you should know that there is more to our reality than this paper puppet with a mangey head of hair. The only reason to look at this puppet is because he will show you the way to the puppetmaster.

    B.
I'll consider any politician who supports the funding of conscienceless murder whether 'legalized' or covert a psychopath.

Sanders supported the 2014 Senate resolution that backed the Israeli massacre of thousands of civilians in Gaza by allowing it to pass by unanimous consent. He repeatedly votes to keep sending billions of dollars in arms that Israel uses to massacre Palestinians and other Arab people like the Lebanese. He claims to be sympathetic to the Palestinians and the Jews, but sends the three billion dollars in weapons every year that Israel uses to slaughter Palestinians. He says he is for a "two state solution", but the betrayal of the so-called "two state solution" is already in effect. It is what was used by Israel to put a wall around Gaza and treat it as a giant open air prison under Israeli economic blockade and under periodic massacre by the Israeli state. The so-called "two state solution" is extremely similar to the Nazi's Warsaw Ghetto. The so-called "two state solution" is a fake "solution" that was obvious when Yasser Arafat agreed to it. Sanders especially gets no points for any of the many excuses and lies he tells on behalf of Israel as he gives Israel the weapons used to slaughter the Palestinian people.

The worst thing we could do is officially put a jew in the white house - NO jew politician would have the internal fortitude to go against his 'tribe', and/or would be able to withstand the coercion from the gleeful out of their minds powerful psychopathic blood buddies he would be surrounded by.

Just to put it in perspective, just about everyone if not everyone would fall under something in the DSM-IV-TR (The diagnostic manual for the American Psychiatric Association).

If one has ever taken a few psychiatry classes and then analyze their own mind, they will see it finding mental 'disorders' in practically everyone if given enough time.

    Isn't psychiatry wonderful?

All I can say is I am fortunate to live where I live.
Americans don't seem to have that much choice in who they vote for this time.

in the country where I live since I have the right to vote, presidents have always been crooks... some other countries still have queens and kings so I think "americans" are definitely not the most unfortunate.
It's an illusion that 'americans', as you say, do not have a king or queen. The shadow government cruises along regardless of who is elected to represent said government, certainly not the people.

We get to choose between coke and pepsi, once you realize this watching threads like this that argue the merits of coke over pepsi is pretty hilarious....

Presidents are figureheads, they always have been, the REAL power is the bureaucrats and those types that hang around washington their entire lives with memberships in clubs like PNAC or CFR (Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, John Ellis "Jeb" Bush, etc...)

That could be considered the shadow government... their policies have shaped this country for decades now.

It's also why assassinating a public leader of government will not significantly change the course of a country. Another public leader (mask) will simply be installed in its place. There are no shortages of masks. Long before a mask falls there are others fashioned for its replacement.

    CrossTalk: Trump's Hostile Takeover

    Published on 4 Mar 2016

American presidential election politics is a cross between a talent show and a beauty contest.
Being smart and coherent does not necessarily pay dividends. Case in point: Donald Trump
    and Hillary Clinton. Both are front-runners of their parties. Trump is idiosyncratic and raw;
Clinton the ultimate establishment insider. Is this a choice, or merely bad theater?
CrossTalking with Brandon Andrews, David Paul Kuhn, and Lionel.

Almost all anti-Trumpers NEVER offer an alternative or why they offer an alternative, which is how liberals theses days masticate.
