Synchronicities

(Sorry about the new thread, but couldn't find one specifically for this subject.)

Those who recognize me on the forum will know I'm annoyingly rational; I require proof of everything and have little time or patience for any woo-woo nonsense...

But over the last month or so I've been having minor synchronicities. Nothing mind blowing, but quite useful.

Today for example I noticed an oversized document on my shelf that had presumably been there for months if not a year or two. I picked it up and noticed it was a copy of an operating and maintenance manual I had written for some equipment I sold some years ago. That was at about 10am.

At 3pm I got a call from someone who had a problem with that very item, and I was able to pick the manual off the shelf and talk him through some tests.

Common sense tells me this is just coincidence. We all have thousands of little experiences every day, and it would be remarkable if there weren't a few coincidences. Nevertheless, now I've noticed them I've 'gone with the flow' and I sort of think they may be increasing...

Anyway, as a die-hard rationalist I just thought I'd share that. I hope reporting is hasn't broken the "spell"!

So, if whatever is doing this for me could show me a UFO or ghost, I'd be well chuffed. But I guess that would be pushing my luck...?

Well Nick, seems like you're ready for another one! I just joined the forum and today I had a simple urge to come and have a look - and there is your post right on top shouting out at me! (I am going to turn on some of my favourite music because that is always a good thing for me too!)

I have to be honest - I had a giggle when I read in your post "woo - woo nonsense". I have heard that term a few times, and I get it, but I am also learning to understand those who use this term. (where they are in the process)
So, no worries Nick, this isn't woo-woo stuff. It really is quite simple, but like many things in life it requires some commitment and practice. I feel from your post that you are a very practical hard working person. I expect that you are always trying to better yourself and learn new things, keep up with current events and new tech, etc. Society does a good job of keeping our mind busy! When we are going through our day and have a simple decision to make our mind jumps back and forth - should we do this or that? We make a decision based on many different things going through our mind. Now, think of a time when your mind wasn't busy and you were going to do something, maybe buy an item. Perhaps at first you thought "I am going to buy this!" Then there was a strong thought in your mind that you shouldn't. Like your conscience. Often, when we go against the 'thought' or 'voice' in our head, we later find that we did the wrong thing. This is the key to being in sync - we need to listen to the message in our mind - it is there in all of us, but due to all of the things that we are bombarded with in everyday life, the voice gets drowned out and we don't hear it.
Now this can be difficult at first. We have to find a way to 'listen' for these messages. When our mind is too busy, or we are too stressed or on certain medications, this is more difficult. I would say also, that it is a certain confidence within yourself to trust yourself. Trust your instinct. When I first encountered this myself, I put it into practice - if I got a thought that seemed strong but came out of nowhere, I would say it aloud or write it down. As I did this, I found that I was experiencing more synchronicity. I have now taken he word "coincidence" out of my vocabulary.
Last week I met a woman and during the introduction, I got a thought that popped into my head - 'realtor'. I said to her, "You would probably be a good realtor." She looked at me with wonder and asked if I was psychic. No, I don't consider myself a psychic. I just pay attention to what I hear inside myself.

I will say I've had a fair few over the years to completely dismiss them out of hand. Perhaps its time to pay more attention as you intimated.

Deja vu still puts me into a trance for about 5 minutes as I try to work out what the hell just happened.

Life just seems to work out when you don't fight it.... My wife is in the states helping her best friend move down here, they were in oregon recently trying to help my daughter get a job, the first place they stopped into was hiring so they got an application and filled it out right there.. as soon as the manager saw "cruzan cowgirls" listed as a reference the manger called for an interview, she was good friends with the "best friend" my wife is helping move & a follower of our horse rescue..

so anyway, first stop, first application: got the job....

I used to think I was just lucky a lot.. now I think that "the universe provides" (if you let it).

Do you mind if I tell you one of mine here............. It's a bit rambling but was the one that blew my mind, just because of the outrageousness of it. I'm aware that I come across as a bit of an asshole at times, and arrogant....... and pompous ( thanks Daozen :-) )........ but I have to name drop here as, well, it's just what happened.

I used to DJ and was resident at a club. One bank holiday weekend we had Jazzie B from Soul 2 Soul as our guest DJ. It was great night and afterward we stayed behind in the club and I got to spend a couple of hours sitting and talking and drinking with him, top fella.

Soul 2 Soul were massive in the late 80's and early 90's. One of their biggest singles, and a number 1, was Back To Life. Another massive song of theirs was Keep On Moving:

So, Saturday night finishes, spent a quality couple of hours with Jazzie B and that was that. With it being a bank holiday we were off work on the Monday. Myself and two friends decided to go mountain biking. We were doing some trails along some cliff paths with 400ft drops off to one side. I was racing down a trail, did a little jump and when I landed I caught my rear wheel on the edge of a large pot-hole......... Bang........ Tyre burst. I skidded to a stop, dis-mounted and as I knelt down to look at my damaged wheel, right there, and I mean RIGHT THERE next to my wheel was a good fist-sized rock............ And written on the rock......... Was, "Keep On Moving" !!!!

I'm looking at this rock, looking at my two pals and I can't compute........... What the hell???

Now, what I reckon is this. Someone was doing some sort of treasure trail or mystery trail, or was maybe even writing random messages onto rocks and leaving them around, people often do things like that, messages on trees etc, etc. But the fact that that rock was right next to my wheel when it burst and stopped, the fact that I'd just had a great night with Jazzie B and one of his band's biggest hits was "Keep On Moving"............ Well.......... Head........ Blown.

I have that rock to this very day, and is in fact on a shelf that I can see right now writing this.

It was just a great wee thing from the Universe.

If you are able to get a copy of this book - I found it to be a most fascinating read! There is at least one entire chapter dedicated to "Synchronicity" and the concept of it seems to thread it's way throughout ...

Another reason for posting it is apart from it being an interesting article ,
David is always saying that instead of mainstream media and critics always
accusing alternate theorists and researchers as 'conspiracy theorists'.
David says we should refer to them as 'coincidence theories or theorists '.....Which I like.



In this case I will probably go with coincidence or possibly synchronicity....

That little first person point of view which you consider your life, the one you look at....is not external of you.......it is YOU

All your emotions, you worries, your hopes, your dreams....you create as an external balance to your present consideration of YOU

Yes.......that which you consider as 'luck' is nothing more that your own empathy of self, that 'value' you find in contrast to the impregnated mind!

This year, I went to Bergen in Norway, while watching TV, suddenly a cooking programme about Scandinavian food comes on. Also I thought about someone that died, and they are in a coffin, on a TV soap opera there was a coffin being carried through a cemetery.

And I find that if I'm trying to find an answer to something, the answer to it pops up in a newspaper etc. Another thing: if someone has told me something important and I want to share it with someone else, if that person is suddenly distracted ~ that is a warning to me from above saying (oh no you dont - learn to shut the hell up & keep quiet!)

I wrote this in another recent thread on 'parallel timelines'.

An American mystic, Wayne Wirs, made a suggestion on his blog that people should record a personal diary of these types of unexplainable coincidences, and any other incredible life events. He called it a 'miracle log'. If you read it in hindsight you'll recognise how incredible and magical life is. I started keeping one this past spring. Here's a sample entry:

2016/9/10: My daughter bought a toy today at the grocery store, from a ‘slot’ machine. The toy was a small brown plastic doggie named ‘Jazz’. What’s so remarkable about this is that an elderly couple, friends of ours, also have a brown dachshund named Jazz. The husband in this elderly couple played in jazz ensembles for years, thus the source of their doggie’s name. My daughter enjoys playing with the real dog. Since the name is so unique and uncommon, thusly we consider this to be a blatant case of synchronicity.

On the woo-woo scale I probably got the thing to burst... I get synchronicities a lot to say the least and a whole bunch of other " crazy" stuff, a bit like they have been mentioned by our fellow avalonians here... Messages, finding answers out of nowhere, being shut down when it is not good to talk to people, having signs of the next person I am going to meet and interact with. It makes like pretty magical and whimsical and yes it can be quite debilitating for a traditional square thinking boxy brain... I have found it hard to " fit" in society with this however life is a lot better when we " go with the flow".
