BTW Re: Me not being sure if Lifeextension.com sold products ... I checked their site a little more, and yes, they have a whole host of products for sale, and a whole load of all kinds of great articles on life extension.
    hi DeDukshyn,

I have some suggestions for you,
given your interest in the articles on the life extension site

=> I think maybe you might consider creating an account on longecity.org.
You'll be with lots of other people that are also interested in health and longevity issues.
There are lots of threads there with lots of valuable information.
    See here: longecity.org

=> You might also wish to sign up for the free emails from iHealthTube.com
(the emails contain links to short,.. 2,3 or 4 minute videos on health issues.
Like... the new accumulating evidence that the calcium in dairy products is
basically killing people.. search for "Tom Levy death by calcium"...
you're not hearing that news in MSM ! Or for example, the news about the
impact of boron in curing arthritis and osteoporosis... again not a dickie bird
on MSM. Big pharma makes billions on pain killers, anti-inflamatories and
anti-arthritis drugs. Boron (Borax) costs next to nothing).
    But i digress..

So those are my, hopefully, helpful suggestions
Thanks for the tips and links Lucidity. These look great, I will check into them for sure.

I'm not personally really huge into the whole life extension lifestyle much, whenever I die is fine with me, however, the living healthy into old age aspect does intrigue me a little, and some of these nutrients (along with lifestyle enhancements) can allow for that. I really like to try things though, gain experience, so that if I ever find myself discussing such topics, I have some real life experience to contribute, as opposed to just some "book" knowledge. Hence my play with caloric restriction in the past and with various supplements.

It should be noted, I work for a very advanced supplement manufacture in Canada (Advanced Orthomolecular Research) so I am privy to much of the latest and greatest peer reviewed research and molecular discoveries. And yes the company I work for produces all these interesting supplements, and no, no one can get these through me.

The two amino acids that form carnosine (alanine and histidine) can be found in great quantities in gelatine. I've been taken gelatine in the last weeks (home-made, powdered gelatin), and in fact I've noticed a better skin condition (is also very good for your joints, muscles and bones). It's another and cheaper option. Anyway, I'll give carnosine supplements a go...

Besides, I've read that carnosine is soluble in water. Then you can apply it directly in your skin to boost good results. Maybe it's worth trying :-)
The two aminos must be bound to each other to be carnosine, else it's just those two aminos. However, since your body does create carnosine for its own purposes, having a good supply of precursors can help this process.

Carnosine should work topically (face cream anyone!?), as the effect is always local - to where the carnosine molecules are. if you can get them to absorb through the skin (might need more than just water), it should be able to perform its magic at the spot. I have suggested here at work that we make a skin cream with carnosine, but I think to get amounts that would be needed to work for such an application might be a bit expensive; it was never taken seriously, which I think is unfortunate.

The answer to longevity is out there.
We now have Crisper... I think living to 400 will be common with in my life time.. and maybe start very soon.

There's a lot of fascinating research being done on this topic.

    I have a simple question:
What dosage is the life extension website suggesting for Carnosine ?
Anyone know ? I'd be very grateful if you could pop a reply
500mg and up, apparently there aren't any bad side effects from much higher doses.
Ultrasound. That makes perfect sense. I'd been daydreaming of something similar for months now. Living til 2-400 may become common, but I wouldn't expect any announcements from the mainstream press. The protocol will come on the free market. Anyone asking on Avalon for the cure to kidney or heart disease... or cancer/diabetes/fatigue will most likely receive good advice, and find a regime that costs less than a dollar a day... It'll be the same with anti-aging. Those who search out a protocol will find it, those who don't, can age naturally. A surprising amount of people don't even want to live past 100... so everyone will get their choice on this free will planet.

Now to find the ultra-sound frequencies that protect telomeres, and see if I can generate them from my PC.

Inhibiting Carbonic anhydrase makes a lot of sense too.

    EDIT:

Here are natural Carbonic Anhydrase inhibitors:

Lucidity, I heard of that form of Niacin. It's high on my list... What brand do you take? I don't have time to Google different brands. There's enough trust on this forum that I will probably follow what other members recomend. It's not like any of us is trying to sell this stuff.

yes it is unfortunate because so so cream for skin care for women cost an arm and a leg, yours would certainly not be more expensive and there is a huge market for it.

Tell your bosses to hire women in your marketing department, they would be able to convince management to do those creams - lots of potential revenue involved. I would take a face cream from you anytime instead of Loreal or Dior at 150$ a little jar, filled with too much perfume, and with lots of nano particules.

Some say the three causes of disease are inflammation, inflammation and inflammation.

There are lots of Rife frequency youtube videos out there. I can see how some would see clips like this as kind of kooky, but at least people are experimenting. A frequency that takes the viral/bacterial/fungal load off the body, or one that repairs telomeres, would help a lot.

And here is HIFU. I know Dr Oz has a mixed reputation, but this seems good. Home units that work with a PC as a base should only cost a few hundred dollars. They tend to jack up the price by 2-300% for the first few years.

Many years ago I bought "The Vitamin Bible." I think that was the name; however, in it were listed all the known nutrients in the foods that we eat. The B Vitamins were said to be only partially produced by the human body, eight of them we must supplement daily. The 8 B vitamins are lost in our urine daily, as is vitamin C. The interesting thing I noted was there was only one substance or food listed which contained all the B Vitamins. That substance was Nutritional Yeast. Doubtless in the interest of killing us all off faster, white bread was exchanged for whole grain bread which would then be devoid of its B vitamins. The health of populations began to decline as diseases marched in. If we take Nutritional Yeast daily, the amino acids therein combine and recombine biochemically to do their miraculous jobs of keeping us alive and healthy. Notice, this is never sold in the supermarkets.

Calves liver was also listed as a source of B Vitamins; however, the liver does the job of cleansing toxins from the animal's body and therefore represents a risk to human health.

    Quote Unreviewed studies & claims[edit]
The Professor Wang et al. clinical trial study called 'Use of carnosine as a natural anti-senescence drug for human beings' was carried out on 96 patients with cataracts of varying degrees of severity, which showed a success rate of 80% in advanced senile cataracts, and 100% in patients with mild to moderate cataracts, over the 6 months trial period.[20]

Carnosine and blueberry extract together synergistically improved proliferation of human stem cells in vitro by 83%.[21]

That is true, one can almost overdose on anything. However Carnosinemia is a genetic disease that effects the bodies ability to convert carnosine (missing enzymes). People without this disease have mechanisms to regulate excess carnosine levels.

The best, most natural source of gelatine and a source of host of precious minerals ... is ...

To make a 'broth'.. a soup base from your chicken bones, lamb bones, beef bones, even fish bones.
bones with connecting ligaments and tendons (knuckles bones, pigs feet)
Crack open any chicken bones to allow the marrow to escape... that stuff's super healthy.

Put it in a pan, low heat, not boiling, a low simmer... a faint simmer.
Do this for several hours... 8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours.
flavour it with herbs and salt. Voila !

Put your broth into jars and store it in the fridge.
You've saved yourself a packet in supplements and you get
the gelatine and all the precious minerals from the bones.

A great way to get ALL the nutrients that your bones and connective tissue need to be healthy (granted one is not a vegan). Best to use organic / small / local farm bones from animals not subjected to forced hormone and antibiotic treatments ... quite important in my opinion

Sorry. I forgot to mention a vital fact about the Amino Acids of Nutritional Yeast. They act TOGETHER IN SPECIFIC PROPORTIONS. This means that if you have 100% of all but one of the Amino Acids and that last Amino Acid is present in say, one half of the amount required to engage the remaining Amino Acids, you body can then ONLY UTILIZE one half or 50% of the combined Amino Acids. Therefore, I believe it is better to ingest the Nutritional Yeast Flakes (more palatable than the powder) which contains the ENTIRE WHOLE YEAST, as the body is likely to be low or absent in those Amino Acids it is supposed to be able to produce. A HEADS UP is that LYSINE is a potent cancer fighter and should be taken with the complete nutritional yeast. This is valuable information. Remember it and use it.

Within 2-5 years, 10 at the outside... 10-20 percent of humanity might have their hands on the technology to live past 150. All it takes is a few hours study per week.

The key is to stop the telomeres from fraying.

Rooibos tea and hibiscus, there's some low hanging fruit. I tear open a hibiscus/rose tea sachet, and a rooibos sachet, and shake them in cold water. Seems to give me more energy and purify the body... I've also cut down on sugar, after hearing Amen Ra's thoughts on Glycation being a key factor in aging. Exciting times.

A great way to get ALL the nutrients that your bones and connective tissue need to be healthy (granted one is not a vegan). Best to use organic / small / local farm bones from animals not subjected to forced hormone and antibiotic treatments ... quite important in my opinion
In the last few months I've ordered produce twice from

    http://www.greenpasturefarms.co.uk/

Just ordered some more marrow bones and stock bones. http://www.greenpasturefarms.co.uk/p...f-marrow-bones

Heads up for any UK health conscious shoppers.
