I had some French friends from France (I am also French speaking but from Canada), who told me that when visiting Canada, they wanted to see Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal by car within their 2 weeks trip. I laughed. This is impossible.

What? They didn't want to include Niagara Falls as a side trip from Toronto? That's often at the top of visitors' agendas!

Brian, I completely agree with you. There really isn't anything in this video that many of us don't already know...what is lacking is a realistic plan to change what needs to be changed, and I see no one on the horizon capable of doing that - certainly neither of the two candidates. Mostly just very discouraging, IMO.

This is the essence of the problem. We are presented with four deplorable candidates. As I walked to vote for local issues I thought to myself I would prefer any random voter on the sidewalk as President.

We should not be looking for a candidate to represent us, but rather we ourselves should vote on bailouts, going to war, the budget and other matters Congress now votes on as advised by lobbyists. We have the tech for more democratic participation. We can and should govern ourselves. No need to thresh between two candidates who so clearly represent the death of representative government.

Why do we need the concept of "great-great again-not so great" in our minds? All that thinking in hierarchies, the comparing and competing that runs through people's lives, down to the last detail? That's how those self-imposed wannabe-bosses have trapped us, too. It's a habit, I think. I wished no country in the world would ever be great or great-again, just a good home for its people (with a clear mind to expose/reject the fake and the evil). Great beyond words is the creation of our blue planet and the worlds over yonder

Because we're not all Buddhists. In everyday life we have to have ideas of good/bad, right/wrong, etc. in order to function in society.

Wow, what did I just watch?

I plugged the TV aerial in for the first time in years so I could check the attitude of the mainstream media and ended up gobsmacked. I’m utterly baffled at how Hillary isn’t your new president.

I can almost hear our NWO puppets scrambling in Canberra from here. Our MSM is so stunned and worried. They’re talking about profound effects on Australia and around the world and they’re worried that we’re going to vote the same way in our next election, haha.

It’s Trump so everything is so high up in the air it’s in the stratosphere but did I just watch an actual real American election? Did I just watch the American people vote the establishment out of the White House?! That’s astonishing. Speechless.

You're responding on a different level / in a different context, nevertheless valid of course. It is about valuating the results of a specific action versus determining a certain condition/state of being (second language disclaimer, as always . . sigh).

To 'function' in (the current type of) society to me means to be a small cog in the machine - to operate smoothly society (the machine) needs the competing, judging, seperating mindset of its members. 'We are great' implies: you are not.

Wanting to make everyone on Earth Buddhist seems a bit too ideological to me.

If you think a great United States means a not-great EU then I'm sorry that you see things that way. I think a great United States depends on a great and strong Europe and vice-versa. Same goes with all countries we work with. This doesn't have to be a self-esteem thing, who is daddy's favorite child and this kind of mentality. We want to be great because we have passion and ambition and vision, and we are ready to change the status quo. Everyone should want their country to be great, however they envision "great" to be. Maybe you think is everything is fine the way it is but millions of people would not agree.

Greatness is a legitimate aspiration for anyone – and everyone. If we work as a team, it is important for all that each performs well. This can be achieved by a degree of emulation when good performance produces improvement in other. An over-competitive streak will have the opposite effect. In certain sports, they discuss who might be the GOAT, the greatest of all time, in a kind of virtual competition over decades. Usually today great is placed above yesterday’s; why? Because they have a hugely improved background level where there are many more very good players. So the concept is meaningless, and the debating futile.

Making America great again has undertones of Making America the greatest again. It is not great just now because since it started fighting wars around the world, it has not been very good at that. Sure, it can smash the minnows to smithereens, but in say Vietnam a lengthy campaign ended in stalemate. In 1944-45, along with the Brits and other allies, it just about saw off a small fraction of the German army, while the rest was busy fighting the Soviets. So America is basically not very good at warfare, which is a very good thing. It will be great again when it stops trying. What we see nowadays is not war at all: it is a video game causing real deaths.

One individual aspect of America is the notion of the President of the United States (POTUS) being the most powerful person in the world: even the abbreviation reeks of potency. Setting aside the notion that there are other more powerful people governing the president, the very idea and practice of it are clearly erroneous and outdated. The history of humanity has been one of the erosion of central power, taking us from gods (whatever that meant) to heroes and kings, to the divine right of kings to constitutional monarchy, dictatorships, and presidential/prime ministerial systems (non-royal constitutional monarchy), still on our way to true democracy. What we seeing all over the world is the bankruptcy of both dictatorship and the current presidential/prime ministerial systems. We still elect presidents, but no one is up to the task that they are expected to perform. Every stage of this historical evolution has ended in failure: kings became godless, until they were beheaded by an aristocracy/oligarchy that is still in turn coming to an end.

There is no conspiracy involved in the above picture. When you look at conspiracy in this light, you see it as a reactionary attempt to halt this evolutionary process. The gods survive their useful life (religion) royalty clings onto its influence into the 21st century (sheesh!), and now the oligarchs are clinging on for dear life, by trying to shut down the entire system. It ain’t gonna work Why? Because the entire system has been opened up: the general public now has access to the whole caboodle, all the way back to say Sitchin’s Annunaki and beyond. The details do not matter since the big picture is fairly plain to see. This learning curve has an unstoppable history of its own: from secret priesthoods and oral traditions to the printing press, gradually bringing education and enlightenment to increasing numbers, initially the well-off, later to the brighter members of the masses, all the way through to just about everyone in the Internet age.
