Default Runny nose, congestion, coughing, etc.

My nose had been running for over a week, dripping down my throat all night, coughing up mucus every morning.. I finally gave in and tried something- rubbing Vicks on the bottom of my feet. This morning was AMAZING. No sniffles, no coughing mucus. What a wonderful day! Just goes to show you that you don't have to believe something will work, I was sure it was a waste of time.. So, next time your nose or throat is rebelling, and you feel a cold is inevitable, try it out.. But, wash your feet off in the morning.. If you have sweaty feet, you'll notice an odd aroma.. Don't care, I'm doing it again tonight and every night for a few days until I know my cold is gone

Interesting, I use mint oils a lot too. Vicks contains turpentine/pine oil.

Pines don't catch cold, so maybe there is a compound in pine oil. Old folks cleaned with it for years. Hmmm.

They are throwng everything they can but it shant work

Deman Danswers, Ask your higher self (or Spirit or soul) to cure you now. Don't say please, but do say thank you.
Speak (out loud) to your body with the same message. Be sure to speak in a loving tone. Your body is always listening.

BTW, When you feel a cold coming on, never EVER say it out loud. Never say "I think I have a cold." Ask your higher self to keep you healthy. Stay away from using negative terms. Your body is always listening.

I've heard this before but have never tried it, I may try it next time I get a cold You can eat a hot Indian curry and stave off a cold which has worked for me especially if you swill it down with a few beers apparently some of the spices ward off colds but can't remember which ones.

I was amazed that my mainstream, straight talking, conservative Doctor (O.D.) said to rub vicks vapo rub on my feet for congestion. I looked at him like I thought he was kidding. He said "try it, it works." It did.

Our parents did not know any better using petroleum products like Vicks.
Best to engage with essential oils that are pure, like Youngs Living, targeting the problems. Also Elderberry syrup is quite good. And don't forget, Echinacea with Golden Seal. So many herbal approaches to this condition.

You can also rub eregano or thieves essential oil on the bottom of your feet and get the same results without introducing the deleterious substances in Vicks into your body. Also, cut an onion in half and place it cut side up in a bowl in your bedroom while you sleep.

Funny that you mention Vicks! Last week I was looking for that product in many stores and could not find it! Vicks or Mentholatum would have been fine, but what is going on that this product is no where to be found... I may break down and buy tiger's balm, as it seems to be the closest thing to replace Vicks to put on my feet. I am tired of my cough and congestion and just not feeling well.

Go to town with large doses of Vitamin C. When you rubbed the vicks on your feet, the scent migrated to your nose during the night traveling under the covers, relieving the congestion in head and lungs. You can also rub it on your chest which is closer to your nose.

Since last Thursday I've been chesty and full of phlegm. My nose runs the same as when I use to surf and afterwards sea water would just flow out my nasal passage.... It's weird, never experienced this before.
