The Tunguska Event
In Phenomenon: The Lost Archives -- Tunguska, the Russian Roswell, viewers investigate the destruction of 200 square miles of Siberian forest just prior to the Russian Revolution in 1908. Was it, in fact, the impact of an asteroid that caused the explosion? Or was it the crash site of a UFO?

Re: The Tunguska Event
Hosted by Dean Stockwell and dated 1997.
Two very good papers saying that it was 'normal' Cosmic Body of 'abnormal proportions' in recent history.
First one in 2001 which is simply good speculation. The 2007 paper though is about as thorough as anything I've read on this issue.
First the Wikipedia link:

The 2001 paper published in Astronomy. &. Astrophysics:
http://www-th.bo.infn.it/tunguska/aah2886.pdf
The 2007 paper:

I had normally assigned different speculations until I had read both of these, and they pretty much (esp the 2007 paper) settle the issue for me.
