known as obelisk – is shrouded in mystery.

There is also this beast: the giant unfinished Obelisk still lying in bedrock, half buried at Aswan. The excavation was abandoned approximately 3,500 years ago, and experts estimate that had the obelisk been fully realised it would have topped the 1,000 ton range, and been the largest and tallest ever. Unfortunately, fatal cracks in the granite sealed this obelisk's fate.

Aswan, by the way, was a favourite source of granite for the Egyptians. They quarried stone here for many of their famous structures, including the columns, chambers and interiors of the pyramids at Giza. Yet Aswan is hundreds of miles from Giza! A question has to be asked of that. Why did they transport them so far, when architects and engineers could have sourced materials much closer to hand that were far easier to work with than granite.

Personally, I think there is more to the story, more to the reality of what obelisks actually are or were. They had to be made of granite to work, in my opinion. Granite is rich in quartz. Quartz crystal. For the sake of brevity I'll spare you any in-depth esoteric ramblings, lol, and suggest that obelisks maybe more ancient, or based/modelled on something more ancient, something involving crystal technology that the later Egyptians perhaps were attempting to preserve or replicate. I see the obelisks as a kind of mast, sitting on ancient lines of force (magnetic or vibrational), or a transmitter perhaps, or a healing device perhaps, or a tuning fork type device, or something like that.

Perhaps we can wonder why there are giant obelisks or obelisk structures standing in, amongst other places, the centres of human power and domination – in its three fundamental centres in fact, symbolising the economic, the religious, and the military.

I have to agree here. The size, shape and material are specific enough to indicate some type of energetic function. Subtle energy is not a subject that most archaeologists are familiar with, which can cause some confusion when trying to determine the reason these giant stone structures were built.
Henges, pyramids, obelisks and caves lined with granite were all built primarily with energetic considerations in mind, IMHO.
