Trump fires FBI director James Comey

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Donald Trump has fired FBI Director James Comey.

In a statement, Trump says Comey's firing "will mark a new beginning" for the FBI. The White House says the search for a new FBI director will begin immediately.

Comey's firing comes days after he testified on Capitol Hill about the FBI's investigation into Russia's election meddling and possible connections between Russia and Trump's campaign.

Now if trump's people can go after that FBI guy Andrew McCabe. We became aware of him through George Webb. He is the one who openly curses at trump at staff meetings, "F**k Flynn and then we f**k trump". Supposedly his wife received over 600,000 in some kind of donation/gift from Clinton and never reported it. If he's still in the FBI this is one bad apple he should fire....

On April 25, 2017 Rod J. Rosenstein was confirmed to be the Deputy Attorney General for the United States Department of Justice by the United States Senate in a 94 to 6 vote... an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote I might add.

Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Democratic leader, said Mr. Trump had called him earlier on Tuesday to inform him of the firing.

“I simply said to him, ‘Mr. President, in all due respect, you’re making a very big mistake,’” Mr. Schumer recalled at a hastily arranged news conference Tuesday evening. “And he didn’t really answer.”

Mr. Schumer said the first question the administration must answer was, “Why now?”

It's simple, Chuckie... first, read the letter from Rod Rosenstein to Jeff Sessions. All the reasons are outlined there. In addition, Rosenstein cites "shared perspective" from several "former Attorneys General and Deputy Attorneys General from different eras and both political parties."

And note that Sessions had recused himself from all things Russian which would of course include Comey due to the possibility the FBI (under Comey) might be investigating Trump campaign officials and Trump administration officials and thus it only makes sense that the Deputy Attorney General review the matter.

And might I add one other factor. The direct supervisor to the Director of the FBI is the Deputy Attorney General which in this case (and as of just two weeks ago because of obstructionistic 'slow walking' of Senate confirmations) is now (finally) Rod J. Rosenstein.

Pretty straight forward, Chuck.

And now I ask you this. If you, Chuck, were President and these two letters were delivered to your desk... do you see you have any choice but to fire him?

And now I ask one more question. With this so clear and obvious and the fact this was based primarily on Comey's actions of July 5, 2016, how the heck did the Lynch Justice Department not make this same recommendation to the then President Obama?

I'm now confused as to whether there is really an investigation going on re trump and russia. From trump's letter it seems there is not, from the dems it seems there is. Are the dems perpetrating a hoax on the public just to keep bad press going against trump?

Will Comey engage in spite work now that he's been fired?

Now that McCabe's buffering agent (Comey) has been removed, I do sense McCabe will be resigning in the near future. No doubt, the pressing sense to "get the hell out of Dodge", is probably nagging at the back of McCabe's neck. Leave it to Judicial Watch to be the tip of the spear on this investigative probe.
