    Quote Posted by iAMWE (here)
First the money will be blockchained, then other forms of information (e.g., Internet 2.0), compliments of the imminent clash of civilizations after Abbas is assassinated by "rogue" Russian operatives, in response for having their nest of domestic operatives in the U.S. taken out.
I am seeing the makings of a potentially serious move to "lock down" the Internet, rather as iAMWE predicted in the above post.

I am convinced that this lockdown can not be done using a straight forward application of blockchain technology, as I explained in my above Post #92.

But certainly our Internet freedom can be severely restricted, as I explained in the threads How the Elite Bastards will control the Wild Wild Web. and The Clipper Chip revisited: HTTPS considered harmful.

I am seeing now some of the lead up to this effort to "lock down" the Internet, to "keep it safe for humanity".

In this new Reuter's story Group linked to NSA spy leaks threatens sale of new tech secrets, the groundwork is continuing to be layed to extend cyber attacks such as the recent severe, ongoing, global, WannaCry ransomware attack, to even more severe attacks, using leaked NSA hacking tools.

That's why, in my cynical view, Wikileaks exposed the NSA's collection of hacking tools in the first place. The world is coming to know that there is a powerful set of hacking tools out there, that threatens pretty much everything connected to the Web, including our medical and banking records, our electrical grid, our phones, our computers, airline travel, and the world's financial systems.

Just as such threats of using airplanes as guided missiles to take down skyscrapers (the WTC towers on 9/11) led to unending tyranny at airport checkin gates, similarly will such global Internet threats be used to justify unending tyranny on the Web.

I am concerned that a major false flag event could be used to rush through Congress a "Patriot Act for the Internet", with a strong push to make that world-wide via the United Nations, which would impose a variety of Draconian measures on Internet Websites and on connected computers, smartphones, and smart appliances (the Internet of Things.)

Perhaps a major outage in the US, initially blamed on an EMT attack from North Korea, then rapidly exposed as an Internet attack on the US electrical grid, could be this false flag event.

P.S. -- Notice all the moving pieces in the above potential scenario. Not one person in a hundred will be able to connect the pieces in time to effectively protest.

P.P.S. -- The opening paragraphs of the above linked Reuters article are quite direct in describing a potentially devastating world-wide threat to the Internet in coming months:

Quote A group that took credit for leaking NSA cyber spying tools - including ones used in the WannaCry global ransomware attack - has said it plans to sell code that can be used to hack into the world's most used computers, software and phones.

Using trademark garbled English, the Shadow Brokers group said in an online statement that, from June, it will begin releasing software to anyone willing to pay for access to some of the tech world's biggest commercial secrets.

In the blog post, the group said it was setting up a "monthly data dump" and that it could offer tools to break into web browsers, network routers, phone handsets, plus newer exploits for Windows 10 and data stolen from central banks.

It said it was set to sell access to previously undisclosed vulnerabilities, known as zero-days, that could be used to attack Microsoft Corp's (MSFT.O) latest software system, Windows 10. The post did not identify other products by name.

It also threatened to dump data from banks using the SWIFT international money transfer network and from Russian, Chinese, Iranian or North Korean nuclear and missile programs, without providing further details.

If profits are interfered with screw Liberty.

what a world. our spy agencies creating harmful malware to close down the last area of freedom.
ingenious though, gotta hand it to them. not only eliminate freedom but possibly impoverish us to boot!
