I would not consume the line that 'russian intelligence agencies conform to the law'. For example, it was widely known in russia that the supposed 'terrorist attacks' of blowing up apartment buildings, killing hundreds, that were blamed on chechin terrorists were actually false flag fsb events, used as an excuse to invade chechnya. Fsb agents were caught in other buildings at the time with explosives. Here is a description of one of these events and the captured fsb agents:

"The blasts hit Buynaksk on 4 September, Moscow on 9 and 13 September, and Volgodonsk on 16 September. An explosive device similar to those used in these bombings was found and defused in an apartment block in the Russian city of Ryazan on 22 September.[1] The next day, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin praised the vigilance of the inhabitants of Ryazan and ordered the air bombing of Grozny, which marked the beginning of the Second Chechen War.[2] According to the Moscow City Court, these were acts of terrorism organized and financed by the leaders of the illegal armed group Caucasus Islamic Institute.[3] Thirty-six hours later, three FSB agents who had planted the explosives at Ryazan were arrested by the local police. The incident was declared to have been a training exercise and the agents were released on Moscow's orders."

Apparently, contrary to what putin claims, russia has a massive surveillance operation, just like the nsa. This is common knowledge amongst the russian people and is a hangover from the soviet days. Here is a description of the system used:

"Beware of SORM. The System of Operative-Investigative Measures, or SORM, is Russia’s national system of lawful interception of all electronic utterances—an Orwellian network that jeopardizes privacy and the ability to use telecommunications to oppose the government. "

Also, harsh critics of putin within, or fleeing, russia, frequently end up dead. So, dont count on this guy to lead us to the promised land:

Putin may perform an important counterbalance to the west, but i think it appears to be part of a hegellian script (he uses the same methods as the cabal).

If my only choices were Trump or Putin, I would pick Putin if he would renounce this macho posturing that requires the torture and oppression of gay people. Putin is a very sharp cookie while Trump is an imbecile who has only made his way through life because he was born in a billionaire family. Financial analysts have claimed that if Trump had simply put his inheritance into a savings account, he would be much richer today than with all his machinations and bankruptcies. Putin may be merciless but he is no fool. Trump? God help us all.
