Some might be wondering about the back story...

Quote Kastrup nails it and materialists can never get past the hard problem. Why not just face the truth? (that materialists cannot get around the hard problem)
The owner of the forum responded -

Quote Why can we not have polite differences of opinions about a subject as personal as our spirit, Sam?
And, not assume one world view is superior over another?
For some reason, or other, it seems conscientiousness builds to convince others one way is better than another?
In some circles it's considered quite rude to offer another opinion, especially a good one. Consider yourself chastised. You will not be invited to High Tea for at least the next two social seasons. And when you are invited, keep your eyes lowered and accept however many sugars Lady Hortensia puts in your teacup.
    Good day!

In some circles it's considered quite rude to be correct. Consider yourself chastised. You will not be invited to High Tea for at least the next two social seasons. And when you are invited, keep your eyes lowered and accept however many sugars Lady Hortense puts in your teacup.

What's funny about that "forum owner's response" was that there's no room for one's "spirit" in the world view of materialism. In that world view, something such as "spirit" and/or "soul" simply don't exist. Thus the response excludes its own validity.

All the above is all and only my opinion - all subject to change and not meant to be true for anyone else regardless of how I phrase it.

Quote But if we accept all this, we are still left with a philosophical problem: if a creature is a thought of God, what does it mean to say that it is an autonomous creator? It would appear that we are and yet are not God.
Hi Sammy! About why would it appear that we "are not god", i'm particularly curious about!

I would never attempt to answer this for you. That's for you to decide for yourself, yes?

I have answered this for myself at one point in my journey. The operational assumptions I derived from my exploration, I just so happen to still retain today. I may modify or discard one or all tomorrow.

In the following thread, I wrote up how I answered your question for myself. That is because I am from the school of "both/and."
