Well AI is complicated enough a design could go haywire. But as long as you know what you are building with AI and program it correctly it doesn't just turn on it's master. You can give an AI some level of hardwired coding that is basically a natural law to that AI. Also, AI engineers have insight into what they are building, it may go down to having the right discernment in what you connect the AI to. I do agree we need proper decision making when creating AI, especially in what we connect it to. But the Terminator and Matrix stuff about AI is just Hollywood being Hollywood.Posted by Justplain (here)
Omnisense, what if the ai finds that it can sustain itself, do you have the confidence that it wont turn on its maker to try to ensure its own survival?
I do think with something as big as AI the shadow government will be manipulating the public thoroughly. They will milk it for everything it is worth, like this warfare strategy describes.
