BBC just published an article related to Trump retweeting the videos. The article points to filter bubbles, which I am still trying to understand better. I'm not big on Twitter, so don't know how it all works yet.

The BBC article, Trump, Twitter and his 'filter bubble', begins:

Although his main Twitter account has nearly 44 million followers, President Donald Trump chooses to follow just 45 other Twitter users - all of whom agree with him, most of the time.

Now that seeming reluctance to expose himself to alternative viewpoints is being put forward as a possible factor in the president's decision to retweet three videos by a far-right UK group.

Social media experts call it the "filter bubble" - the ability to choose only the news and views that we agree with.

Earlier this year, Microsoft founder Bill Gates warned against the negative effects of the filter bubble, which he said increasingly prevented people from "mixing and sharing and understanding other points of view".

"It's turned out to be more of a problem than I, or many others, would have expected, " he told the Quartz website.

Sometimes the bubble is automatic, created for us by a combination of our browsing history data, plus the algorithms of Facebook and Google. The end result: posts, people and stories that conform to our individual world view.

Sometimes we get to build our own bubble, by deliberately cutting ourselves off from dialogue with people who don't agree with us.

Thanks for going to the effort to post those vids Running Deer, my own filter bubble (aside from Twitter controlling the feed) causes me to avoid watching or spreading inflammatory material, (I still haven’t watched them) I struggle enough in UK with the fear porn of Muslims taking over, the fear and hatred is palpable here now as demographically white Christian Brits are a minority and the depressing TV dramatisation of The Handmaid’s Tale seems all too close to manifesting.

But as you say Kiwi there’s not much we can do but sit back and watch with glimmers of hope the only antidote to the overwhelming sense of impotence. Those glimmers being Trump as Saviour and spiritual warriors hard at work.

Like you, Phoenix1304, I passed on the videos. I only watched a few seconds of the boy on the crutch to make sure it was the correct one. The energy expended in pain, anger and suffering with the reruns in my head benefit the tyrannys' intentional design. My head is not in the sand. It’s one of the counter strategies I use to help turn things around on the planet. Generally speaking, I ask myself why do I want to pass along this material to friends and family? Is it to inform? Or it’s to ease my own suffering?

The seen and unseen promoters of keeping the frequencies in 3D lockdown only serve to strengthen my resolved to advance in ways I’ve yet to understand.

it's talking about a version of confirmation bias "filter bubbles" is a sociological behavior term (in this case it is aided by algorithms in software and search history, but it's still the same concept) , an awkward way of saying that you are in an echo chamber where everyone agrees with you and you shun dissenting information.

That's today's "journalists" way of explaining things I suppose... the epic's of prose in our time.... SO SAD!

There's a LOT you can do, start making YOUR community better, pick up people who need rides, grab that piece of trash as you walk buy it.. BE the example you want to see in others.

There is ALWAYS something you can do to make things better, and you have to, it's a constant struggle (and the only way WE get better is to struggle).

This whole thread is starting to make me think it's another "let the aliens come and save us" but that didn't work.... so now it's "let the super spies come and save us"

Either way the outcome seems to be the same:

Sit back and do nothing while "bigger things" "unfold".

I will always disagree with that type of sentiment and truly hope I"m wrong here, but I've yet to see any ACTUAL great things happen....

It's starting to smell of charles/atticus in here....

I don't think KiwiElf meant "do nothing" in the broader sense, but rather there is not too much we can do in what may be going on behind the scenes as far as Trump and the Deep State go, plans and activities that we can't know about. At least that's my take on that post.

I, for one, have never been a do-nothing person. In my friend/family circle and in my community, I constantly try to set examples. Nor am I looking for any saviors. I want to take part in my/our saving, that's for sure. Will the Q movement help bring it on? I think it's creating momentum.

To me, this thread is not about believing or trusting one person or one source of information, but a collaboration of researchers who are providing valuable information and links, as well as further questioning, that is bringing truth to light.

I was ready to post something similar. I've learned so much over the last month, things that I may never have looked into. It's been an extreme exercise on connecting the dots and following the money. Feels like a boot camp. I had turned my back on MSM and social media, but now I'm using both to study what may be happening behind the scenes.

Michael Flynn (b 1958) is from Middleton, Rhode Island and graduated from the University of RI and the Reserved Officer Training Corps (ROTC) in 1981.
