Default Pop your amygdala forward and evolve

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I just want to say Hi and offer you all a little gift. In this age of change I think eveyone might like to take a look at this site - or others like it. I just happen to like this one. (it has pictures :-) )

Popping your amygdala forward is pretty much just that - it's about visualising clicking that small part of your brain forward and stimulating/accessing the frontal lobes of your brain of which we currently only use a very very very small amount. This is the part of the brain that allows us access to those 'otherworldy' experiences and our creativity.

Anyway, it's a very interesting place that shows you exactly how to do it - it's sooo easy - takes 2 seconds.

    Enjoy.

Obviously I forgot to pop mine forward today.

Just had a quick read of the link and didn’t notice the ‘feather’ technique. It’s a very simple technique where you visualise a feather stimulating the amygdales and then ‘visualise’ the ‘popping’ sound. Particularly affective whilst solar gazing.

Hi Gita, here's the guy talking about the tickling on you tube. I just find it easler to envision switching it forward like a light switch.

Can you tell me why it's effective while solar gazing?

I'm not having much luck with working out how to embed stuff, so I hope this works:

... and no it didn't so here's the link.

Hi Teakai. I find it easier with the feather as I start getting a tickling sensation prior to clicking it forward (or trying to). I think this fools my brain into feeling the sensations and become more receptive to the idea. I also find it works better with sun gazing as the sun rays IMO have already soaked through the amygdales and made them ‘lighter’ in order for it to click forward more easily. Plus sun gazing puts me into a bit of a meditative state which is also useful. I suppose it all depends on what’s easier for each person. Hope this helps somewhat.

Here’s the vid you were trying to embed.

    ]Thanks for that, Gita.

I've just realised that it all might have something to do with that 'insert video' button.
Now to find where the smileys are kept.

When you reply, press the 'Go Advanced' button at the bottom right hand corner (next to 'Post Quick Reply' button) - this will take you to more options where you can see your smilieys and the youtube icon. Good luck. You'll soon find your feet.

You are most welcomed Teakai. Have fun with the smilies but you can’t use more than 5 (or is it 4?) of them in any one post which is a downer!

Hi Shybastid, did you notice a difference after starting the excercises?

I've only just found out about it so I haven't got anything to go on.

Hi shybastid, I'd be interested to know if there is anything more in his books than the exercises he gives free on his website? In other words, would we get more practical stuff out of the books than we get by doing the exercise he mentions or are the books mainly the anecdotal/background information type?

They are exercises AND antedotal examples. Neil is one of the people that started "cloud bursting",by "clicking forward." Don't go with too big of a cloud. It won't work. Smaller clouds? All I can tell you,is when my kids and I do this.. The clouds evaporate almost everytime. Every time we do it. We call it a "coincidence." My kids come home from the woods and say "dad," we did "3 coincidences in a row today."
Our whole family pratices "clicking forward."

Neil lives in Boulder ,Colorado and like the rest of us,he has to earn a living while he's trying to be a better person and share .That's the websites at the bottom of his page.
He's been on Coast 2 Coast many times.
It's weird....once you click forward..you get a real physical rush. You KNOW you did it. I don't even try to visualize anymore. I try and keep a "forward" state of mind all the time.
I like his first book best for direction.

Thanks. I know there are 'things' and 'ways and means' out there that can improve our conditions, functions, abilities, etc. Just figuring out what's real and what works is the key. Heck, I don't have 25 years to figure it out. Why doesn't some alien or god just drop in on us and fix everything?!?!? Or do we have to figure it out ourselves in order to ascend or vibrate higher?

It's all up to us Conk or it's all down to us - whichever you want to look it. All the answers are within you and when you come to trust yourself completely then you will never look outside of yourself again.

If you don't go within then you will go without!

While accepting that there are many ways of changing brain responses and therefore subjective expeience.
However it is my understanding that enlightenment is a permanent -mindless state and if that is what is looked for then any experience that comes and goes is not it.
The only place that spiritual Truth can be found is actually in the spiritual heart.
All belief systems all programing must go, even the thought that I am the meditator must be surrendered.
Christ said "Of myself I do nothing, it is the Father within who is the doer"
As long as there is a me claiming credit for everything ie ego then we can try this and that to no avail.
The ego will place limits one way or another, it creates bondage not freedom.
It creates fear and mny other negative emotions.

Yes its fun, yes there is no harm and many benefits from improving the quality of brain processes and therefore enhancing experiences, but purely from the context of enlightenment it is a distraction.
Enlightenment is a very powerful state.
Gandhi brought about the end of colonialism and that is no small feat.
Did he have an army? No
    Did he condone violence? No
    Gandhi was enlightened
Many wish to evolve spiritually but very few choose the path of enlightenment and are prepared to spend the time removing all that is not truth.
By Truth I mean that which is not a point of view, not a concept, and is unchanging.
In othe words the seeking of the answer to the question "What am I?"
That Truth is eternal and that it is what you are in your true nature.
The enlightened ones raise the vibration of the collective, at that spiritual vibration the energy coming through them is immense and helps to counterbalance all the negativity in the world.
Every single one of us who raises their spiritual vibration also raises the vibration of the whole.
A rising tide lifts all boats.
    Is that important?
    I think so.
The enlightened are incapable of making war, right action just flows through them as a consequence of their high spiritual frequency vibration.
They express unconditional love in every action.
As we evolve spiritually the negative thinking that causes friction cruelty and war just drops away.
The most important think we can do for society is to go inward and find our true selves, that will have a knock on effect to all others without exception.
    Chris

Thanks Gita and Greybeard. I am working on my distractions, the fears, the doubts. Trying to live my life NOW, not dwelling on past issues or dreaming about future events. I'm slowing learning to just be, learning to turn over everything to God. Stop fighting the whole universe and accept what is.

I've always loved the stories of Gandhi. His strength indeed fought off the whole of Britain! Dr. David Hawkin tells of his experiments with muscle testing and the calibration of various people, entities, and things. He concludes, as you do Greybeard, that one powerful Avatar (Jesus, Buddha, etc.) can offset the negative impact of thousands that are not seeing the light.

I also love how science is beginning to prove these ancient concepts about truth and being.

Gita, it's taken me decades to get over my shyness and insecurities from my teenage and young adult life. Those false feelings about myself have hindered me for many years. I am finally over coming them, to realize my magnificance as a son of God. I am special and I am to be loved. As all of us are.

    Salute!

You are an inspiration Conk – you have come such a long way. One little secret to share with you – forget accepting everything else and accept yourself as you already are cos once you’ve mastered that then you can’t help but accept everything else.

Ps. I bet your avatar had something to do with getting over your ‘distractions, fears, doubts’. It’s the style that does it!
