The second time Q posted the image (post 1863), he also used "1852-2.png."

funny you say that; maybe, maybe not - (I just had a detailed conversation with a team member about it; here's an extract/explanation):

My graphic numbering system is simple.

When I do the "Q" posts in Avalon, I copy & paste the text then format first.

Then I click on the real graphics "Q" provides & take a screen grab of them at their real size unless they are ridiculously large. (ie .png formats are huge compared to a .jpg or .tif) I paste the screen grab into Photoshop, crop & flatten it. I give it a unique number matching the "Q" post number (not the filename that appears in the actual post just above - but I leave that there). I re-save my graphic with it's new matching post number as a .jpg - Sometimes Q's graphics are huge so this is my way of matching them & reducing the file size.

For example, today's Q Post #1863 there is just one graphic, so I would normally just number/name that "1863-1". If there were two new graphics, the second would be "1863-2" and so on. Just makes it really easy to embed the right Q graphic to the right Q post in sequence.

There are actually two filenames:

There's the filename that appears in the actual Q Post (it's typed there & part of the "Q" post text), and...

the real filename; it's (usually) a hugely long string of alpha numeric numbers if you click on the original Q graphic & "save as". The "real" filename of the graphic is unchanged, which is;

Errrrr... there's NO WAY I can remember that when it comes time to do the post!

Now the graphic used today is a repeat, it came from Q post #1852 and it was the second image in that post. So the number/filename I gave that graphic back then, was "1852-2". Their filename as it appeared in the post was just "ClipboardImage".

(Again, the real original filename on the "Q" website is:

... and it hasn't changed)

With the repeat image today in post #1863, their posted filename now matches mine, ie "1852-2". I've never seen them use this numbering method before.

Now I don't know if you can do this on an iPad.

Put the pointer over the image in Avalon & let it "hover". It will usually display a little window with the "hidden" (real) file name, image size & how many times it's been viewed etc.

In other words, "Q" has posted (typed) my filename for that repeated image. (It's still their original graphic file, not my screen grabbed version).

Coincidence? muahahahah

If you take a screen grab and reformat the image, then that means you've created a new image as well.

It goes from #149 to #151 now. Odd, isn't it?

The two Q script sites I go to both use the same image files for both posts, but neither of them have the same file names as indicated for the original Q posts.

First one is 427.32 KB, from the original post by an Anon. The second time this image was posted by Q, even though the original post isn't appearing now, the script sites also save as being a 427.32 KB image. The one you posted here on the previous page is 78.41 KB. Hard to tell on this one.

Yeah, on occasion, "Q" has altered a post (or inserted a new post... or 3) & the sequence may change from what I originally posted - I do my best to stay on top of that.

If you go back through all the "text" versions of "Q" posts I've done on Avalon, (ie not a screen grab of the whole "Q" posts as they appear on "Q's" website), my version of the graphics numbering is consistent.

With "Q", who knows?

There's also a different numbering system being employed by "Q" on different boards (the ones you are referring to are links back to the 8CHAN Research boards). I can only conclude that different members of "Q" are making different posts, ie have you noticed that some are "signed" Q+?

If I didn't know better, there's a reason for that (plausible denial *Hint* *Hint*????)
