As KiwiElf notes, various portions of this page that Bill quotes could have, for the most part (but not the entire part) come from many posts in recent days (including some of my own posts.)
Mixing truth and falsehood, sensible and ridiculous, the obvious with the obfuscated, ... happens all the time.
Most often this mixing happens because the thoughts of the author are a mix of these opposites. Sometimes, the mixing happens more deliberately, with the intention to confuse.
Regardless of the mental state of the author of the page that Bill quotes, the effects
on the audience vary. Portions of such mixes are often not even noticed by some... minds wander, eyes skim, and cats command. Sometimes the presence of what is false, ridiculous, or obfuscated will tend to
discredit the accompanying portions that were otherwise more true, sensible or obvious. Sometimes the opposite occurs, and the presence of what is true, sensible or obvious will
add credibility to the accompanying portions that were otherwise more false, ridiculous or obfuscated.
My current impression is that, for Bill, the "Meanwhile ..." portion at the end of the page that Bill quotes was ridiculous, and that that ridiculous portion further discredited the preceding portions of the post.
Others of us, rather like dumpster diving homeless people (which us truth seekers can sympathize with, as we sift through all manner of truth, lies, confusions, and propaganda, looking for nuggets of truth), are less fussy. We pick and choose, based on our own ever shifting perceptions, practicalities, limitations, necessities, instincts, abilities, and rules of thumb, what seems good from what doesn't.
"Proximity", such as judging what's next to B.S. to be less untrustworthy, or what is next to reliable testimony to be more trustworthy, is only one of many possible rules of thumb, and not always a particularly useful rule of thumb (especially when our propagandist enemies abuse our fondness for that rule of thumb to market their ideas and to discredit what gets in their way.)
So, while Bill thought the entirety of what he quoted was to some degree discredited by its "Meanwhile ..." conclusions, I suspect that those conclusions were scarcely noticed by some of us (despite Bill pointing them out), and I suspect that those conclusions were rather ignored, as nonsensical
non sequitur's, by others of us.
(I am now wondering what portion of my potential audience will toss this post of mine into the discredited obfuscation pile. <grin>.)
