Astronomers recently reported what is being heralded as the "first radio detection of a planetary mass object beyond our solar system". The object, which is being described as a possible "rogue planet" is challenging astronomers bedrock ideas about, among other things, the assumed differences between gas giant planets & brown dwarf stars.
