The Rector of my church came this a.m. to get the measurements for my new washing machine....

Thanks to all who put their intent & prayers forward!! As you can tell, we have a group of caring people there! Because of my health I am unable to attend anymore, but they still love me!

Wow, that's a lot of domes, observatories, webcams and telescopes to be down. 13 if I counted correctly. (I'm not even going to go there with that 13 number thang.)

Dear Ulli!

My educated guess is that she still spies on us from time to time! It CAN be very draining emotionally to be intensely involved here on Avalon....I'm sure Kiwi & Turiya could attest to that!!

We each are on our own personal journey....sometimes Avalon is a "fit" & sometimes it isn't; that's my educated guess! That is why it is amazing Bill has been able to keep it going for this long!

In my own case it has allowed me to find my "answers" & hopefully, many more people can find their own "answers"!!

With coffee in hand, staring at screen, I ponder. I ponder the years of challenges, obstacles and growth. In reflecting on having been screwed, blued and tatooed over the years by others and in rebuilding my health something is happening. Forgive me, I cannot quite articulate it. I have knowledge, skills and experience - yes, but a sense of knowing grows. The rain is battering the window outside, the sky outside is grey, and I feel a sensation like a silent hairdryer on my head as I type. No sound. No voices. No images or "messages". Just a very light tapping. And no, not wind inside as I sit here at my kitchen table. No idea what it is, but as I type it continues. Emotion is building as I type. I want to cry but not for pain, loss or frustration. I am grateful. I continue to experience, learn and evolve. Right here, right now - I am becoming. What ? I ask. That remains to be experienced. I don't have answers or pretend to extol great wisdom, but I will continue to share and participate as I experience. And for that, I thank you.

This is very important, and a mostly un-noticed / un-talked about phenomenon.

My wife is a phone addict with a very powerful justification ("It's for business")...


Project Avalon and Reddit (somewhat Youtube as well) are the only "social media" I use and I know I'm an extremely light social media user... yet I still frequent 3 platforms in some social-media aspect, the addictive nature is VASTLY under-rated... I even notice it on PA or Youtube (I only lurk on reddit)where the compulsive desire to check feed back (thanks, likes, upvotes etc..) is prevalent; it's an incessant NEED to seek validation.

Validation over nothing, usually; which lessens the impact of the validation feed back loop for IMPORTANT things like accomplishing life goals etc..

I have gotten her to turn her phone on silent when we go to dinner a few times... so I'm chipping away .

I've taken to always having my phone on silent anymore... and the only thing I use it for other than text and calling is reading books via kindle app... not sure if I'm justifying, but I haven't checked it in 3ish hours so I think I'm doing ok at least.

I like what my brother and his wife do. They go out to dinner on Fridays, and the rule is twenty minutes to catch up on missed calls and then turn off the devices.
