Robert Davis, PhD, is a retired professor of neuroscience at the State University of New York. He is author of The UFO Phenomenon: Should I Believe? and Life After Death: An Analysis of the Evidence.

Here he describes the results of a survey of individuals who believe themselves to have experienced contact with non-human intelligence associated with unidentified aerial phenomena. Over 3,000 people responded to an in-depth survey. About 70% reported that their experiences had a positive impact in their life. About 25% reported that they had strong, waking memories of having been taken aboard a craft of some sort.

A Quick Look @ NGC 3079's Superbubbles

Astronomers have discovered a galaxy, called NGC 3079, is blowing bubbles in space and acting as an extraordinary particle accelerator.

These "superbubbles" are likely being blown by outbursts powered by material falling onto supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy or by winds from young stars.

Stretching thousands of light years across, the superbubbles in NGC 3079 are seen in X-ray, optical, and radio emission.

The particles in these superbubbles can be over a hundred times more energetic than those created by the world's most powerful accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider.

Astronomers thinksuperbubbles like those in NGC 3079 may be the source of extremely energetic cosmic rays.

Scientists have long been trying to track down all sources of cosmic rays, high-energy particles that regularly bombard the Earth.
