How’s Paavo? ♡

Thanks for asking Paula, Paavo is doing much better now. He seems to be back in his normal state as he recovered really fast and according to the lab tests there's no problem with his pee anymore. Will need to do another checkup in a month or so though just to make sure, after that don't have to worry about that anymore. I am grateful for all the help and donations, they truly help.

Thank you Paula, for your caring thoughts on Paavo. Riku was a bit hasty in replying about Paavo's conditions, we've actually been noticing some discoloration around his privates since a few days ago. It seems like it might be an infection and it's been growing bigger.

Paavo's been profusely licking his paws and scratching himself most of the time when he's awake, but it looks like what he really wants to do is lick his wound which he fortunately cannot reach. He's also been shedding a lot more fur than usual too. I've been treating it with disinfectant and some coconut oil, along with some energy healing.

Riku called the hospital earlier today, we'll have to take him for an earlier check up very soon.

We'd be very grateful if Paavo can be included in the next meditation for healing intentions.

A quick update on Wind's dog Paavo, he's been doing a lot better. During last week's meditation, Paavo seemed like he was feeling some energies as he was sitting next to Wind and me. He's usually snoring away in his sleep while we meditate, but the last time he was awake and calm.

My father has been visiting us from Japan for this week and we've been enjoying the beautiful nature walks with Paavo. We are so grateful that we could make some good memories together.

This week our intentions for the meditation continue to be a bit similar as before. We are mainly focusing on de-escalating the situation in Iran. Also there are the floods in Asia causing havoc.

Last, but not least and certainly not just for this meditation - but as an quest for the whole life or lifetimes is the The Self-Enquiry Method of Ramana Maharshi. It is a very powerful tool for the ultimate liberation.

That which rises as ‘I’ in the body is the mind. If one inquires as to where in the body the thought ‘I’ rises first, one would discover that it rises in the Heart. That is the place of the mind’s origin. Even if one thinks constantly ‘I’, ‘I’, one will be led to that place. Of all the thoughts that arise in the mind, the ‘I’ thought is the first. It is only after the rise of the “I-thought” that other thoughts occur.

The thought ‘who am I?’ will destroy all other thoughts, and like the stick used for stirring the funeral pyre, it will itself be burnt up in the end. Then, there will be Self-realization. When other thoughts arise, one should not pursue them but should diligently inquire: ‘To whom do they occur?’ It does not matter how many thoughts arise. As each thought arises, one should inquire with alertness, “To whom has this thought arisen?” The answer that would emerge would be “to me”. Thereupon if one inquires “Who am I?” the mind will go back to its source; and the thought that arose will subside.

With repeated practice in this manner, the mind will develop the power to stay in its source. When the mind that is subtle goes out through the brain and the sense organs, the gross names and forms appear; when it stays in the heart, the names and forms disappear. Not letting the mind go out, but retaining it in the Heart is what is called “inwardness”. Letting the mind go out of the Heart is known as “externalisation”. Thus, when the mind stays in the Heart, the ‘I’ which is the source of all thoughts will go, and the Self which ever exists will shine.

Other than inquiry, there are no adequate means to make the mind permanently subside. If the mind is controlled through other means, it will appear to be controlled, but will rise again. Through regulation of breath, the mind will become calm; but it will remain calm only as long as the breath remains controlled. When the breath is no longer regulated, the mind will become active and start wandering.

Like the practice of breath-control, meditation on the forms of God, repetition of mantras, and restriction on diet, are temporary aids for stilling the mind. Through practice of meditation on the forms of God and through repetition of mantras, the mind attains one-pointedness. For such a focused mind self-inquiry will become easy. By observing diet-restriction, the quality of mind improves, which helps self-inquiry.

I would like to add one intention which I wish I wouldn't have to and it's about the mass shootings.

There's a lot of chaos, hate, madness and even planned events happening in the world which are meant to cause people to become more fearful and angry. That's what the dark powers are doing. I set the intention that with our energies (love) we will cancel out these energetic events caused by evil forces. May we calm down the polarizing & dividing energies and bring healing and harmony to those affected and to those who will be continued to affected by these kind of events.

I'm usually very busy with work (I work every day these days, no day-offs) and only have a few minutes on Sundays to read through a very few selection of threads and posts. If any of us here needed help, or our family, friends, etc. who are in need of healing intentions for any health problems or personal life situations, please feel welcome to write on this thread.
