Chairman Graham Announces Hearing on DOJ Inspector General’s Report on FISA Abuse Investigation

DOJ Inspector General Horowitz to Testify Publicly on Dec. 11

WASHINGTON – Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today announced that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz will testify before the Committee on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

The Inspector General will discuss the findings of his investigation into DOJ and FBI’s conduct during the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant process as it relates to the 2016 presidential election.

“I appreciate all the hard work by Mr. Horowitz and his team regarding the Carter Page FISA warrant application and the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign.

“Mr. Horowitz will be appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on December 11, where he will deliver a detailed report of what he found regarding his investigation, along with recommendations as to how to make our judicial and investigative systems better.

“I look forward to hearing from him. He is a good man that has served our nation well.”

This means the IG Report ought to come out prior to the scheduled hearing.

That extensive report on Andrew McCabe - which led to his being fired from the FBI - was released in February of 2018, was a mere 35 pages long.

The FISA report is said to be over 1,000 pages long.

He's not gonna dump it in Congresses' lap just a day or two before he sits down to take questions from Senators about it.

That's not how this works.

People who think Horowitz is gonna sit down for a public hearing with the Senate Judiciary Committee like one day or something after his FISA report is publicly released have this all wrong.

It will have been out and being read by the public for more than a week prior to this.

What's encouraging about this is that is was tweeted/retweeted by two congressman, Thomas Massie and Jim Jordan.

In order for this to happen there needs to a groundswell of public support to offset the forces that wouldn't want the Patriot Act rescinded.

Rep Jim Jordan is under a lot of media attacks these days.

Although this is just speculation, it seems very ironic that the pair just happen to be missing from the show directly after the comments were made.

“I will say, if you take this kill shot, Democrats, ya better not miss,” McCain said during the show last week.

Co-host Joy Behar chimed in to agree by saying, “Yeah.”

“Ya better hit his jugular and if there’s even a finger still moving at the end of it you’re gonna ruin your chances in 2020,” McCain noted while using graphic language. “But you better do this well, if you’re gonna do it. And my faith in Democrats…”

Whoopi Goldberg jumped in to save McCain considering the co-host sounded like she wanted to kill the President.

Schiff’s latest Star (Chamber) witness
So Friday afternoon’s secret impeachment guest in the Capitol Building basement was no other than David Holmes an aide to Ambassador William Taylor who is heading up the embassy in Kiev.

Holmes testified that he and two others from the embassy that he overheard EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland call with the President after speaking with Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelensky. On the call Holmes states he heard the President ask Sondland, “So, he’s going to do the investigation?”

Sondland replied that Zelensky “loves your ass,” and he would pursue the investigation, and also would do “anything you ask him to,” Holmes allegedly heard as well.

So here we have another “witness” overhearing a cellphone conversation in a Kiev restaurant between Sondland and the President alleging quid pro quo.

I am wondering if Igor Korval will be the next one lured to testify before Rep. Adam Schiff’s Star Chamber?

Just read mgray's post for today and want to thank him here for clarifying who Igor Korval is.

I wish I could have asked Vindman one question, which would point to his real involvement in Ukraine. I would ask, “Lt. Col. Vindman do you know Igor Korval?”

Korval is the nuclear energy expert in the Ukraine. As I wrote Tuesday this impeachment is all about covering up the covert trading of nuclear fuel rods all over the Middle East, Central Asia and Northern Africa.

An affirmative answer to that question would have uncovered Schiff’s whole proceeding for what it is. Not quid pro quo, but preserving status quo.

Also, I want to share these relevant comments from mgrays post from yesterday,

Remember what I have said all along with this Ukrainian operation. These charges against Trump are to cover up decades of arms and nuclear energy stockpiling in Ukraine to ship to countries from Afghanistan to northern Africa for purposes of regime change.

So it makes sense that Deep State members from NSC, CIA and State Department would delay developing a better relationship between The White House and the Zelensky administration to keep the operation quiet.

Think about this, why would Trump’s Energy Secretary Rick Perry be part of the administration’s Ukrainian task force (labeled the Three Amigos by the Democrats) — along with EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland and Volker? Is there a part of the infamous call transcript that has been redacted for security reasons by both sides?
