Viral Video Touches the Soul of Million

This video has touched the soul of millions of people around the world. It seems somewhat innocuous but it stirred something deep in the human psyche. This guys (Nathan Apodaca) car broke down so he decided to skateboard to work. It appears that he has probably made some bad choices in life and he was having a bad day but you would never know it from the pure bliss he experiences while going to work.

Steve Nicks and Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac reposted it, Ocean Spray gave Nathan a truck and he has made a considerable amount of money from the video. It has also spawned thousands of humorous and copy cat videos. If you watch the last video below you will see Mick Fleetwood (30 second mark) made a video of his own.

What interests me beyond the pure entertainment experience is what is it about this video that affected so many people so deeply, it seems to have touched something in the collective psyche. I had to watch it 3 times before I could sense the pure joy this guy was having.

I suspect it catches just the right amount of motion, music, gulping of the juice, the tattoo and his pure delight and satisfaction of the moment. What is it about the video that just touches so many souls?
