Earthshine & A Celestial Threesome - Crescent Moon, Venus & Mercury

On November 11, 12 and 13, 2020 watch as the waning crescent Moon joins up with Venus and Mercury before dawn. On the 12th, the Moon will appear just above the "Morning Star," Venus. The next morning the Moon will join the planet Mercury low on the eastern horizon. The bright star between Venus and Mercury is Spica. It's the brightest star of the Virgo constellation, and one of the brightest stars of the night sky.

Earthshine
Now look for something more subtle, the soft glow of Earthshine illuminating the night side of the Moon. Earthshine is twice-reflected sunlight, which bounces off Earth to the Moon, and then back. The best times to observe Earthshine in November are on the 17th through the 20th, following sunset and before dawn on the 9th through the 12th.

NASA sent a set of commands to the Voyager 2 probe on Oct. 29, 2020. It's the first time commands were sent to the probe since the 230-foot-wide (70 meters) Deep Space Station 43 (DSS43) radio antenna went offline for repairs and upgrades

What Would Happen If Asteroid Bennu Hit Earth?

After OSIRIS REx grabbed a sample a coupe of weeks ago many people remarked on how the asteroid just seemed to disintegrate when sampled. Some commenters took this fragility as a sign the asteroids would just disintegrate in the atmosphere before it hit the surface of earth.

Unfortunately that's not the case, Bennu is so large that it would still hit the surface, albeit in fragments and still cause massive amounts of damage.

Atum & The Ennead: Celestial Foundations Of Egyptian Myth

The world's ancient myths, scriptures and sacred stories can be shown to be based on celestial metaphor -- the same system of celestial metaphor forming the foundation for myths from every culture on our earth, from every inhabited continent and island, including the stories and figures in the scriptures we call the Bible. But, can we find the same system at work in the mysterious myths of the awe-inducing civilization of ancient Egypt? When the system of classical hieroglyphic writing, long forgotten, was finally re-deciphered in the early 1800s, scholars were disappointed to find no comprehensive narratives describing gods and goddesses and their adventures, but rather inscriptions which allude to these deities and their exploits as if we should already know them. However, in spite of this, we have more than enough evidence to demonstrate beyond all doubt that the myths of ancient Egypt have their foundation in the same world-wide system of celestial metaphor underlying the ancient myths of virtually every other culture. This video provides just a few examples, from the myths of the so-called "Heliopolitan Theology," including the emergence of the Benben from the primordial waters, the act of generation attributed to the all-encompassing god Atum, and the gods and goddesses of the Ennead, including in addition to Atum the neteru Shu and Tefnut, Nut and Geb, Osiris and Isis, and Set and Nephthys.

How To Find Algol The Demon Star In The Constellation Of Perseus

Algol, also nicknamed the Demon Star, is the second brightest star in the constellation of Perseus. Algol is an excellent example of a variable star since its brightness can change throughout the night. Perseus is an ancient constellation that can be seen during the autumn season in the northern hemisphere. It can be a fairly easy constellation to point out if you know where to look. Perseus has a collection of bright stars and unique star clusters. The two brightest stars, Mirfak and Algol, stand out in the night sky. In this video, we will explore the star called Algol, often nicknamed the Demon Star.

Also is a triple star system. β Persei Aa1 and β Persei Aa2 regularly pass in front of each-other causing eclipses. This system is classified as eclipsing binary stars. In many cultures, Algol is connected with stories of demons, spirits, or monsters. In Greek Mythology, Algol is often represented as the head of Medusa. In Hebrew folklore, Algol was called Rōsh ha Sāṭān, or "Satan's Head". The name Algol is derived from the Arabic term ra’s al-ghul, which means 'head of the ogre'.

According to the results of a study released at the end of October, half of the stars with temperatures similar to that of the Sun, could have rocky planets, which in turn could have water and consequently life.

“A Statistical Treatment of the Drake Equation with the implications for the understanding of the Fermi Paradox and some hypotheses about UAP technology”

Abstract: The presentation will demonstrate the results of a study of how factors in the Drake Equation can be used in a statistical sense to get an understanding of the probability of how often the Earth might encounter a Space Faring civilization. The life time of technological civilizations will be contrasted to the time that the Earth has had to develop an intelligent species with technological capability to be considered a rudimentary Space Faring Species. Further a sufficiently advanced species may have space faring technology of a nature that would be difficult to understand much less intercept. The lifetime of Earthly Civilizations, the differing motivations of Cultures, and the biological diversity of lifeforms will be used to inform the presentation.

Bio: Peter Reali has a BS and MSEE from the University of California Berkeley. He had a long career in Silicon Valley as an electrical design engineer and manager of engineering projects. His specialty was in telecommunications and network and information technologies. He has designed systems including mobile telephone control systems, fiber optic ring networks, T1, T3, and Sonnet communication systems. He has done design in digital phase lock loop and network timing synchronization. He has done digital design using FPGA technologies to implement networking equipment. He has led project teams as an engineering manager. Currently he is retired and enjoys photography as a member of the Boise Camera Club, plays blues harmonica with the Boise Blues Society and does research with the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies. Peter Reali is a member of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies [SCU]. He has been a seriously involved member since early 2018 and was attracted to join the SCU due to its serious mission to investigate this phenomenon in a scientific manner. He has done major sections in the SCU's most recent report "A Forensic Analysis of Navy Carrier Strike Group Eleven's Encounter with an Anomalous Aerial Vehicle". He has been interested in this phenomenon for many years and has read extensively but not participated in group investigations due to time constraints with his career and the often sensational and unscientific methods employed by most organizations.

Dr. Horace Drew | Time Travel & Crop Circles

Horace Drew grew up in Florida during the 1960s and 70s, then took a Ph.D in Chemistry at Caltech in 1981, where he did several of the first high-resolution x-ray structures of DNA. He then spent five years between 1982-1987 doing post-doctoral research on DNA and chromosomes at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. He moved to Australia in 1987 and has lived there ever since. Later in the 1990s he began to do DNA forensic research as a private hobby with UFO investigator Bill Chalkler. Horace became interested in crop circles only in 2002, when the Crooked Soley 'curved DNA' formation showed what he and other colleagues were meeting to discuss, just 50 km away in Cambridge! Astronomical Interpretations of Recent Crop Formations.

Following his very well-received presentation last year, Horace looks in detail at several of the crop patterns from this and recent years and demonstrates his belief that in them we are being given accurate and astonishing information on celestial clocks and calendars, via sophisticated astronomical diagrams.
